I come here almost every day for lunch sometimes breakfast! I work right down the block! Food is great! Services is better! Sit down or take out, deliver whatever it is you get the same great experience! Prices are definitely reasonable and their everyday specials always have something good to choose from with soup or a soda! It really is like a family environment. At the counter or if your seated everyone treats like uve been coming forever!

This was a pleasant surprise that I stumbled upon early Saturday morning after arriving from Virginia on Greyhound.
The place was clean and presentable. The staff was polite and hospitable. The food and coffee was fair; hence the four stars.
The waitress let me know of my options with certain breakfast items. The breakfast came complete with a glass of water, small glass of Orange juice with the coffee I ordered.
The bathroom was unisex, so toilet and urinal were side by side (didn’t bother me). Sink and soap dispenser were motion sensored and universally accessible.
Handicap accesible with outside ramp.
Reasonably priced. Will return.

Their homemade corn muffins are delicious! They do a really great job!

Just want to update and say I’ve been here many times since and the food is excellent and the establishment is VERY clean. The staff is also very friendly. Its a cute old fashioned neighborhood diner.

I go to Alpha Donuts for a solid diner breakfast and that is what I get every time. The service is great, all the breakfast food is really good (bacon always crispy, potatoes are A+, feta and spinach omelette is deliciousness). The cook behind the counter is amazing! So efficient and friendly. I’m very happy not to be joining this lot of whiney complainers. Every time I’ve been the customers have been really nice and everyone seems to be enjoying the food and chill atmosphere.

I really wonder how this place stayed in business for so long. Never once have I gotten an order done correctly. There’s always something missing, not cooked fully, cold, etc.
The food is disgusting. Unfortunately this is the only place i can really go to over here.

Update: Owner called me and said he spoke to the delivery guy and that the delivery zone is 3 miles and said he was disappointed the guy didn’t like the tip I gave him. Will order again.

Really over priced for the quality, portion, and taste of the food. It’s a hit or miss with this diner, more often than not a miss.
I sometimes get delivery to my job that is about 10 blocks away and it usually takes almost 2hrs to arrive. I rather pay almost the same prices at Good Eats diner instead and have much much better quality and huge portions.
As far as service goes I’ve never had any issues.

Pitiful. Charged 8.50 for a tuna melt that took two hours to get delivered two blocks away. That’s two pieces of white bread with some tuna on it with unmelted cheese, for 8.50. No fries on anything. Try fame diner if you’re looking for delivery, better food at a better price and fast delivery.
On a positive note, the lady who answered the phone after I checked on my order an hour and a half in was extremely courteous and helpful, but I will not be ordering from here again.

Ordered food through GrubHub for a group of people while we were at a Bar. Delivery was estimated at 1 hour, and they arrived in 50 minutes.
Decent Diner food. I had a Buffalo chicken wrap. Vegetables were fresh and crisp, chicken was well cooked. They could have used a bit more Buffalo Sauce. My GF had a chicken kabob over rice. Rice and Chicken were both good. Fries were nice and crispy.

I ordered breakfast at 11:30 a.m. through GrubHub. Estmated delivery time was 30 – 45 minutes. Later revised to over an hour. After an hour and a half, I called the restaurant, they said food would be here in 10 minutes (no apology or regret whatsoever). Waited an additional 30 minutes. Had my phone in my hand to call AGAIN, when the guy finally showed up with my cold food, 2 hours after I ordered it. No apologies or concern. I tried to reheat the food but it still wasn’t good enough to justify a 2 hour wait. Never again.

So far we’ve ordered 3 times from here.
— EVERY order took TWO HOURS to be delivered.
— EVERY order was delivered cold.
— The food itself is okay (mains are okay, home fries are bland).
Seriously, if you’re hungry NOW, order from anywhere else.

I ordered through grub hub, it took an hour and a half, the food wasn’t great…

Our company places a mass order everyday to restaurants around the area. We have ordered from them before the food was ok. We hadn’t ordered from them in months so we decided to give them another chance. Well first off our food came 1.5hours after we called it in and we are only 8min. from JRC. They forgot our drinks, messed up one of the orders, forgot an order, and didn’t cook one of the burgers «well» like the person asked for. When we called JRCs and told them what had happened they said ok we will send the driver the back we had anticipated maybe a 20min turnaround NO we called 45min later and they said they driver was on his way. At this point we were all fed, and hungry not to mention that the food was tasteless and didn’t look to good.
We spoke to the manager he wasn’t apologetic he didn’t offer a refund or even a free pie or «something» he was upset that we wanted to be refunded for the missed items and the wrong item. We will NEVER call or recommend them.
Don’t waste your time or money with them they are also overpriced for bland food.

Bad delivery service. The driver refused to bring it up to my apartment, so I had to go down to get the food. I called to complain to the manager and he didn’t care. When I ate my food, the fries were cold and soggy and so was the bun for the chicken sandwich. I won’t order form here again.

LITERALLY the tastiest diner right down the block from my new store front! GREAT SERVICE, SUPER FAST delivery… i mean even the other restaurants take forever that are right up the block… We, at Mélange nyc, have ordered from them practically everyday. Their portions are DEFINATELY made with love ! JR IS DEFINATELY OUR NEW FAVORITE SPOT WHEN WE ARE HUNGRY AT WORK ;D

Bonus star for prominently displaying what appears to be some classy Italian bottle of wine on the shelf next to the miniature boxes of cornflakes. Presumably, the two go well together.
Also, one star for the donuts. Tiny selection of standard diner/​cart-​style offerings — at least they sprung for the larger-​diameter ones?
And, I suppose, another star for the fact that you can get a coffee and donut, sit at the counter for several hours of refills, and still be out under $ 3.
In other words, it’s a diner. With Godfather memorabilia and, incongruously, a small forest of live decorative tropical plants.

I wish I could comment on the food, however their delivery took LITERALLY 2 hours…
Don’t really want to write a bad review about them but:
A. at the same time I also don’t know why they deliver to williamsburg when theyre out in queens
B. are you serious? 2 hours off
and I placed a 2^nd order from a different place after an hour and a half and they arrived before this delivery could arrive.
C. Called 3 times to see where the order was and each time the guy was around the corner from me… can’t say it was the best service I’ve received.

Just ordered from JR’s Coffeeshop on seamless about an hour ago.
First of all I don’t know why they even deliver to me, I am all the way down on myrtle in Bushwick. But thanks for that.
Just good breakfast food
I don’t understand the 1 egg sandwich for the price they list… most places… even manhattan its 3.75 for 2 eggs on a rolls… ok cutting out the specifics, it’s a little expensive.
