Excellent food and really a great place to eat for fine dining. The experience was impacted by a poor service standard that was more fitting of a diner. Patty h you need to get some training as the meal was negatively influenced by your wait skills or lack there of. Next visit i will request the older gentleman we have had many times before. Bummer! It could have been so much better.

Great Place! Excellent food and drink at a good value. The atmosphere is perfect– it is upscale but not stuffy.

A really good restaurant… like going out for a drive in the country and finding this gem. A nice bar area to the left when entering, and a large dining area, Menu is amazing with good pricing. Rack of lamb was absolutely fabulous along with the wonderful potatoes. Not sure of they make the beard, but it was outstanding. Steaks were good, but nothing spectacular. They have a house specialty dessert,(sorry, forgot the name) the was one the best we ever had. Service was slightly off the night we were there, but that happens on occasion. One warning… they charged us a 12 dollar split charge for the lamb. The never said anything about that, and since the dinners come with nothing, that is hard to justify.

File this under«Hidden Gem». My wife and I regularly go shooting at an indoor range literally a mile from Sebastians. I had done a locate on google to find restaurants and came across this place. We decided to try it after shooting one night, a Monday night, and it was fabulous. Fine dining in a laid back atmosphere, no jacket required. Great food, great service, GREATDRINKS. Couple things to note: If you’re used to a waitress or waiter being«up your rear» ever few minutes, this isn’t the place. They know their place, are very accommodating, and otherwise leave to to enjoy the company of whomever you’re with as well as the surroundings. Highly recommend the fireplace room especially in the winter. Very cozy. Sampled the Pork Rib Chop and some Salmon, both very good. I also ordered the grilled oysters, which were phenomenal, great char and just the perfect amount of seasoning. Finished with the flourless chocolate tort/cake, also very well done. This is NOT budget dining, HOWEVER, they do have a fixed price 3 course meal on Fridays for $ 22 a head, which is a deal anywhere. Overall, great experience, great food.

We tried this based on a local recommendation. The service was great– friendly, timely but not rushed, and they didn’t try to upsell menu items. We enjoyed the ambiance and coat check. On Fridays, they have a fixed price menu that was a great deal and tasted wonderful. We will be back for sure

We had an absolutely terrible experience at this restaurant. Our waiter was so incredibly rude, I don’t think I’ve ever been treated so badly by a member of a waitstaff in my life, and I eat out at least twice a week. When I called to speak to the manager about our experience, all she did was say she would look into it and call me back, and then never called back. Needless to say, we will not be back. The food is mediocre at best. For the prices they are charging, and the service they are providing, do yourself a favor and patronize a restaurant that will truly value your business.

The food, atmosphere and service were outstanding. Kale soup was to die for. Mussels in garlic broth close to the best ever had. We will definitely be back and ask to be seated in the dining room with the fireplace.

I’ve had bad experiences here, in the past, but I’m going to assume they were just going through a rough spell, because hot-damn they’ve really pulled it all together! The last two or three visits, that I’ve paid, have been fantastic. On top of boasting an elegant, yet comfortable, ambience and an expert waitstaff, Sebastian’s menu is always filled with a diverse selection of select delectables. Poultry, fish, beef, salads… I’ve tried em all, in multiple variations. All with good to outstanding results. Two of my favorites are the small plate seared tuna and the burrata(which I often order in a strange little tandem!) The outdoor summer seating area, with its own outdoor chef station, has added a hip appeal for the temperate months. Repave the parking lot, and you got a smash out of the park, here!!!

I love the atmosphere and the wine and cocktail selection are good. I’ve had some hit or miss food there which is disappointing. For a while, it was always delicious however my last meal was not the usual standard. My drink order was goofed up and my steak came out burnt. What was most surprising was the lack of care about the issues from the staff. Makes me reluctant to return since the meal is not cheap.

