Many fast food places are bad at this but this McD’s seems to be the worst. It is constantly pumping out food orders to drive thru clients while ignoring dine-in clients. I will often see 5 or 6 drive thru customers be served before a single eat-in order is filled. It’s ridiculous.

I tend not to write reviews of big chain restaurants, however today’s visit warranted a response. My little brother is an incredibly picky eater, and only really eats french fries when we go out anywhere, so needless to say, the family are no strangers to McDonald’s. We stopped at this particular location on a road trip, using the Unilocal mobile application to find it. We walked in to an enormous line at the counter and an even longer one at the drive through, which seemed a bit odd, since it was an off-peak time. We soon realized the problem… I’m not sure if the place was understaffed or if they were improperly trained, but every single order that came out to the folks already in line was given back because it was wrong. The woman in front of us looked as if she was about to explode — she had waited 20 minutes for a cappuccino. We only ordered 3 large fries, and even we waited a good 15 minutes after our order was taken. For a sit down restaurant, an acceptable time, for a McDonald’s to literally scoop out three servings of the vast vat of fries that were sitting in the trough, a bit ridiculous. When we received our fries, they tasted… off…as if the oil had gone rancid. To top the whole thing off, the bathrooms were filthy. They looked as though they hadn’t been checked in at least a few hours. Maybe we caught them on an off day, but their rancid oil and lack of apology for their poor service was enough to make me feel as though I should warn people. My recommendation… drive the extra 20 minutes down the highway to get to a friendlier place.

I wrote a bad review of the BK off of exit 15 so I wanted to share a completely opposite review of this McDonald’s off of exit 18. Literally every time we drive-thru this McDonald’s we are treated to an accurate fresh order. While I don’t like to make fast-food a habit, we definitely enjoy the fast, fresh & professional service we receive at the exit 18 McDonald’s in Queensbury, NY. (Note that this McDonald’s is directly off of exit 18. The map here is not showing it’s correct location.)
