I read reviews here on Unilocal and decided to try Rizzo’s. The experience was lacking to say the least. I’l start by saying, I’m an easy going person and have found lots of great food in Quincy. This was not the case. Our waitress was a younger girl with a sleeve tattoo, she was kind and courteous and provided us with great service, she was the best part of the experience. Our drinks were kept full and we were checked upon multiple times to ask if everything was alright. My father ordered a tea, she told us they didn’t have real sugar, only Sweet N Low(a little strange, but alright). The pizza was mediocre at best, my fathers was black on the bottom, mine was soggy on bottom and not very well done. The Salad bar looked disastrous, it was unclean and there was no ranch dressing. There were foods that had fallen into other foods. The Buffet looked as if it had not been cleaned. When we went to pay, the order came exactly to $ 20, for two buffet and two drinks(we didn’t pay taxes?) we were not offered a receipt and the man who we paid the cook was a little strange acting. Overall, the service was great, the food was poor and the establishment seemed overall a little dirty. Unfortunately, I couldn’t recommend this restaurant to anyone. You would experience far better food/cleanliness at Talyana’s or Gem City Pizza. UPDATE: After leaving the review, I received a message on Unilocal from«David R». The person was rude and insulting, saying that only«losers» leave reviews. After further research, I find the owner of Rizzo’s is none other than. well you guessed it, David Rizzo. Not only is the pizza not great, the establishment is dirty and the owner is rude. Sorry, I still cannot recommend Rizzo’s Pizza.

Spending a night in Quincy, IL and craving pizza. Stumbled into Rizzo’s, as it was rather close to my hotel. I am a fairly finicky pizza person. One thing I prefer with pizza is a real, hand-tossed crust. Rizzo’s does have a real hand-tossed crust — I had the thin. Very satisfied. Toppings were good, and were not skimpy. If I had any complaint, it would be that I prefer my pizzas a little more on the crispy side — I like the cheese to be a little browish, but that’s just my preference. The service was excellent and fast(though it was a snowy Tuesday night; I guess a Friday would be a better test). All in all, a good experience. I would return to and recommend Rizzo’s.

In a city that is inundated with pizza restaurants, Rizzos not only rises the the occasion but supersedes the average pizza. The dough is made in house and the effort shows. Great pizza, a little on the pricier side, but well worth a few extra dollars. I haven’t tried a pizza or crust style here that I didn’t like; you won’t be disappointed!

Nice authentic pizzeria in central Illinois, lucky Quincy. Nice atmosphere, clean, kind & attentive wait staff. Owner greeted tables & made sure details where taken care of. Stuffed crust was very good with fresh ingredients & perfect crust. Tables & booths, booths all have small flat screen TV’s on the walls which helps keep children entertained & gives parents a chance for a nice meal. TV’s would also be good for Sunday football with pizza & beer. Nice menu with reasonable family friendly prices, quite nice location. I’ll be going back.

First time tonight. Not much atmosphere. Waiter was a little stressed. Ordered the Bosco Sticks. Very good. Ordered a deep dish pizza. One of the best deep dish pizzas I’ve had in Quincy. Do not like the way they do their tickets. Have to go to front register, give your table number and they just tell you how much you owe. You do not get to see the ticket. I would go back to try some of the other pizzas.

Definitely worth checking out. The thin crust pizza was tasty but not as spicy as I would like. The garlic cheese bread was very good.

My wife, daughter and I visited this new pizza restaurant last night. It is the third time I have been here. We all were impressed by the quality of the meal and service, both were top notch. Even the owner/chef went from table to table asking how our meal was and if there was anything he could get us. If you are looking for pizza to eat… this is the place! You won’t be disappointed.

Great pizza has come to Quincy, IL! We ordered a pan(Hawaiian) pizza and a stuffed(vegetable) pizza. Both were excellent. Not too cheesy, oily, or doughy. Both had the right amount of sauce and cheese. Some places try to hide the lack of flavor with lots and lots of cheese, not this place! The pizza is great here! The dough was not dried out, and well-made … the way pizza dough should be. The sauce was good as well. It had a good flavor and complemented the pizza’s flavors. It’s a little more pricey than the chain joints, but well worth it, in my opinion. The pizza is more substantial(stuffed and pan, anyway) and flavorful! If you want a quality pizza in Quincy, IL, I would highly recommend Rizzo’s Pizza!

We went there on Thursday nite… most of the people there were eating the pizza but my husband and I had the meat ball and I the beef sandwich… They were toasted with cheese and sauce. Very good and 6 inches long… Today is Saturday and we will order 2 pizzas to go after church… I would recommend this place for its friendly hosts and staff… defintely a place to go to and enjoy the food… new residents of Quincy Rose and Ken Ghidara
