Or maybe you yearn to swab the deck of a seafaring vessel… if these thoughts have ever crossed your romantic thoughts of the sea, then you may find yourself here. This is one of a few sea schools in the area. At one point they offered AB courses, but now this location mostly serves Captains and First Mates. One hot tip about this place is Ms. Teresa and her staff. These women know the ins and puts of the Marine industry as well as what the coast guard will require of you. If you attend their classes, they will fill out your paperwork to send off for your endorsements. However, lets say you are just starting out. Ms. Teresa will advise you of what need you and for a fee of about $ 100, she will gather, question and compile paperwork so you can on acquire the infamous Z card. These days it resembles more of a passport than a card. I’m a smart girl, but the knowledge that Teresa has far out weighs mine in this arena.
