National Wine & Liquors

This is a small liquor store attached to the Roche Brother’s grocery store. As compared to quite a few options to chose from in the area, this place strictly benefits from the fact that it is attached to the grocery store. Other than that, it is strictly OK for your beer /​wine /​hard alcohol requirements.
— Not a plethora of options to choose from when it comes to wines. I was looking for a very easy to find dessert wine which is quite popular. Couldn’t find it here. The store keeper was nice to make note of it and said he would try to get them next week.
— beer selection is OK too. Given the place is not quite big, do not expect to find huge cases of craft beer.
— Not a great selection /​options for Vodka either.
— Prices are slightly higher than some of the other places in the area

I don’t shop at walmart a lot nor at Roche Brothers. But I have seen that when I am in the area and need something from either of these places, I end up making use of this store.

national must have 20 or 30 different kinds of whatever your poison is. the whiskey family is large and, fortunately, this place has added aunts and cousins i have yet to meet, but will be hanging out with soon. 1.75 liter bottles of gosling black seal & sixers of ginger beer? yes, please. national also stocks the gosling family reserve which i have not seen anywhere else.
the beer selection is equally large. yes, they have the usual suspects and all 82 kinds of michelob (O.o), but the belgians, brits, scots and craft brews are all over the place. you’d be hard pressed not to find something you can drink here. i picked up some of the sam imperial series which i haven’t seen too many places.
i’ve only taken a brief spin through their wine selection, but that took me about 20 minutes. racks and racks and racks and racks. very well organized and marked with selections at pretty much all price points.
definitely my new liquor store.
located on falls boulevard near the wal-​mart, this isn’t exactly in the most convenient location. it’s a hike from quincy center but the bus runs just at the bottom of falls blvd. i’d say take a car. ample parking.

Need help picking out your favorite alcoholic beverage? Here’s the place. They offer free wine tastings on the weekends. They always have a clearance bin (good steals). Alchohol is priced well here and it’s conveniently attached to Roche Bros. Go shopping for your food and get your liquors for your party.
They have a huge walk-​in cooler, if you want to buy by the case. Excellent wine, liquor, beer, etc. collection. All staff is very friendly.
Easily accessable by a private parking lot. Easy parking. You can also walk here from the 225 bus (Shaw Street) from the bottom of the hill.
