Ate here for the first time last month. Had the scallop special, but the food came out luke warm. Still was a nice presentation and the sauce tasty. Like the atmosphere. Will go back again.

This place is consistently great. The food is wonderful and the service has always been top notch. The ice tea is refilled without asking, the food is fresh and served quickly, without being rushed. This is my must eat place in Quincy!

This restaurant is quite authentic, and surprised me in a number of ways. I was in town on business for a few days and decided to stop by since it was well-reviewed and not far from my hotel. The waitstaff is very professional and attentive, and work well as a team. I didn’t spend long wanting for any of their«staples».(Water, beverage offers, bread) The little details surprised me — the house vinaigrette brought a very simple salad to life with excellently balanced seasoning, and the bread was fresh and perfect for the delicious sauces that came with my meal. I ordered the Rolli, a specialty of Tiramisu, and found it to be a pleasant surprise. A hearty, saucy pasta roll, as I’d expected, it still had a great balanced pop of fresh greens to make it feel fresh with as heavy a dish as it was. Overall, I was very pleasantly surprised with this restaurant and would come back if I’m back in town.

This gem is located in a stunningly beautiful historic building. Décor inside is charming with wonderful booths. The service is warm, friendly, kind and attentive. The food? Outstanding. Beer: we tried an Illinois offering, Two Brothers Domaine Dupage French Country Ale. Very nice, even to this dark-beer-lover. Side salad: simple and fresh, with delicious dressing. Perfect. Soprano pizza as an appetizer: this was so tasty. The meatballs are incredible, maybe made with sausage? The Italian sausage on it is tasty too. Sauce, cheese and crust are perfection. Entrees: My boyfriend had the Pasta of the Month, a Spaghetti Scampi. It was tasty though the«roasted» tomatoes were just barely singed. As a tomato hater, I did not enjoy that. I had the Scampi Capa… Something. It has shrimp and scallops, in a light and rich scampi wine sauce. Asparagus and artichoke hearts too… It was delicious! I much preferred it to the bf’s pasta, though that also may be because it had(sigh of love) scallops.

The food was amazing. The service terrible. I would not recommend going on a Friday. Disappointed because the food was so good I could eat here again and again. I would never tell someone to go here just because the service was so bad.

Another great meal at Tiramisu! It was Prom night for the local high school so we arrived late with reservations at 8PM. The service and food was great as I know the staff had to have a tough, long night. You always get a variety of clientele at the restaurant but the service and quality of the food never changes-perfecto !

A great find in Quincy. Surprisingly the area has a bunch of quality restaurants and Tiramisu is one of them. Great pasta and a good selection of wine. I’ve been here twice and both times service was a little slow but food was great and very affordable. It’s a great place for a nice dinner with a little upscale feel.

We are not from the area and happen to stop in Quincy to get gas while on our travels up north. While at the small airport — we decided to check Unilocal to see what was close and recommended. After lucking out at the first restaurant destination we had gone too we came here and oh boy, were we so happy that we did! This place is A-mazing… by far the best Italian food I had ever eaten thus far in my life, hands down!!! And the pizza — WOW!!! loved every single bite of the food — and with the nice pairing of wine that was recommended by our server… freaking we felt like we were in heaven! A very nice establishment and when we came — was a beautiful day and located in a gorgeous building/area with the water view not to far from it. The staff members and owners were very nice — the interior very classy. What amazed us was that it just continued getting busier and busier as it got later in the day — and by the time we were finished with our meal — the place was packed! I can see why this place has such high reviews. I would definitely recommend this place — if you are around town. As for us, we will make sure that when we are flying — that the pilot stops once again in Quincy so that we can do it all over again!

In an otherwise lackluster town of cuisine, Tiramisu is a shining gem. Ambience: Classical old style Italian décor with just the right amount of lighting, space, and decorative features. Service: Roberto, the owner, greets each guest as they walk in and will check back on each table personally. The wait staff is very well trained, knowledgeable of the menu, quick, and most of all friendly. Food: I have tried almost every entrée and every one is fantastic with especially high marks going to the Spaghetti Abruzzo and the Rigatoni Mozzarella. The wine list is fairly comprehensive and reasonably priced. Overall, I can not recommend this restaurant enough. It is phenomenal in every way and also a great value.

I have ordered takeout from here so many times, that I have nothing but wonderful things to say about this place. I have not ever had the chance to sit down here for a meal yet but the restaurant looks so cozy, just like small family restaurants in Italy that I’ve been to. And the food… the food!!! Made with amore! Every single item on their menus is simply superb. My favorite is the fettuccine gambaretti(prawns). You couldn’t go wrong ordering anything here. The staff here is so warm, helpful, and do not hold back from making anyone feel like family, and that is only with my takeaway meals when I pick them up. Imagine what they’re like when anyone sits down to eat in the restaurant.

