I showed here to eat about 2 weeks ago and the place was closed(yikes please don’t be permanently!). It looked like they were renovating and I hope that’s all because they have some of the best thai food around. Their steamed dumplings with dipping sauce is the absolute best of any asian restaurant in the world(and it’s in Quincy — YEAH!!!). Excellent coffee too. Service is reliable and quick. Easy eat-in and take-out. All around greatness!!!

I once loved Siam House, and I once ate meat. Since being vegetarian, their communication re: meat & fish sauce is not the best, and I’ve left more than once sick to my stomach after a supposedly vegetarian Pad See Ew. Alas. Meat-eaters, enjoy. I’ll head elsewhere these days.

Their customer service was really great. I called earlier in the day saying that I was bringing a party of 12 – 15 and they had the table all set when we came in for our whole party. The service was fast and courteous. I GIVEFOURSTARS for service. Their food was 3.3STARS. It was good but nothing extraoridinary. BUTITWASHEALTHY. Not too flavorful or oily. But the quality of the chicken was not so great. Average quality meat –maybe a little below. Also, did not hear anyone of the 12 guests I invited utter the words«this is so good». Not one person uttered that. So, my guess is that their dishes were somewhat average. But everyone pretty much finished theirs or took their food home. But, it was a great place to bring a group for a little get together. We stayed their for 4 hours. Their drinks were great. The overall experience was a 4. The food level was what makes it a 3. Good place to for party and talking.

Best Thai food… definitely on par with Brown Sugar in Boston. The restaurant is dated and the staff are reserved but respectful. Also takes them time to serve you so plan on it.

If only Siam House had a refresh to their dining room and bar, added a few more servers to the mix and marketed themselves with more innovation, this would be one of Quincy’s hottest restaurants because the FOOD(and that should be all that matters, but it doesn’t always) is delicious! I usually get the Mango Curry which is so good, I could drink it! The appetizers are always too small, which is typical at Thai spots, but the Crab Rangoon(if only you could get bigger so I didn’t have to order 3 orders) is awesome! The staff is always super friendly(in a reserved, shy way) and I always feel good about my experiences here. I don’t mind the décor, but for the yuppie crowd — it would attract more people if it was a bit modern, maybe.

I love this place. Everything I’ve ordered off the menu has been really good, it’s inexpensive, and the restaurant is always quiet and peaceful. My husband and I come here when we want a relaxing meal on the weekend and don’t want to wait for it.

I have been to many Thai restaurants and can say Siam house is by far the best. The padthai is the best I have had anywhere. The green curry is fabulous as well just the right balance of spice and sweet basil. This place is so good it ruins any other Thai restaurant experience. The prices are reasonable but the food is outstanding! I can’t say enough good things about this place.

I got in a little late to try this place, so I will cut the service at bit of slack, since I was the only one there. I was in the mood for spicy, so Thai seemed like a good option. The menu had a good selection, but I had my eyes on a dish they called«Madness». It was a seafood medley with shrimp, scallops, mussels and squid, cooked in a special chili sauce. I ordered it extra spicy, asking the waiter to tell the chef to try and make it too hot for me. I didn’t have to wait long for my food, so I didn’t have to anticipate for too long. The plate came piled high with great looking seafood drowning in chili sauce with onions, bell peppers, and some tasty green chili peppers. I had ordered it with rice noodles instead of rice, which came on the side. I dug in, starting with the mussels to get the shells out of my way. Not surprising, it was not as hot as I would have liked, but tasted great, and was still spicy. I made short work of it, and was quite satisfied. Overall, the food was good, and the service was adequate. From the looks of the other meals I saw, this seems like a decent choice for Thai food. Their non-use of Thai chilies knocked them down a notch, since I feel any Thai place should have it in their kitchen.

I work right near Siam House and I have been to lunch there several times. I’m not real adventurous, but I love their Pad Thai and Pad See You(I think that’s what it’s called). I eat Pad Thai most everytime I go for Thai, so I’ve tried it at a number of places. This has great flavor, not overly fishy and the lunch portion is probably still larger than what we’re «supposed» to eat for a serving. Go to Europe and you’ll be embarrassed by the portion sizes of americans, it’s grotesque!!! There are a number of Asian restaurants in Quincy and I find the Pad Thai is best here!!!

This place use to be really good… recently the food /pad thai has changed for the worse. The pad thai is now very dry and doesn’t taste that great. One time it was actually served to me pretty cold. I’d recommend going into Boston for better Pad Thai/thai food

Not as good as Little Duck but we had some really delicious green curry here. Everything else we tried was kind of bland. I haven’t been back again but I definitely want to give it a second chance since the curry was so delicious. The waitstaff is definitely slow so maybe takeout next time.

Been going here for several years. Good thai food. There isn’t a dish that I haven’t enjoyed. The staff is attentive and I’ve never had a wait to get a table. At lunch, it can take a little bit to get dishes on the table, though. Street parking, 225 bus, or walking from Red line is the way to go as it’s in Quincy Ctr.

This place is great. Got the Green Curry and Pineapple Fried Rice, both were excellent. I went with my wife and two other friends, everyone at the table was more than pleased with their dishes(can’t remember what they were…) I’ll definitely go back for more.

The food was decent. Apparently, they will make the food spicier upon request. We asked for stuff with 10 peppers. Man was that stuff really spicy. Service wasn’t that great. The Waitress forgot to bring my soup so I didnt get to have my soup before the entrees. We all ordered different things and split it all up to taste and rate our food. The Red Curry is good. Drunken Noodles were good. Seafood Madness is good. My coconut soup was good. Tom yum soup was good. There was a few dishes that were not bad but didn’t stand out:(I dont remember the names but I did record a video that night so I’m going to need to edit my post again). Aside from the crappy service from the waitress. I would give this place another shot again if I were craving thai food but I would probably head to little duck in quincy instead.

I’ve eaten here twice thus far and am excited to go back. The food is tasty yet incredibly affordable(making it even tastier)! I find it to be great comfort food – the perfect meal for a chilly day. Both times we’ve left for just $ 15 + tip! So refreshing to find in the Boston area. As a note, the service is less than friendly but certainly efficient. The atmosphere has its own quirks — I believe it used to be a bank or other high traffic business — but we just like to think of it as part of the experience.(This is not a place for people who like to be doted on by servers, but rather a place for someone who loves good, affordable Thai food.) So head to Siam House!

Service Sucked. WaitressES barely looked at us and even when they were heading out way, they would somehow turn around and go back into kitchen though one of us was waving our hands in the air calling them over? Food was good, Mango fried rice and fried ice cream covered with chocolate! Too bad they had two left :(Go if you have lots of time to spare… since you’ll be waiting a while!

Delicious and reliable. They modify the spice level to your needs. I would NOT go out of my way to go here, but if you’re near Quincy it’s a great option :) Yum, yum!

I feel compelled to write a review for this restaurant after reading some of the other reviews… I have lived in the Boston area for many years, in a city full of high end chefs one thing this side of the country lacks is truly excellent local food thats on the cheap and is not only delicious but consistent. I mean after all is said and done that is what makes a dish a ‘comfort food’ its knowing exactly what your going to get every time that feeling that you could very well eat that same dish everyday unitll you die and that would be just fine. Siam House serves some of the best Thai food that I have ever had, be that here in Boston or in Thailand. The food is perfectly seasoned and the service is traditional(no frills), to say that they are serving small portions would be unfair because different people have different appetites, when I have lunch I leave full but not stuffed, I eat all that I am served and don’t feel bad about it later. It would be tragic to let something like portion size deter you from eating here because once you taste the food your never going to worry about it again.
