Okay, I am on a string of 5-stars the past few days, but all well deserved. Let me begin with I have only bought jeans and nothing else from Left Field, but they are the best freaking raw selvedge denim going. Have bought jeans in stores, the internet, yard sells, and so on. You get the point. But without a doubt the Cone Mills 13 oz. Greaser jeans beats them all. They are sized realistically(they don’t make you feel good by adding an extra ½″ to 1″ to stroke your vanity). Nope, you order 33″ waist, you are going to get a 33″ waist. So, when ordering, pay extra attention to their sizing guide. They remind me of the classic denim jean, but with more style. You can wear these to the rodeo or on Rodeo Drive and feel equally comfortable. They are not skinny jeans, but not Dad jeans either. They fit just right; guess you could call them Goldilocks jeans. The customer service is superior. I paid an extra $ 10 to get the inseam I wanted. However, they emailed and let me know the jeans were actually running about ½″ longer than I wanted if that was okay. If not, they would give me the inseam I wanted. Great; I actually preferred the longer inseam. So, within minutes they refunded the $ 10. Now, we can all agree that $ 10 is little money, but that is the point. They focus on the details and wanted to give me what I wanted in the jeans and if possible, save me a buck or ten. Now, where I come from, that is first class. So, as those movie critic guys used to say, «Two thumbs up to Left Field.»

My first visit out to Left Field in Ridgewood(10 stops on the L from Union Sq.) was a bit disorienting, however, upon my second, third, and fourth visit to the neighborhood, found it to be an exciting and stimulating adventure, and quite welcoming. Once there, in what passes for a store, but feels more like the atelier of an iconoclastic, creative entrepreneur, one is surounded by an inviting selection of the highest quality denim and accessories to be found anywhere. The construction, design, and fit of the their jeans is impeccable. In either the Chelsea or Greaser style, whether Cone Mills or Japan denim, the comfort level is second to none. The only negative consequence of buying your first pair is that it will most likely result in multiple purchases boardering on addiction. And I might also add, the prices are extremely fair.
