Small diner with great food, good service and cheap prices. Due to the size, there may be a wait for a table. People are generally well mannered and don’t take up too much time at a table if they don’t need to. There is a lot of variety on the menu as well as the menus around the diner. Only downside is this place is cash-only.

Tiny hometown diner with amazing food and even better service. Id recommend The Irish Breakfast if you want a good hearty meal to get you through the day, and their black and white pudding is the best I’ve had in years.

Awesome little place! Worth getting off main drag by a couple streets! Headed here from Logan on route to Kennedy Library. Will mark this place and come back every time we come up to visit the manchild at DWC. Fantastic service and better food! Miss Sherrie is so genuine and personal! Lovely morning!

Tiny diner with great breakfast food and good service(cash only though). Definitely wanted to try most of the things on the menu but had to settle on just a couple, will have to come back at some point.

This is a wonderful little find! We’re almost never down on that far end of Hancock Street, so after all these years we’ve only just now found this diner. Very glad we did, because it’s been delicious! We came for brunch at about 1:00PM on Saturday, and were able to get two seats together at the counter right away. Something to know is that the place is very tiny — literally an antique dining car with no add-on space. I counted 12 seats at the counter and another 10 in the small booths. You might be able to squeeze 4 into a booth if all persons in your party are skinny, or if some are children. But for dining in pairs or solo, it’s great. On the first day I tried the Belgian waffle. It arrived piping hot, which is rare for Belgian waffles in most places. The butter melted right in and I devoured it. My partner got a variation on an Eggs Benedict and scarfed it all up, very satisfied. We like it so much that we went back the next day for brunch again. I got an utterly delicious Swiss cheese omelette, and they let me substitute french fries for home fries. THAT hasn’t happened since I lived in the Mid-Atlantic(diner epicenter of the universe, and boy do I miss it sometimes). My guy had a corned beef hash omelette that second day. I’ve never heard of that, but he made it gone and was glad to do it. Pssst: there’s parking about a block and a half down Handcock in an upper sub-section of the Hannsford’s parking lot. No one checks it. I didn’t tell you that… Some people on Unilocal have disliked the music, but for us it was 90s alternative oldies, which was just fine by us! Keeping the size in mind, so long as you don’t show up with your party of 8 expecting to sit together, you’re in for a tasty diner meal that will fill you up very nicely.

The best all-day breakfast & lunch diner I’ve found in the Quincy /Boston south area. No baloney, quick, and honest stuff. Great homefries, too.

I love how cute and homesy this place is. Pretend homesy is a word. Only been here once but I can say I’m a fan. As expected, it’s pretty small but I didn’t experience any crazyyy lines. Came in, sat down, ordered myself an eggs benedict, and it was great. No complaints at all. Wasn’t greasy either, like most of the reviews claimed. It’s probably because you can’t really go wrong with eggs. I noticed a lot of their food is Irish inspired, so I thought that was a nice touch. Also, come here for your birthday(along with your ID) for a free breakfast on them!

Walked in a was seated almost immediately even though they were pretty full. They came to the table and took our drink orders after about three minutes. Once we ordered our meals were delivered to the table in twenty minutes, hot and ready to enjoy. Pancakes are awesome, bacon crispy, staff nice and clean dining area. Fun little diner!

Typical diner. A bit on the greasy and salty side, but I think that’s pretty standard at a diner. You have a lot of options! The service is rather lacking — my waitresses always seem to be annoyed regardless of the time of the day. Though I live really close-by, I definitely wouldn’t wait around for a table. The line usually extends out the door since it is a very small diner.

Had a very nice brunch. It looks a small diner on wheels from outside bit has a big kitchen inside. Food was good and quite filling.

Really nothing special. Seems like a popular spot for locals. Food wasn’t bad but not great either. Typical diner food. I came on a hot summer day and there was no AC so I was sweating a lot. Not a good place to come if you can’t stand the heat. Pretty sure my meal was supposed to come with coffee but I never got it; I didn’t realize until after I finished. Service wasn’t very friendly or attentive. Price is cheap though. They have a small parking lot in front of the diner, otherwise it’s street parking.

Went here because of its reviews. The toast was thick and buttery and the egg runny just how I like it! The bacon was crisp which made it worth the calories! The pancake was moist but not as fluffy as I would like. Home fries tasted very fresh! The only thing I didn’t enjoy was the coffee and the service. The place wasn’t all that busy but the service at the counter was super slow. Would give it another shot if I am around the area again…

A great local place to eat. I’m a sucker for diners even tho I have never been a fan of breakfast. I probably been here so many times over the years so I’m just going to sum it all up. Food — I tried almost half of the menu at this point. My go to has always been chicken and rice soup, ham egg and cheese on white toast, and chicken tender meal. It’s been very consistent on how they make these. My girlfriend would usually get an egg and cheese on english muffin with a short stack pancake with strawberries. Sometimes they give her extra strawberries. Service — Always great. From time to time they might be tired and you can see it but overall that never bothered me as long as I get my food and drinks get refilled. If you come on your birthday the breakfast is on them. Can’t go wrong there. Only thing I wish they had are hash browns.

We used to like them until we discovered some LGBT discrimination going on between customers and waitstaff. We saw that the order tickets had smiley faces drawn on them if the waitress’s thought the customer was gay. Being a gay man I felt unwanted as a patron and was concerned about my food. We also saw no other orders had this drawing on them. We will never return because of this calling out ‘so to speak ’

Found this place while looking online. We met some friends in Boston and decided to start the day here. It’s an old tiny dingy diner but the food is excellent. I had eggs with potatoes and kielbasa. It was excellent. I can still taste the kielbasa, it was that good. I would go back.

Pretty good breakfast in an old style diner. Had fried eggs and toast and coffee for under $ 5. This place would make a great setting for a film noir.

This place totally rocks! Open from midnight til 3pm! And their homemade corn beef hash is better than any I’ve ever had. Their omelets are so yummy. Just about any breakfast in their menu is great. Huge portions too. Draw back: Cash only! But, do not deter me from coming here!!! :)

It’s ok. if this is what people consider diner food well, they need to get out some more and experience it. Service, my waitress was nice but the counter server was a miserable Boston Southie hardcore wanna be. Most likely she’s from some nicer softer town and thinks ignoring customers until they say«hello» to her is the way to gain tips. Not! I’m sure it’s homemade corned beef hash. It’s nothing special. It’s no character or flavor. So sorry, wanted to love it. I saw it say«homemade corned beef hash» and to be honest I’ve had better out of a can from Stop and Shop. The eggs, over medium, one out of the two isn’t bad. One was hard. Home fries are the best thing here and the diner coffee was drinkable. I won’t run back anytime soon with a lot of other choices in the area.
