Can’t say how happy me and my cohosts were to have found the View and their A++++ team! Can you imagine 4 girls scrambling to find a venue to hold a 40+ baby shower in 3 weeks? Well the folks at The View did an AMAZING job! The food was well priced, the set-up was done before I even arrived at the restaurant that morning. Lyal, Billy and his team the day of were on top of everything. It couldn’t have been more perfect! And our mommy and daddy to be were so happy! The place itself is very unique. I opted for the outdoor seating. They have something I call their«terrace». It basically overlooks their golfcourse and since we were expecting rain Billy just took down a few see through panels to keep us dry. We also had a section inside and the folks inside had panoramic windows/doors that slide open so they were never left out and they could see us and we could see them. It’s definitely a unique space for sure. After this experience I would recommend to all my friends and fellow Unilocalers to visit the View for future large and small functions.

Checked this place out tonight looking for a low key last minute casual father’s day dinner. Definitely much more casual thank the Quarry hills restaurant referred to by other reviewer. It’s basically like a small sports bar with indoor and outdoor seating. There are flat screens all over the place; tonight they were showing — what else — golf! The after golf crowd was pretty rowdy watching it too. Service was pleasant and cheerful but food was quite slow to come up especially if you have a hungry pre-schooler with you, which we did. Her hot dog/fries/chicken fingers were good, my salad was fine and my husband’s burger looked awesome. Dinner for 3(including two cocktails) in the $ 40s. not bad.

Well I hate to disagree with the only other reviewer, who is much easier on the eyes than myself, but this place does not merit such a glowing report. We went there for the first time 6.3.09, after seeing an ad in the Quincy Sun. There are obvious comparisons to the joint up at Quarry Hills, both being golf course restaurants, and both being perched atop hills. The menu is pretty limited. The décor is sort of VFW. We got the first 3 things on the app menu as dinner: onion strings, crostini, and buffalo fingers. I thought the food a 2.5, which would be a 2 here, the significant other who has different tastes than me thought it «dandy» and a solid 3. I will give it a 3 overall because my draft Bud Lights were fresh and only $ 2.75, and her large vodka and soda was $ 4.00, which isn’t bad either. The draft selection is very small and has nothing funky, not even the pretend funky stuff the big distributors like to masquerade as craft beer. The view is just ok, not panoramic like at Quarry Hills, or at the Elks Lodge at the top of Quarry street. It is all golf course as opposed to gazing into the distance.