I enjoy going there and the food is delicious. A nice atmosphere especially is summer when you can enjoy their beautiful patio seating. Cons… The bar is small, and the median age of the clientele is 60 years old, so it’s a very dry and quiet atmosphere. I’m not joking about the age either. If you’re looking for a quiet delicious dinner, I recommend it.

This is definitely a nice place, white table cloths waiters wearing long sleeve white shirts, ties etc. The food to me is fine, I don’t think it awesome, but its good. Service is everything you’d expect from a higher end restaurant. I have been here multiple times with other people. One thing I really do like is their bread basket, there’s always at least one pretzel roll in there and I happily grab it every time. In the end, it’s a good restaurant, it’s just not my thing.

Scott Sebastian has put together a dining experience that is more like San Francisco or NYC than — Racine? I have never had a disappointing meal at Sebastian’s. It is a more upscale place than most in the area but for REAL restaurant QUALITY food you cannot go wrong here. Casual Fridays feature 2 special three-course meals(choice of soup or salad, both excellent, choice of meat entrée or seafood entrée, always superb, and choice of desserts for $ 20 per person. This is an incredible deal. For special occasions, like New Years, you may drop $ 150+ for dinner and drinks for two but you and your baby will love it. Full bar, great wine list, very creative chef and staff. This is my favorite restaurant in the Midwest and one of my favorites in the world. Serving locally sourced products that are fresh and beautiful. Love the ambience too. In fact, I want to go there right now.

We were in town for the Renaissance Faire and decided to have a nice dinner. Sebastian’s was an excellent choice. I ordered the Pheasant and was pleasantly surprised and pleased with the dish. The flavors melded perfectly with the wine our server graciously help me to select. My companion had fried oysters for his appetizer. We have both lived on the coast & are snobs about our seafood. Those were the very best fried oysters either of us have ever had. .. hands down!!! Lush and full and succulent with no rubbery texture. They were cooked to perfection! His entrée was the Walleye. Again, it was cooked to perfection. The sauces were brilliant and complimented our entrees without overpowering them. The service was fantastic and the atmosphere was quiet enough to allow easy conversation and yet lively enough to keep us entertained. All in all, a wonderful memory of our visit to this area.

went here for dinner with friends. nice atmosphere, we had reservations and the place filled up quick. three of us ordered the ribeye special and one the fillet. the steaks were excellent. server was cordial. ialso had the shrimp bisque. should have called it tomato soup. pretty poor job on the bisque. the potatoes that came with the meal where some attempt at a scalloped potatoe. came out mushy and over cooked. we ordereda side of mushrooms. Unfortunately, they where under cooked. still crunchy in the middle. the desserts where a big hit. we got the manderin cake and found it delightful. overall would give it 2.5 but Unilocal only does whole stars. a little pricy for what you get. could be a really nice place but the details are not consistent on the meals.

This place continues to get better and better. The wine list is solid and the creativity of the food is above average. The walleye was cooked to perfection

Have been here twice recently for the 20 $ special on Friday(soup or salad, entrée, dessert) had the ribeye last time, it was great. dessert was delicious also. I plan on going back soon, would like to try a seafood dish. Our service was excellent, also.

This and the Corner House are probably the two best fine-dining places in Racine, and Sebastian’s has a far more interesting menu. I sometimes think they are a bit too aware that they are the best in town, but I may be over-sensitive to hints of pretension. On our last visit, my wife had the shrimp tempura with roasted vegetables on the side; she thought it very good, if a bit more salty than she prefers. Although it was labelled as «smaller» entrée, there was really quite a bit of shrimp, probably as much food as my regular entrée, chicken rolled in ham with grilled asparagus on the side – also very good. Our starters, a salad for her and a thick organic vegetable soup for me, were also quite good.

Wow! I’m a raving fan! … I tell more people about this place then my own! old school ambiance… classy and comfortable… Killer modern food! The steaks and fresh seafood are to die for! I have been here 3 time and I hightly recommend all of their specials, esp on fridays, crazy cheep. Side note, I don’t understand why or how they have foul reviews.
