While traveling on business woke up early early and was hungry for a good breakfast instead of the free but mediocre hotel breakfast Checked on Unilocal and found this little gem. Service great, food delicious, immaculately clean. Will come back again when my travels lead me to Racine.

I saw the outstanding reviews for this place and decided to take my parents for breakfast. Our meals came quickly and exactly as we had ordered, but I didn’t feel like there was anything special about them. The coffee was good and our meals were hot and enjoyable. The waitresses seemed like they didn’t want to be there, and both inside and outside left a lot to be desired aesthetically. It was fairly loud inside, and there was a bit of an incline to get into the restaurant which was difficult for my handicapped father. This is not somewhere I would take company or anyone I want to impress. I probably won’t return.

This place is great! It is the cutest Mom n Pop type of place in town. My boyfriend and I love going out for breakfast and he found Yuni’s so we decided to try it. We have been there several times now. The breakfast is good and inexpensive. Never had gyro and eggs until here and now I’m addicted. The main reason I gave so many stars is for the service. The waitresses are very friendly and you will never have an empty coffee cup. The bus girls walk around with coffee constnatly refilling cups. The food comes out in a timely manner even when they are busy. I love these types of places because of the atmosphere. The waitress joke around with customers and know them by name. Even Yuni, the owner, has been there a few times helping the bus girls with coffee refills and table cleaning. Yes it is cash only but the few reviewers that were annoyed by this remember that’s how they keep their prices lower then the other chain breakfast restaurants. Using credit or debit there is a charge to the business between $ 0.20−0.80 per dollar which isn’t an issue for chains but for small local places those charges can add up.

After having visited many breakfast locations in both Racine and Kenosha my wife and I on our first visit have fallen head over heels for Yuni’s. We tried their breakfast and when done ordered lunch to go. The service was outstanding and extremely friendly. I’m impressed how much people still care about their guests here at Yuni’s. Do yourself a favor, treat your loved ones to a real neighborhood café. You won’t regret it. Home made soup, good coffee and fresh fruit. Now that’s what I’m talking about.

Great place for breakfast. Reasonably priced. Good service. Good food. I use to live in Kenosha so Franks was my breakfast spot of choice but if I don’t feel like driving Yunni’s is my second choice

Great small little business. Went there for the first time and absolutely loved the chocolate chip pancakes & mixed fruit. Scrambled eggs seemed a bit odd, thin & rubbery. Service & everything else was great though.

This is a regular weekly haunt. Breakfast is great, Kelly’s the best. You can’t go wrong for a local joint for breakfast or lunch.

Unilocal usually leads us right, and Yuni’s was no exception. Found myself in Racine for a wedding and needed someplace that wasn’t a chain, because, ew. So Yuni’s.it’s tiny and packed so be prepared to wait. But the blueberry pancakes are fabulous, the eggs exactly over medium and when you ask for crispy bacon you get crispy bacon. It’s good old diner food of the finest caliber. Yuni herself greeted us and was a lovely hostess, and the rest of the wait staff was on it in a way only good old diner staff is. This place is obviously a regular haunt for many locals and I can see why. We got a very solid breakfast for a great price. Bring cash, because Yuni doesn’t do plastic. Any time I find myself in Racine I’ll go back.

Stopped by Yuni’s on the 4th of July when my bf and I were up there for Summerfest. Delicious breakfast place, breakfast served all day! I ordered a create-your-own-omelette option that they had and threw in ham, mozzarella, onion, and mushrooms. YumYum! There were hash browns served with my omelette and I was pleasantly surprised to find that it was not at all oily like how some breakfast places have their omelettes and hash browns. I also ordered OJ, which was almost $ 3 for a small glass. IT’s not really worth it to be honest, so wouldn’t get that unless you were desperate for your OJ fix. My BF got a chicken tender omelette, which had tender grilled chicken strips inside. I thought it was going to be those battered and fried strips so I was skeptical in the beginning. Turns out to be quite nice. He also got hash browns and wheat toast with his order as well. Overall, the experience was pretty good in terms of food. In terms of service, even though they got an award for good service, I didn’t feel particularly welcomed by the staff or anything of that sort. I think me an my BF got a waitress that was not very into interacting with a customer which can happen at any dining place.

