Luciano’s Ristorante

Great place for a family dinner. Service was great and the good came in a timely manner. I ordered two of the specials the night we went. The first was an appetizer that included tasty crabmeat placed inside a fresh avocado. It was delicious. My entrée included lobster, mussels and black inked pasta. Also amazing.

Went there for a business luncheon. Not the best area outside but inside, was surprisingly classy. Menu was a little beyond the traditional italian offerings. Was feeling seafood and ordered the Lobster Roll P.L.T. I had the losing entrée as got quick food envy seeing other meals being significantly portioned better and tastier than my selection. The lobster roll was filled with lobster salad with small strands of lobster. It was like a very small heaping of lobster salad where I tasted the bread than anything. The consensus from the table was the best part of lunch was the french fries. Best french fries I had in awhile! (yes in an Italian ristorante!) Maybe it was a different oil they cooked in to produce the different texture and flavor, but it was good. I’m sure it was dinner or had ordered something different, it may have been better.

Great Italian restaurant with good food. My wife, and girls joined me and we experienced this restaurant after lodging a short distance away in Rahway. It was Memorial weekend and a Sunday and we where surprised that this establishment was open after going to several others that where closed. We enjoyed the mussels, and calamari as appetizers, the veal, seafood fettuccine and chicken picatta as entries. Then split terimassue.
Good food!

I am going to keep it at 5 stars because I love the food and service here. But, I was extremely disappointed that when we made our reservation we were not told that we would be seated in the bar area because there would be a (extremely loud with DJ music blasting most of the night) party in the main dining room. Of course I will be back again but am not sure if I can say the same for my friends who were there for the first time.
Thank you to our server Angela for making the best of a bad situation and to Chef Joe for cooking up another fine meal but honestly if I had known, we would have made other plans.

Came here a few weeks back for a friend’s birthday. I ordered the chicken Marsala and it was excellent! Everything everyone ordered was a big hit and the tiramisu was delicious, definitely recommend it as a dessert. This restaurant is on the pricey side but is definitely worth it.

I love this restaurant have been there numerous times with family and friends, they have two main dining areas, and a lounge with a fireplace and piano. The last time I was there I had crab cake for appetizer & seafood pasta made at my specifications for dinner both delicious, if your looking for a quick bite for two I recommend the Antipasto Misto, and White Sangria

My first time here I was recommended by a friend of mine and all I can say is he was right! Me and my wife just came in for a drink. I had a Manhattan and she had the Cosmo. They were made perfect probably the best I had in a long time. The ambiance was very friendly and clean. Out bartender Alissa or Alicia (sorry bad with names) recommended a whiskey mash since she saw I was a fan of bourbon. She sold us and it was tasty. We originally did not plan on eating but she changed our minds. We will be back for a full dining experience. Your bartender is a keeper she won us over.

This place is amazing!!! The food and service get better every time we visit. The extensive menu never disappoints and the chef has a constant selection of innovative and delicious specials. Friday nights feature live music and the bar is well stocked. Quality, value and comfort, what more could you ask for?
Highly recommend!!!

Amazing Sangria, a bit pricey for the location.

Good service at the lounge. I ate the pan seared sea bass in shrimp risotto. When i first ordered it the server tells me the specials and he said it is on lobster risotto but just before they served my plate he said that it is shrimp risotto he ask me if that is ok i said yes since i have not eaten a risotto. A little pricey but portion is enough the fish just melts in your mouth. I am surely going back to this restaurant.

I discovered Luciano’s at a company holiday party this past December 2015 and was amazed at the quality of their service, atmosphere, and food. We all had a five course meal and each one was perfect. I wish I had more details about the name but I don’t know exactly. What I do not own is that we were served something called Antipasto (I’m Caribbean, I had no idea what that was) and loved it. For my entrée, I chose grilled swordfish over lobster risotto. I’m at a loss of words for how delicious that was. I’m definitely taking my family there, hands down. I recommend all to go. Thank me later lol!

Quality of the food is very good especially for the area. A little pricy for what you get
Had a pear mesclun salad, grilled octopus and lamb chop lollipops for appetizers. Very nice presentation on the salad. Not overly dressed. Only three pieces of lamb for $ 15 or $ 18 so pricy. Sauce was tasty. Lamb was overlooked slightly. Asked for medium rare.
Sea scallops entrée had three very large scallops. Liked this a lot.
Kids liked there tagliatelle with lamb bolognese. Fresh home made pasta is a standout.

Food is amazing, anything you order you will LOVE. I am obsessed with all of their risottos. The sangria is amazing as well, they make it fresh to order every time, even if it’s just a glass. The bar area also has tables for a more live feel if that’s what you’re into that night but I usually eat in the dinning room which is very classy and elegant. Parking across the street as well as valet. Love this place!

