What a charming place. We recently stayed here for one night while visiting some friends in the area, the property was lovely and is perched high up on the river bank with an amazing view. Our room was quite an experience, we stayed in the Oriental Lilly room and the theme was well executed, from the paper wall dividers to the koi decorations the room was a pleasant escape with a very comfortable bed. Breakfast was very good and the staff were very accomodating.

My daughter and I stayed at the Nesselrod B&B after touring Radford. Our stay was wonderful; comfy accommodations, delicious breakfast, and the innkeeper, Mark, couldn’t have been nicer. The grounds are beautiful and we had an awesome dinner up the road at the Bull and Bones restaurant at the Peter Dye Golf Course. We will definely be back to the Nesselrod B&B if our daughter decides on Radford.

Clean, beautiful, friendly, quiet. My husband and I stayed here during our wedding night in March 2013 in the Japanese style private room. It was warm, private, and comfortable. The room was positioned off of the main house and had a private garden. The room has two stories. The first floor has a small sofa and fireplace, a Jacuzzi tub, and small fridge. Upstairs was a king sized bed with a TV. It was so comfortable and worth the price. I recently stayed here as the matron of honor for my friend’s wedding. She had rented the whole B&B out, so we had our choice of rooms. We also had the rare experience of getting to see the whole place without others around. All the rooms seemed very comfortable and were all decorated a bit differently. All of them had their perks(bigger beds, nicer baths or showers). All had private bathrooms and private controls for heat and air. The wedding was beautiful and went off without a hitch. Also, the breakfast was delicious! Stay here for a comfortable and relaxing experience.

We have two daughters at Radford, so we’ve stayed in the Super8, and every other not so great hotel in town. We are nearing the end of six years of tuition so spending the extra money for the Nesstlerod was very special and an absolutely wonderful night. The daughters came for breakfast at 10 the next morning, which was delicious and lovely, sitting in the sunny window area at a round table. We stayed in the room with the rain shower and fire place. We loved it and it was worth the splurge. There is nothing negative to say.

My son and I spent a couple nights at Nesselrod while exploring Southwestern Virginia on a cross-country road-trip in June 2011. It was a trip highlight. Mark and Rebecca provided us wonderful and very personal hospitality. Our room was very comfortable, and breakfast both mornings was very delicious and everything was homemade. And the property is conducive to relaxation and enjoyment. It’s right on the river, and it has been beautifully landscaped. My son played his guitar down in their amphitheatre, and I took a yoga class. And from there, we explored«the crooked road» area of Virginia. Highly recommended. Would be great for a romantic getaway.
