Great food, service and atmosphere but both restroom sinks prevent you from using the hot water to wash your hands, the water only comes on when the handle is turned to cold… BRRRWAY too cold today

Great place to grab a bite to eat in Quincy. The roof deck is an awesome time in the summer!

I would give server 5 stars. Thank you for your wonderful service! Swordfish tasted moist, but had fishy smell. Should of returned. Obviously, not fresh. Scalloped potatoes side… hard and tasteless. If this was not a celebration meal, I would of sent all of my dinner back.

Excellent meal at Alba last night. Our waitress was phenomenal. She was extremely knowledgeable about wine and didn’t need to write down any of our 6-person order. The charcuterie board and meze appetizers were great. My steak au poivre was cooked perfectly. Highly recommend Alba.

Alba it’s my best place to go out n south shore. The food it’s great and the atmosphere it’s very vivid. The downstairs lounge it’s very relaxing to have a drink or eat. In summer they open the upstairs deck which it’s great. Also the staff are very good and the service it’s excellent.

Had dinner here Saturday December 19th around 7pm. When we first went in, we were told by one of the host«a brunette» that it’ll be a 45 min wait. We can seat ourselves at the bar to eat. We said we’ll wait, we were the only ones waiting. There was three of us. Two minutes later when more guest started coming in, all of sudden they can seat us now. We walk in to dining room and there’s plenty of empty tables, like at least 10 empty tables. We’ve eating here a number of times and spent tons of money here but this experience was really disappointing. Really hope it’s not cause we’re asian. When we were leaving the same hostess just watched us walk pass here to leave without a thank you and bye. Food is still good there but the hostess has to go.

Was back for Thanksgiving 2015. Had a 5:30 reservation and even though our party was 15 minutes early, we were still seated. Thought the crowd was smaller than last year, but with a later reservation, that may have been the reason.

Finally made it ! Heard so much positive feedback I was looking forward to our night, had a big party in the back private room, service was so slow, drinks ran dry more than once before waitress showed up, she was friendly but a bit slow, food was good when it showed up, sadly our steaks were half eaten before our sides arrived to the table, but I can’t argue, the food was delicious & hot, would like to not have to ask for waters to be refilled three, four times. I am assuming our waitress was new so for that reason I’m giving alba the benefit of the doubt,

My wife and I attended a Veterans Day celebration at the Alba Restaurant and thoroughly enjoyed the luncheon meal we were served. The food and service was outstanding. The first«Meza» course consisted of a serving of prosuito ham, feta cheese, tomatoes, hummas, and sausage wedges with a tangy flavored sour cream sauce. Next was a serving of an «Albanian style» bean soup which was out of this world. For the entre, my wife had a perfectly cooked/moist pan seared codfish, complimented with a sautéed fresh vegetable medley, and creamy mashed potatoes. I had a perfectly seasoned, and moist roasted chicken with the same vegetable/potato combination. For dessert we were served an assortment of yummy petite pettifores, and coffee. The wait staff was very attentive, yet unintrusive throughout the entire meal. In chatting with a number of other attendees after our dinner, they also commented on how much they enjoyed their meals. I’ve attended many luncheons, wedding receptions, retirement parties, etc. over the years. We all know how dissapointing most of the meals at these functions turn out. In our case, I would rate the Alba Restaurant as an exception to the rule, and place them right up at the top of my list of exceptional luncheon dining experiences. Check it out, and I’m sure you too will be pleasantly surprised by the wonderful food and service you will receive there.

I live in NYC, where great food is everywhere. But when I come home to the South Shore, I always make sure to make it to one place: here. The food is delicious and the service is always consistent. The ambiance is great.

What can I say, any restaurant where the owner is always here is going to be great. The owner Leois always running around, pouring the occasional beer, cleaning plates off he table and making sure everything is just perfect. Mike the bartender is fantastic and always on top of things with an extensive knowledge of the wines and spirits. The food is fantastic! $ 1 oysters on Tuesdays are delicious from Maine! King crab legs are greAt chilled or chilled. Dry aged delmonico is the go to steak. She had the burger tonight at the bar and loved it, I had the Bolognese pasta which was delicious and very hearty and filling! This is definitely one of the best restaurants in Quincy. You get what you pay for!!! Great service and great food!

When it comes to steak these guys know what they are doing. The dry aged 16oz strip we had tonight was out of this world, cooked to absolute perfection served with mash potato and asparagus with a swirl of hollandaise. The beautiful char crust on the steak was just right and once cut into revealed a beautifully marbled piece of tender strip, it literally left me wanting more if only my stomach could have held it but 16 oz is my limit! Service was first class and the dining room is impeccably clean and well appointed, a very fine dining experience.