I consider myself lucky to live fairly close to this restaurant. The décor is very elegant with a very casual atmosphere. Although the main dinning room is very appealing with plenty of elbow room, my wife and I prefer sitting on the bar side when it’s just the two of us, there’s the view of the street as well as the beautiful bar.
The service is very professional and not overwhelming. They seem to know just when to stop by the table to make sure everything is OK.
The Food Is Outstanding… Hands Down! I cannot say enough about Chief Joseph and the quality of the food he and his staff puts out. It’s not only what is being cooked that counts, it’s how it’s cooked as well. The attention to detail shows in every plate of food I have ever had at Luciano’s. The menu, along with the specials, seems to be well thought out with very interesting choices.
The wine list has plenty of choices either by the glass or by the bottle with price ranges at every level. The bar is fully stocked with friendly, knowledgeable bartenders.
We’ve been eating at Luciano’s since they first opened and have eaten there many times since and as long as they continue doing what they do, the way they do it… I’m sure we’ll be eating there many more times in the future.

We really enjoyed the fried calamari. It was well prepared well spiced improperly fried. Nice and crispy. We had the braised short rib ravioli which was incredible. Also the lobster risotto was delicious and creamy.
The lounge at a jazz duo that added a nice ambience to the bar area. The service was great cristiana and George were delightful. Will definitely be back

We made reservations for an anniversary dinner last weekend.
Valet parking, coat check, prompt seating and a cocktail menu made me a very happy camper right from the start!
Cocktails were strong and the sangria was delicious.
The atmosphere was very romantic and ambient.
Service was excellent.
We had a three course meal and loved it all. This is the kind of place that makes me want to become a regular.

I have been to Luciano’s twice now for dinner with my family. From the service to the atmosphere to the food, everything has been top notch!
I wish I could remember the server’s name from the first time, but he was great and was able to accommodate some of my special dietary requests without a problem. Most recently we went to celebrate my mom’s birthday and on a whim, she asked if they anything like eggplant part or rollatini that wasn’t listed on the menu. Our server Angela said she would ask the kitchen as they had served eggplant rollatini for a banquet party earlier in the day and they may have some left to make. My mom was in luck! The food was once again delicious and the entire waitstaff is great.
One teeny tiny suggestion would be to slow the bussing of the tables down just one notch, a few times a plate was going to be snatched away before the person was done eating, or a wine glass that still had a sip left pulled away. We appreciate a clean table and attentive service, but also want to take the time to enjoy our food and wine. Not enough to even take a star away as everything was really great!

My parents and I came here for dinner one weekday evening and had a very enjoyable time, throughout the entirety of which our server was polite and professional.
My father started with a Luciano’s amaretto sour cocktail, which both my parents liked a lot. I had the dirty Double Cross martini and I still think wistfully back to that drink from time to time.
We shared the jumbo lump crab cake bruschetta appetizer, and then my parents shared the Maine lobster risotto (they weren’t that hungry) while I had the seafood fettuccini fra diavolo. The ingredients were all top-​notch and well prepared, and everything was delicious. I only wish the portions were larger – not monstrous like those at diners or the Cheesecake Factory, but just a little more would have been perfect. Still worth five stars, though.

Service is good, food is better, and the atmosphere is nice.
We had lunch here last week… and walking in from the cold, you are welcomed by the hostess and the nice warm fire place… we decided right next to the fire place, in the bar/​dining area.
Ordered the pasta fagioli soup, which came in a very nice, covered ceramic bowl.
For the main course, my wife had the gnocchi, and i had the chicken panini.
Gnocchi melted in your mouth and the flavor was amazing. Chicken panini was also very good, with some shoe string fries. The fresh basil, and the pesto gave it some great flavor.
Using Unilocal to check in, we were able to get a free desert… my wife ordered the Gelato, which was ok. Not as smooth and soft as we would like… but not bad.
Great restaurant in Rahway., that is worth the travel.

I went here for my cousin’s baby shower. Luciano’s is a newer restaurant located in Rahway’s up and coming downtown area. They offer a valet service, as well as free parking on their gravel lot. Though Luciano’s is a restaurant, it’s more like someone’s HOME, which is a wonderful thing. You are greeted by a hostess/​doorman. They offer coat check and you are then ushered to your party. There were three large living/​dining rooms on the main floor. The baby shower was in the room towards the left of the front door. It was spacious, cozy, and warm, with a fireplace in the center. It was clean and we had the most attentive servers. For the first course, we had butternut squash soup. (Creamy, nutty, perfect for a cold day) It was followed by a tomato/​mozzarella salad, orrecchiette pasta with spinach, and my entrée selection of Eggplant Parmigiana.
Yum, yum, and yum! Everything was spaced out nicely and super delicious. The portions sizes were perfect and I didn’t feel overwhelmed with too much food. My belly was full and happy.
I really enjoyed my lunch here. I think it’s a great place for a large or small family dinner, to celebrate being family or for a special occasion. I will definitely be back in the future for date night or family dinner night.
