TL/DR: so so beer selection, Happy Hour tall drafts for $ 1 – 2, depending on type(as usual, better beers cost more), average to slightly above average food, cold fries, excellent tartar sauce, not expensive. We came here from the hotel after a grueling 7 hour drive from Nashville. Since we’re back in Florida, we HAD to have seafood. We both got the fried grouper sandwich. It wasn’t the best I’ve ever had, but it was tasty. The waitress recommended having it blackened and she’s probably right. More flavor that way. One thing I should mention is the tartar sauce. The waitress and I agreed that it was very good — as in not overly-oniony). I asked her if it was made fresh by them and she said it was just from where they get their food, Cisco maybe? My wife got the mixed vegetables & I got the French Fries. She liked the vegetables and they weren’t limp & soggy as can often happen. There were more than just the usual corn, carrot«cubes» and peas. The vegetables included broccoli, green beans and squash. My fries were the kind that are«real» potatoes with the skin left on in some places. You’ve had them at other places, I’m sure. It’s just that they’re probably more expensive for restaurants to buy than the usual kinds. The fries were a bit«rubbery» and were barely warm. They were probably just warmed up from an earlier time. The waitress took them back and brought some right out of the fryer. They were great when dipped in the tartar sauce. It helped that they had one of my Top 10 favorite beers on tap — Goose Island IPA. Not all restaurants/grilles have Happy Hour anymore, but this ain’t one of ‘em. We got 2 tall Honker’s for $ 4.00. That’s half price. You’d only get half a beer for that most places today. All in all I’d go back — because there’s nothing else much in Quincy that isn’t some fast food or chain. Slightly better than average food and relatively reasonably priced.

If you are ever in Quincy, Fl this is the place to eat. While it’s nothing fancy inside the food was spot on. Everything was cooked perfectly and very tasty… I will be back every time I visit this area.

After a self drive-tour of the Historic District of Quincy, lunchtime was upon us. Since it was a Sunday, many of the local restaurants were closed. West End Grill was not only open but the reviews seemed promising. Six of us came in for lunch but after seeing the menu we switched to dinner. Sunday Special was Roast Beef(not as tender as all would like). I had the very best broiled Fresh Gulf shrimp, yum! Others enjoyed the southern fried chicken, yum again! All southern cooking sides were yummy like okra, zip peas, collards, hush puppies, cornbread muffins, & sweet potatoes. No one left room for dessert although the menu was soooo tempting. One wonderful meal with friends, thanks West End Grill.

Great local restaurant(see PS B below). We stopped in after eight hours on the road and very much enjoyed our meals. Five isn’t for great ambiance, great service or great food. Instead, it’s a recognition of the best option, bar none, for miles around. I had the salmon blackened with sweet potatoe and broccoli. Salmon was firm, cooked perfectly and blackened seasonings were perfect. Sweet potatoes was well prepared and the broccoli steamed and fresh. Wife had patty melt and only negative was strong onions but some may like it that way. Quit My Love raved about the fact the rye bread she chose wasn’t buttered thus preserving the integrity of the sandwich making it easy to eat! Server was prompt and attentive without being obtrusive. And fun — great bubbly personality. Second cocktails had flat ginger ale and WITHOUT asking were promptly replaced by server and bartender when they realized tank was flat. PS. We were shocked when our bill came! $ 41! Two entrees plus six cocktails(yes, we’re lushes; does NOT include a charge for the flat cocktails; ok, so we had Four a piece LOL) and barely forty bucks? What a nice surprise. Needless to say, big tip for the server and even a hand delivered tip to the bartender who fixed the flat cocktails for no extra charge.

Go Tuesday for the country fried steak. Two sides, bread, and a dessert for a great price. Sandwiches and other items I’ve had were also good.

Food was ok. Mostly fried offerings to pick from. Prices are slightly above what would be expected. Our waitress was nice but left us hanging in mid service, had to get up and find another person after waiting 10 min for ticket. I would come back again if I had time to spare.

Southern comfort food at its best. Daily special is outstanding, grouper sandwich well above average, burgers excellent. Onion rings are a must. Sweet tea is just right.

An average family restaurant. Food was OK. Service was very good. It is a good everyday place for a small town. We had fried shrimp, fish, steak, etc. with the regular sides. Good prices, decent food, average atmosphere. The owner was circulating about the tables but didn’t take the time to visit our table of 7 who just spent $ 200. I thought he could have been a little more friendly and thanked us for being there.

What a great additioni to Quincy. Whether it is for lunch or dinner, I know I can always get a good meal and a smile at West End Grill. I go there about twice a week and I often order the special as they continue to come up with some great ones. And, you can’t go wrong with the grouper. I LOVE it and I don’t even like fish. Good food, good people, good prices, and consistency… what more could you want? Hum, think I’ll go over there this Friday. All this«talking» has made me hungry!

One of the best breakfasts you will ever get. The eggs are always cooked perfect. The bacon is thick and crispy. The pancakes are to die for especially with fresh strawberries. The service is always prompt. Go try and enjoy!