I don’t know where to begin; the atmosphere, service, and the food were absolutely incredible! We had 6 people in our party, and because it was mine and my wife’s first time there, and I had a special surprise for my the wife, the staff and management did an exceptional job making us feel right at home. My wife and I shared a bottle of wine and a few other drinks, then came the house salad. A delicious house salad with a tasty house dressing, a made the way a house salad is supposed to be, simple and flavorful! For our entrées my wife the Scampi Capesante and I delightfully enjoyed the special of the night, fresh made ravioli with a crab and lobster filling served with a white wine sauce. TODIEFOR! Her platter was absolutely phenomenal with massive flavors of; Artichoke Hearts, Asparagus, Shrimp, Mushrooms, and Scallops. For dessert we shared their classic Tiramisu, and it was beyond exceptional! Only frustrating part is they’re a little over a hour and a half away, but I plan on making several trips back!

I ordered the Rolli based on some reviews below and was very impressed with this meal. I would highly recommend it. I was also impressed with the amount of food that is given with carryout. The Tiramisu was to die for… highly recommend

Very good service and prompt ordering/food delivery. Clean and casual but nice. Paper table coverings which is always a plus with kids for entertainment value(drawing) and cleanliness. Good menu options without it being such a huge menu that you know the food will lack quality. We ordered the fried ravioli app, chicken Caesar salad and pollo portobello. The flavor was definitely a little lackluster across the board but the quality seemed to be there… just need to pump those flavors up! Would probably return for another visit if in the area again. The prices seemed very reasonable(salad might have been a little overpriced).

Had the sausage and peppers appetizer along with a side of spaghetti in olive oil and garlic. Simple but very very good. Sat at bar since i was alone on business. Good wine selection but no tv at bar for us loners. Had to leave earlier than I wanted to since I wanted to watch Blackhawks game.

Better than the«Hill» in St. Louis. Try some mushroom stuffed ravioli with«pink sauce» or Chicken Marsala that you can cut with a spoon.

We loved Tiramisu! My husband had been there several years before with his mom, and always wanted to bring me. So we had a chance this summer.(I am a little late in writing this review!) It was the best Italian food I have had since Italy. Service was excellent. It had a very warm ambience. It was a busy Saturday night, and Roberto did his best to take care of us, moving us to a quieter table on short notice. Quincy is lucky to have this gem, and I can only wish that we had Tiramisu in Columbia, MO!

Always our Go-To place for a nice night out. Thursday was packed, and food was fabulous as always. I tried their past of the month tortellini which was fabulous. My husband was disappointed the steak is no longer on the menu but enjoyed his sausage. The staff is constantly in motion serving which great. A fellow Unilocaler commented on the paper menu, and while I agree it’s a little off-putting to someone new, when you keep coming back you realize it’s so they can change the menu often and keep prices down. And we all appreciate that! Great food, attentive staff, Roberto know his stuff! Quincy is lucky to have this place!

On a business trip and colleagues suggested Tiramisu. I was immediately curious because that is my ultimate favourite dessert! The building above is quite striking. And when you walk in the place is huge. There are cosy nooks for romantic dinners and also big round tables for groups. Ideal for our party of 6. The rather flimsy paper menu made me wonder how the night would go. However the super attentive staff made us feel ultra welcome. For starters the group shared, calamari, ravioli, shrimp, Portobello mushrooms(slightly overgrilled) and the meatballs. Those last ones were a favorite for my colleagues, I thought the calamari was the best. For dinner I chose the daily special, salmon in white wine with capers & broccoli. Portion was huge! It was flavorful however next time I’ll try something else. Rest of the table inhaled their pastas so thumbs up. Stunningly nobody wanted to share a dessert? So I ordered the tiramisu cheesecake to go. I figured the real tiramisu would be too pretty to stuff in a box. Staff was super friendly and helped me out. It was PERFECT. Best part of my meal!

