ok– this was the worst– first — every table was dirty– had food on it, not bused– all the staff just looking at the deity tables and did nothing! in addition to that, the food was awful! why people talk about this place is beyond me– never again!

Tried the Shake Shack inside JFK airport. Service was fast and friendly. The surrounding area was clean. One of the greeters recommended one of the burgers which I got for my husband, I got the normal one with pickles and the black and white shake. Shake Shake is compared to our In and Out. The burger in my opinion is not as good. Can’t really point out why. Maybe if I got the double patty, it would have been better. The thick wavy fries were delicious. I got it with the cheese on the side. I normally don’t like thick cut fries but these were crunchy and delicious. I prefer the shake at Shake Shack though In and Out’s strawberry is comparable. The black and white shake is what pushed it over compared to In and Out. I love me some In and Out but will definitely get Shake Shack wherever it’s available in the West!

I’ve heard about Shake Shack before but had never been. While stuck at JFK on an extended delay we decided to travel to another terminal and give Shake Shack a try. The menu was what we expected, with a good variety of burgers hot dogs french fries and other wise I fast food type of items. Of course there were also milkshakes. The prices were reasonable, maybe a little above average. We ordered a bunch of different things and I was impressed with the quality of the food. The portions were good sized, the food was hot and seemingly fresh, and it all tasted very, very good. Oh yeah, did I say they also serve milkshakes :-) The only drawback, and reason this did not get 5 stars, was because of the staff and the customer service. The employees did not seem happy to be there, which is okay I guess, but they also didn’t seem happy that the customers were there, and treated everybody with extreme apathy. If you are in JFK and are looking for something good to eat I highly recommend Shake Shack.

Surprisingly good for being airport food. I generally have low standards in my mind, but I thought I’d check it out. I simply cannot pass by a sign that says both ‘shakes’ and ‘hotdogs’ without stopping. Plus, the line was long so I thought that helped their case. I ordered a healthier chicken dog with not-so-healthy cheese fries and a vanilla shake. I can’t really remember how the chicken dog tasted, I was so ravenous that it was gone in a couple of seconds. The vanilla shake was mehhh. I’m use to really good milkshakes back home and this just didn’t do the trick for me. I highly doubt the milkshakes were being made the right way or else it would have taken a lot longer to get it. As for the cheese fries, I think they were a pretty good option. The fries are nothing special, but when dipped in cheese, creates a glorious satisfaction of taste. If you didn’t think you needed cheese fries, but your airport mental health is suffering, go get cheese fries and you’ll feel better. Not much else to say, your standard fare. I didn’t have a problem with the service. When busy, they give you a buzzer. I saw someone else’s order get shuffled around, but I think they are on top of it for the most part.

Always thinking about shake shack and do not want to waste time waiting in line, so shake shack at terminal 4 in JFK was actually a perfect choice for me. There was already a short line around 830 in the morning, but at least it was much better compared with the line in Manhattan. Got the shroom burger. It was juicy, delicious and with comparable quality with elsewhere. And it was fast. Would love to return.

The lightest high calorie breakfast you’ll ever have. I was with my sister around 6:30am and she decided to get shake shack as if there weren’t any other breakfast spots. I pointed some out later. But hey, she paid so I couldn’t refuse a free meal! I got the Coffee can’t shake which was small(tall size from Starbucks), pricey(a little over $ 6) and 650 calories. This was sooo good; it’s basically melted coffee ice cream. I was surprised it wasn’t the sweet, fake coffee flavor. I also had the egg n cheese sandwich which was 300 calories for 1 egg, I had two eggs. I basically killed 1k calories for breakfast and it wasn’t filling, hence, the word light. The eggs were fried, with a thick yolk center that wasn’t dry. The bun was soft and warm, the cheese was melted and I felt like I was eating an expensive breakfast burger from McDonalds. Overall, pricey, small and a heck lot of calories. It doesn’t help that I’m a muncher/napper on the plane.

I love this chain, although clearly behind In-N-Out burgers. Their burgers are reasonably priced and pretty good. I got the double hamburger with fries. It was prepared in about 5 minutes. I did wish there were more fries but don’t we all. The burger was decently me satisfying. Fries were pretty good. It ended up being about $ 10 after tax, which is not bad for the airport. This is a to-go place but there is plenty of seating adjacent to this location.

As Chipotle struggles with an e. Coli outbreak that caused 34 store closures, the big news today in the financial markets was how Shake Shack was beating revenue estimates and acting more like a tech stock. Say what? It’s a burger for Pete’s sake. I remember my first one back in 2007 at their original location in Madison Square Park where the queue was outrageous. But it was worth it despite its small size because the quality of the beef was so good due to Danny Meyer’s imprint. It has since exploded into an international chain though sadly not California at least as of this date. When I was on my way home from a quickie weekend in New York, I found myself in Delta’s Terminal 4 at JFK. Lo and behold, there was a Shake Shack right off the central hub area, and sure enough, there was a constant line in motion. Still, I had an hour to kill, so I decided to grab a $ 5.19 Single ShackBurger with a slice of melted American cheese, lettuce, tomato and the ShackSauce(photo: ). It was good, but my memories of that first bite back in the park were not evoked in a way that made me feel like I was eating anything special. What’s more, the $ 2.95 Krinkle Fries were a bit burnt, which I could only resolve with a splooge of their ShackSauce(photo: ), and the $ 2.50 Diet Coke seemed small even by airport standards(photo: ). Ah well, it was still Shake Shack and probably better than most fast food patties out there. Maybe I should buy some shares. FOOD — 3 stars… not quite the ShackBurger I remember in the park but it hit the spot AMBIANCE — 2.5 stars… well, it’s the 5th busiest airport in the country, you figure it out SERVICE — 3 stars… certainly fast enough TOTAL — 3 stars… time to go back to the park

Shake Shack is just ok, nothing wrong with it nothing good with it. However, I’m liking this place because of the breakfast option that’s available here-don’t feel like making a trip on purpose to Grand Central for a bacon egg and cheese. A place that serves both a breakfast and lunch menu and still have a cheerful and helpful service behind the counter early in the morning is going to make me rethink my opinion of Shake Shack and it’s average-ness. Also, Arnold Palmer’s errywhere.