This restaurant was rated best breakfast in Racine, WI, how it won that title mystifies me. It is a very small place décor was ok, and the staff was very friendly. The servers were quick with the coffee and my cup never went empty. I ordered steak and eggs and it was way below average. The potatoes were straight out of a bag, my eggs were under cooked, my toast was old bread that was toasted, super dry and finally my small cut of steak had so much grease in it that by the time I cut it all out I had about 3 bites worth of meat. BTW they only take cash. I am sorry but I have an attachement for my iphone if I need to take a card for something. If you are a food truck or a remotely located restraunt I cna see only taking cash. But this was next door to a huge shopping area. Not going back.

Voted Best of Racine for breakfast and server for two years running. I ordered the ham skillet which is hash browns with ham, onions and green peppers topped with cheese underneath two eggs done your way and two slices of toast. It was a very good size portion. It could’ve used more peppers and ham but had plenty of cheese(hey, we are in Wisconsin). Hash browns were browned perfectly for my liking. The skillet and endless coffee cost just over $ 8. Service was fine. Food came out quickly. Coffee cup was always full. Just a note, this is a cash-only business so plan ahead.

Possibly the most uninspiring restaurant breakfast I ever had in my life. If the people of Racine voted Yuni’s #1 Breakfast in Racine then all I can say is they have very bad taste or low standards — probably both. The food is frugally bland but it is served fast. It appears Yuni’s is more of a ruse to get you in and out fast. This is short order food with zero creativity and it appears the cooks are instructed to forego quality and taste for speed. Yuni’s makes for a very bad«Foodie» experience. Don’t be fooled by the ratings or the #1 Breakfast spot in Racine. Trust me — IT’S NOT! Find another restaurant, you’ll be happy you did.

It’s a diner with all the offerings of a diner. The waitress Kelly was great, which is why she won best waitress of 2012, or something like that. Ordered the spicy chicken wrap with fries, and a senior sandwich and soup special. The food is cheap but the prices were a little high. I’ll stick to going to Douglas Diner, or Roberts Roost for diner style food. The café passed out fresh baked cookies that I thought was a nice touch.

I’m Polish + I like Polish Sausage = Ordered the Kielbasa Skillet Ask for Swiss instead of American cheese… it’s melted heaven Get the italian bread for toast… it’s like having garlic bread for breakfast. Brilliant! Ordered my eggs over hard and they were PERFECT. I don’t like my yolks runny, but most places overcook the eggs until they are hard, dried and burned but not Yuni’s. They know what they are doing! Hashbrowns were abundant and perfectly mixed with the green peppers :-) OTHERINFO Wisconsin sized portion sizes so you won’t leave hungry Cash Only Seat yourself Total Bill for 2 Kielbasa Skillets and 2 cups of coffee = $ 18 This restaurant has won the best breakfast award in the county in ’07 ’09 ’10 ’11& ’12 and I can see why. The next time we return to Racine, this is our breakfast spot!

I have friends and family that go to Yuni’s every Saturday morning. Sometimes I go along if I am not working or otherwise busy. The service from Kelly the waitress is great. I might think that I only get good service from her because I am with a group of weekly regulars but for the articles and reviews posted on the wall at the restaurant. Yuni’s(and Kelly specifically) have won many«Best of Racine(Racine Journal Times)» awards over the years, and with good reason. The food is good; it is exactly what I expect from a diner. The cooks never seem to have a problem cooking to order: «Blacken my toast; my bacon should oink; easy on the onions,» etc. This is greasy spoon diner fare as it should be. Definitely the best diner food I’ve had in Racine. Note that Yuni’s is CASHONLY. No checks. No credit. Just cash.

The grub was solid. Good portions and great prices. The bb pancakes had tons of berries, without all that corn syrupy compote crud. The mexican skillet rocked the house. The service is good too. I’ll be back.