I was not sure what to expect food-wise on our trip to Quincy, IL. My husband and I were out with friends the weekend before we left to come down and I mentioned to our friends that my sister and I were heading down the following weekend. They often visit the area and recommended a great hotel and a fantastic restaurant we HAVE to check out, Tiramisu! Ok, bookmarked it right away on Unilocal! Being from Chicago, I wasn’t sure if I could actually find good Italian food in Quincy, Illinois, but we wanted to take our little brother to a nicer restaurant for dinner and this was one of practically zero options in the area. That, and my friend’s recommendation encouraged us to go here, so off we went! We made a reservation earlier in the day to ensure we had a table for dinner and I’m glad we did that because the place was pretty packed! The location is an interesting one, but then again, all of Quincy is a little different. The exterior of the restaurant is pretty darling. I posted some pics on Unilocal to see. It’s in an older building(as most of the buildings in downtown Quincy are) and the interior is very relaxing. It’s well lit, but the ambiance is comfortable. The restaurant is a bit longer than you realize. We sat near what I thought was the rear of the dining room, but throughout our meal learned there was a whole additional private room in the back where they were hosting, what I could only figure was, a rehearsal dinner or possibly an engagement celebration. The menu is printed on a regular 8.5″ x 11″ white piece of paper which leads me to believe one of three things. 1.) They are regularly making changes to the items or pricing on the menu. 2.) They are trying to keep their costs down and rather than print a permanent menu, they just print off their menu from a inkjet printer. 3.) They only have this menu on the weekends(we were there on a Friday night) and this is their way of doing it. Either way, the menu had some food on it and it was wrinkled up pretty good, so it had been, shall we say, «well-used». But it gets the job done. Our server, Dawn, started us off with a Calamari app and it was very nice. The calamari was fresh from what I could tell and there was a lovely balance of «rings» and«legs»(I don’t know the technical term for either LOL) It was also a glimpse of what was to come as it was served with their marinara sauce which I learned is the only red sauce they make here. There is no meat sauce here, kids! Which brings me to my other disappointment… they only have bread and butter… a little olive oil and parmesan cheese would have been a nice touch! Something to consider. The salad dressing was excellent and reminded me of my Grandfather’s but the salad was overdressed and weighed down the lettuce so it was a little wilted. Less dressing would have made this the perfect salad! The food was well prepared and tasted fantastic. My chicken parmesan was very good, sadly, my pasta on the plate was not drained completely so it left the bottom of the plate filled with water and instead of allowing it to sit too long, I had them bring me a separate plate to put my chicken on so it didn’t get soggy and that did the trick. My brother allowed me to taste his Salsiccia Griglia and it was excellent. A perfect meal my husband would have enjoyed had he been with us(minus the mushrooms) Finally, we shared their TIRAMISU for dessert… I mean how could you not have the tiramisu at Tiramisu?! It was very nice and from what we could tell, there wasn’t any alcohol in it, which we all appreciated. I have a feeling that we’ll be swinging by when we’re down here next time for my sister to grab an order of their tiramisu to-go as a snack! Speaking of to-go, they offer their wine at HALFPRICE to-go! I grabbed a bottle to take home as a souvenir from my special weekend I got to spend with my sister and baby brother who’s about to graduate from Quincy University just up the road! Overall, this place is very nice and they kinda need this establishment in Quincy so the locals have a good place to go for dinner. I give them 4 stars because they deserve it in comparison to their local competition. If they work out the little details, they would easily have received a 5 star review from me because their food is GREAT. Roberto, the owner, is absolutely lovely and really knows good food and service. They definitely earned our business next time we are in the area!

Quincy shocked me with good Italian food! I’m from the suburbs of Chicago and so we have quality, authentic Italian food at our fingertips at all times. In addition, my mom’s side of the family is from Naples, Italy(not Florida), so I’ve been spoiled rotten with good food all my life. When we went to Quincy to visit our brother at Quincy University, I anticipated a bar food dinner followed by lots of bar action followed by even more bar action. But then I remembered that he is maturing a bit and knows that a good meal in his belly before hitting the bar is often a good idea. And so we asked where he wanted to go for dinner. He had some ideas, but we took to Unilocal and found tiramisu. Actually I did that. My sister talked with a buddy who frequents the area and he suggested tiramisu. At that point, it was a go. I called during the day on Friday and made a reservation. I’m glad that I did because as the night wore on they did get busy. Parking was in a large lot directly across the street from the restaurant. When we walked in, I could immediately smell the love in the air! AKA garlic. It smelled wonderful! We were seated about halfway back at a table that seemed to be in everyone’s way. It didn’t matter though, we were glad to be there. Our server has been there for many years with owner, Roberto. I think tiramisu has been there 18+ years, but don’t quote me on that one. She was a little curt when we first arrived, but rapidly warmed up and I wanted to put her in my pocket by the time we left! Roberto knows what he’s doing. He spent years living in the Chicagoland area — I actually knew the neighborhood when he told me the crossroads! He was a gem and a model small business owner. So as good as the food was, I’m still convinced there’s always room for improvement. The bread was yummy! But the buttery spread was not impressive. Some olive oil and cheese would have been preferred. The salad dressing was really well made, but the salad was a little overdressed. The chicken Parmesan was very good! I’m a pain and didn’t want a tomato or an Alfredo sauce, so they made me a garlic wine type sauce for my pasta without blinking an eye. I was very grateful! The calamari was surprisingly good. It was not overly chewy and there were plenty of legs for me to nosh on. Those are my favorite! Our brother tried a sausage and peppers dish. It was a hearty serving with great flavors represented. I love being able to taste a little of everything! Thanks for sharing, Daniel! To wrap things up, we ordered the tiramisu. When in Rome… We shouldn’t have. The diners at our table really need to keep the lactose intake to a minimum, but that didn’t stop us. That tiramisu was one of my favorite representations ever! There was no rum, so I was able to enjoy the different layers without being overwhelmed by that boozy flavor. It was a nice portion for sharing, but had I taken it to go and eaten it in the privacy of my hotel room, it is very possible that I could have eaten the whole thing. Just saying. ;-)
