Since I live in Forest Hills, I used to have to drive all the way to Glen Oaks to get Ralph’s, not anymore!(and thank the heavens for that) Ralph’s crème ices are the bomb and there is never a shortage of flavors ! Favorites include — Cookies & Crème(crème ice), Snickers(boyfriends fav) and Peanutbutter cookie dough(everyones fav) This is why we always look forward to summer! Ralph’s returns with late summer hours.

Let’s just say I’d drive many miles to any other Ralphs Ices than have this nasty old man and his just as nasty daughter serve me.

I love this place. All the flavors I’ve tried have been great. I especially like when fall comes they have pumpkin pie. It’s amazing!

Hands down the best freshly made ices ever. Beats lemon ice king of corona. They have adorable sample spoons just in case you don’t know what to get & the staff is very friendly. Loved their coffee ice due to the fact that I’m a coffee addict.

This is an Italian ice stand not a five star restaurant. Yes the people there could be nicer but what do you really expect? They should know if there is dairy in the ice though.

Let me begin by saying I will never return to this place. I was driving down metropolitan ave and since it is 90 degrees outside it seemed like a good idea to grab some ices. Since I have never been here I asked to taste the peanut butter flavor since that is what I usually get at lemon I asked to taste the pineapple as well because I was buying 2 ices, well the girl informed me that I’m not allowed to taste a 2 nd flavor which I found to be insulting. Then she pointed to a miserable old man and said that’s his rules. The girl looked like she was afraid of the man and he looked miserable to say the least . I will never go back not will anyone in my family. Please spread the word this rude miserable old man with his«rules» that insult clients should not make a dime. I noticed they moved from a larger to a smaller spot from few years ago. I hope they close down and the old man goes bankrupt. Ughhh Get out of the neighborhood ! Rude ! Miserable! Nasty ! And i did buy the ice just because I felt like because I tasted it it would be rude to walk away not buying anything. I should just walked away as this was the worse peanut butter I have ever had . Zero stars

I’m really feeling indifferent about this place. I’m all about supporting the Mom ‘n’ Pop shops, but please, please, please don’t be rude. I asked if the product(ices’) have any dairy products, because I had a child(not mine) with me that is allergic. The woman said no, so I purchased a Strawberry and handed it to the child, I also asked about the Canolli Cheesecake, I said: «Wait, how do you get the flavor for that do there is no dairy in it?» Before I could even allow her to respond, I literally smacked the cup out of his hand and knocked it to the floor, a man came out and said it was ice cream, why did I throw it on the floor? I told him that the child has an allergy to dairy, so no milk, ice cream, etc. He said she should have said something, and that was that. I paid for my ice/ice creams and left. Including the one I knocked out of the kids’ hands. oh a well… The y tasted good, but I wonder if it’s just better to eat simply ice or ice cream alone. Not a combo of the two.

Great place to get your ices or ice creams. Very delicious, my daughter and my nephews love it there. They even have kiddy size. I love the taste and they have so many flavors. Come and try them.

GREAT place, the owner is so nice and hires great girls to work. Everyone complains about no seating… but Carvel doesn’t let you sit inside either sooooo

i freaking love ralph’s crème ices, but the only reason why i give it 3 stars is b/c the grandpa who works there is so freaking nasty and mean. I cant stand him. Anyways, definitely get the rainbow cookie crème ice, canoli, gummybear, and when in season, pancake maple syrup.

okay so I have always seen this place but never stopped and visited UNTIL… My sis came around ranting and raving about there Jelly ring flavor, which has small pieces of jelly rings in it… as my mother has taught us well to be jelly ring junkies… I HAD to try it! ****YUMMM!!!**** Jelly ring is now my favorite flavor! Altho they have probably over 30 flavors to choose from… piña colada to mud slide and dulce de leche to strawberry cheese cake. Prices are super reasonable, they have about 4 different sizes to choose from. Customer service is great, counter girls are always friendly. This is a great summer treat, very refreshing! They have creamy ices and Italian ices, think they also have smoothies. I always get the creamy ices. I’ve taken my family here and try a few different flavors, all of them are really good! they loose a star because you cant go inside, they have an order window. There is room for tables inside so not sure why they don’t use it? they close for the winter to make sure you go a lot during the summer!

this place is pretty cool! We go often during the summer, great treat for a hot day. They must have over 30 different flavors of ices here. They have water ices and cream ices, we always go for the creamy ices. Very creative flavors like canoli, cheesecake, piña colada, mudslide, vanilla peanut butter cup and strawberry shortcake. I would like to tell you my favorite, but I cant decide, every flavor I try, I like. Customer service is great, young girls at the counter, working pretty fast to get the crowd cleared. Reasonable prices, think they have 4 different sizes. This place looses a star because you cant go inside. They have an order window which I don’t really understand because the place is pretty big inside. They do have a few chairs on the sidewalk, which is helpful when they aren’t taken, but would much rather sit inside.

I don’t know anything about the grumpy owner or whatever. It is true though how I can’t figure out why this place only serves patrons through a window when there are seats inside. But the cream ices and water ices are so good along with the sugar free ones too. The girls who take your order are so friendly and pleasant to deal with. This is the place to go for me when I want an ice in the warm weather. It’s much closer then Corona Ice King and it tastes just as good.

Love this place. So many flavors to choose from. If anybody knows me they know nothing else matters in the summer for me cuz they’re so refreshing and delicious. Beware that they don’t always have all flavors and the guy there can be kinda rude. This is really a 4.5 but I rounded up cuz… Iceys: P And I don’t wanna go sit inside so I don’t mind that we can’t anymore lol

So get this, the old man who runs this place(who hasn’t smiled since 1973) won’t let anyone inside. He has a huge indoor seating area but he won’t let you inside. He complains how he wants to retire and often looks like he wants to punch you in the face. The ice cream is hersheys brand so whatever. Meh. ADDITIONALNOTE: my boy asked why then did i give it 2 stars? Because Hershey’s ice cream is consistently decent. But so is the $ 1 choco taco at the bodega.

Don’t know why it has all the bad reviews i’ve never had a problem with this location I have been going since it opened. Some of my favorites are Lemon, Coconut, Peanut butter and Mint Chocolate chip.

I don’t understand why the inside of this store was closed after about the first 2 months of operation leading to an unnecessary line on the sidewalk. I don’t really care for their ices either. Ralph’s ices are somewhere between Italian ices and ice cream. If I want ice cream, I want it to taste decadent and be worth every fat laden calorie! Ralph’s cream ices are just as bad for you, but with a watered down consistency that is kind of disappointing. There is always a line though, so maybe if you enjoy this sort of thing, Ralph’s is a good choice. I admit, I also feel guilty about patronizing Ralph’s in a neighborhood that used to be full of mom and pop stores and is slowly being invaded by Arby’s, Subway, CVS, etc.

The place is soooo dirty. I have found gray hair a fly and many other things. My friends cousin works their and when we went their she said wait a second let me see which ices are clean when she ruled off half the choices I couldnt take it and left. Also the fact tht they make u stand out in the heat while their is a perfectly cool area inside. The old man who works their is very cranky all the time. It seems like he blames u for having to get up

Does not compare to the old Graham Ave. Brooklyn location. The ices we had were empty of any cake/cookies that are supposed to be in them. Very disappointing, considering they used to be so good. I will try them one more time, and if I experience the same disappointing waste of money, I am done with Ralph’s for good. Went back a couple times and the ices seemed a bit better than my first visit. Still miss the Graham Ave. location!