Love alba’s! Had my first date with my fiancé here and got engaged here! My last dinning experience we got an excellent steak tar tar like dish, amazing! Tuna tar tar is my favorite though! This is the place to go for a great steak when wanting Mortons like quality but without the high prices !! Have been here for a small wedding and a rehearsal dinner, great place to have an event. Check out the roof top deck, nice spot in Quincy!

I’ve been to Alba too many times to count. The food and drinks are delicious and the service is great. It’s more expensive than most restaurants in Quincy Center, but it’s totally worth it. The waitstaff is always attentive and friendly and the owner often stops by to make sure we’re enjoying our time there. Whenever we want to celebrate an occasion and stay close to home, this is our spot. The roof top is one of my favorite places in the summer. I also attended a shower in their function room upstairs and the brunch they provided was just as good as their dinners. Highly recommend!

Nice place in Quincy. Nice atmosphere, and valet parking too. We had the fried calamari and a meat-skewer app. Both were really good. I had the swordfish entrée, which I thought was good but not great. Previously I’ve had the pork osso buco which was really good, I’ll get that next time.

This place is absolutely amazing. The fact that I live so close to here, I regretted that this was my first time coming here. My friend and I came here on a Sunday evening. It was not at all busy. When looking at the building from outside, it was not very pleasing. However, once you step in it was so beautiful. We were quickly seated by a staff member. The restaurant is divided up. There was a formal dinning, casual-bar, and a roof top deck setting. We sat at the casual. Our server, Leonard was really nice. He helped up order our food and explained what was what. We ended up ordering three apps –Ahi Tuna and Avocado Tartar($ 14), Beef Tenderloin Carpaccio & Tartar«duo”($ 14), and Crab Cake($ 16) to share. The Tuna was absolutely the best I ever had! I love it! The Beef was good as well. I enjoyed every bite of it. As for the Crab Cake, I think it was just my taste, I was not as fan of it, but my friend loves it! At the end, we shared a dessert of Crème Brulee. Now, I’m not really a sweet tooth person, but OHMYGOODNESS! ITWASHEAVENLY!!! To close up the night, Leonard stood by us and told us a little history about Alba! That was really nice of him. I will come back when I’m super hungry!!! Totally worth it!

Hands down, the best restaurant in Quincy and possibly on the South Shore. The food is always cooked perfectly and the service is stellar. The owner can often be seen walking through both dining rooms personally checking on each table. I have been going here for over 6 years and have never been disappointed.

My boyfriend and I chose this restaurant based on the reviews and we were greatly pleased with our choice. We came by on Saturday just before 6pm and without a reservation but the hostess quickly seated us. The bread and butter came first, then we decided to try the clam chowder and the crispy calamari for appetizers. I wish the menu mentioned that the calamari was going to be a big plate, because we only finished half of it from fear that we won’t be able to enjoy our entrees. Otherwise the chowder was on point, and the calamari was lightly fried to perfection. For entrees, I ordered the salmon with crusted crab cake and the boyfriend went with the 16 oz. sirloin steak. My salmon was done just right but the square polenta was bland. The crab cake was more of a medallion than a cake, being the size of a casino chip. The steak was great and it retained all of the natural cooking juices, making it extremely tasty. Least to say, we forgone the dessert from how full we were but if I could do it again, I wouldn’t have minded sharing one dessert. Ambiance wise, the first floor dining room was romantic with a touch of vintage, and the bar at the entrance reminded me of a hotel lobby from the Golden Age. I really enjoyed the overall appearance of the restaurant, especially with the walls of wines and the display of their aged steaks. Although I didn’t catch the name of our waiter for the night, he was quite attentive and even humorous. I highly recommend this place as a date location even though the price is on the higher end because it was a 90 $ well spent! I will be back for more! Alba is definitely one of my favorite local spots in Quincy. Besides having the nicest rooftop bar within a 5 mile radius, they also serve pretty great appetizers and the service is consistent. Here’s some from my must try list. Guaranteed to satisfy your taste buds: Raw Bar and Tuna tartar — Always fresh and delicious Caesar salad — It comes with these white anchovies that just makes this delectable and not your usual Caesar. Fries — If you ask them nicely, they can usually serve it as truffle fries as opposed to the regular variation off their menu Salmon with crab entrée — Fairly new to their menu. Cooked to perfection and very tasty. Other bonuses: they have the $ 25 for 3 courses deal Mondays-Wednesday, an awesome wine list and free valet parking. I will be back!
