When I first walked in I didn’t expect much; However, It turns out this place is an epicenter of authentic central American cuisine. The food here is EXCELLENT from tacos to quesadillas. I was pleasantly suprised at how good the tacos were. The taco meat was cooked almost perfectly. The food came out within a few minutes and came with a mild salsa. The plantains we ordered came with mole sauce. The restaurant was clean and spacious with a casual atmosphere. The food was cheap for lunch. I would recommend this place to everyone but will warn that the plantains are a huge dish.

Never had a Papusa before… Was delicious! However, my boyfriend says he has had better. He’s the real food critic I liked it. Felt like I found something good. Worth the try.

Wanted to stop for something quick off 81… and wow! so good. Had chips and salsa, fried plantains, chicken pupusas, and chicken quesadillas for about $ 20. Everything was fresh and homemade. Had plenty of leftovers for the rest of the drive back to Pennsylvania. Definitely recommend giving this place a try.

This is as close as you are going to get to authentic Latin American food in the NRV. I have never had a bad meal from this place. Plantains with black beans– great mix of sweet and savory. Pineapple and pork quesadilla is one of my favorite and the fried Yuca with slaw is a must try. The papusas are always delicious. As well as the vegetarian plate– which you can add a meat to and is like a fajita bowl.

Great food, not the greatest atmosphere. Bathroom had no soap and paper towels. Employees were very nice… if the establishment was more presentable it would’ve gotten 5 stars from me.

Just got back from dinner, which was fabulous. We had a tamale, bean papusas, pork tacos, and chicken soup. The tamale and papusas both came with pickled vegetables, which I loved! The tamale was especially delicious piled high with cabbage and salsa. I enjoyed the pork tacos a bit more than my boyfriend did. I enjoyed the crispiness of the pork. The soup was also good, very flavorful, fatty broth loaded with veggies. Apparently it is cooked(and served) with bone-in chicken, and it also came with a piece of corn on the cob floating in the broth. The corn and chicken were both juicy. Everything was served with soft, fluffy, house-made tortillas. We got bottled Jarritos to drink, but found out as we were leaving that they have horchata available, as well. We bought some horchata concentrate from the little store by the counter to get our fix later! Finally, the service was excellent. The decorations are plain, but the people are kind and passionate about sharing delicious food. The young man who took our order let us sample soup before we ordered it, and gave us suggestions when we asked. The lady who rang us up(the owner, I believe) gave us suggestions for next time, along with advice on how to prepare horchata at home. We really enjoyed our meal, and can’t wait to go back!

If you’ve never had Salvadorian food, you should definitely give this place a try. Their food is excellent. When you first walk in, there is a little«shop» area with a sales counter. That counter is where you place your order. If you’re eating in, they will then bring your plates over to the attached dining area. We started with the chicken tamales tonight. They were super delicious … especially with the curtido(pickled cabbage and stuff). If you like tamales, you should definitely try these. Then, we had the black bean pupusas. These were even better. I ate mine with only the salsa, but my GF enjoyed the curtido with those, as well.(If you had to ask yourself«what’s a pupusa?» then you need to put on your shoes and grab your car keys. Like now. Go). Next, we had pork tacos. They were pretty good, too. Finally, we finished our meal with some chicken soup. We were pretty full, obviously, before we even started the soup. So, it really says something that we ate it all. Personally, I found the bone-in chicken a little hard to eat from a soup, but it was very tasty. The soup also came with corn-on-the-cob and some homemade tortillas that were absolutely delicious. If those tortillas were the only thing they served, this place would still be worth going to. And the service was really good, as well. Everyone is very friendly and very attentive.

This place was fantastic. I seriously had my doubts, but we tried it anyway. Very fresh and authentic Salvadorian food. All the tortillas are made by hand and come out warm, straight off the griddle. I had the carne asada and a single chicken pupusa, and my husband has a chicken quesadilla. Everything was phenomenal!

This was surprisingly good! Authentic style and delicious food. This is NOT your traditional texmex restaurant which is what makes this a diamond in the rough! If you like authentic Salvadorian food, this is a MUST try. Keep in mind they do not serve alcohol and I believe they are cash only… no CCs, but the food is sooooo worth the visit. They are way down on west main street in Radford, so keep that in mind if you have never been there before.

Great food– and lots of it. The whole Tilapia was lovely, crispy exterior flaky and tender. Vegetarian dish of rice, black beans, cilantro, tomatoes and onions. Great to find well prepared niche ethnic food in Radford!

Had decided to come here based on the reviews and based on my search for good corn tortillas. We ordered chicken pupusas, carne asada, and fried yucca. All arrived quickly and piping hot. The fried yucca was to die for, super crispy with a tender flaky interior, like potato but a bit of a sweetness. Served with crema drizzled on top and a tasty carrot onion pickle. Also some homemade salsa. The pupusas were tender and flavorful, with mildly spiced chicken and cheese on the inside. The carne asada was tender and juicy not dry, with delicious black beans and rice. The serving sizes were large and satisfying and the kitchen is open. You can see that it is super clean and sanitary. I got some pozole(spicy soup) to take home for lunch the next day and tasted it though I was still so full. It was spicy and amazing. Can’t believe I have missed out on this wonderful eatery until now! Worth the trip from Blacksburg for sure and will work itself into my regular rotation. A must try! Oh! The corn tortillas were everything I hoped for! Tasty, fluffy and so good!

This was my first time eating here; I don’t get to Radford often, well NEVER actually. But now I’m going to have to make excuses to come back. The two vegetarians shared a veggie plate(rice, beans, cheese, sour cream & fresh salsa) and an order of bean pupusas. Both were excellent — I’m craving more pupusas already. Our carnivorous companions had chicken quesadillas & reported them very good. I’ll be back.

Latino’s Taste is a hidden gem in Radford. I didn’t know about it until I had lived in town for two years and am so happy I tried it. Everything is extremely authentic and fresh. You can tell that they really take pride in the food that they serve and it pays off. I personally always order the beef tacos and yuca. I brought a Guatemalan friend and she and I both agreed that it is amazing and super authentic.

What a pleasant surprise in the west end of Radford. After hearing many good reviews of this Salvadoran restaurant we finally gave it a try this past Sunday. It is far from white tablecloth but the food is definitely five star. All the ingredients are fresh and the service is friendly. I had pupusas, which is a masa corncake stuffed with pork and some vegetables. My wife had a beef and cheese quesadilla which was huge and delicious. Both came with homemade salsa and pico de gallo, a pickled cabbage and we both shared a side of fried Yucca. This amount of food was more than the two of us could eat and we were hungry. What a great find!

We’re from northern VA, where you can find extremely authentic salvadorian food, mexican, peruvian etc. You would think your in El Salvador when your here. PHENOMENAL food. My God, I can’t even say one negative thing about this place. The lady that makes the food is the only one who does it, so the service isn’t SLOW, she’s just the only one working and putting every effort into whatever she is making. The menu is very limited, but so is she, you can only do so much cooking alone. She is a great cook, and brings the salvadoran taste to Radford, VA. Best pupusas i’ve ever had in my life! By the way, service is amazing there, their very accommodating.
