Rented a row boat for an hour. The guys on the dock were helpful and friendly. It’s a fun place if you want to rent boats for an hour or two and walk around the park afterwards.

Towards the end of summer, my fiancé and I wanted to go boating. We rented a motor boat for 3 hours and it was reasonbly priced. The staff were so nice and helpful. It was great going around the lake.

We have rented boats from this place a few times. The boats we rented have been in good working order. The area of improvement is customer service and good business practice. Each trip we would call to verify they were open and get a sense of availability and each time we received no answer. I understand that many phone calls may come in and the answering machine can provide answers to most FAQ. When weather or water conditions change take five minutes to update it each time announcing early closure or limited boats are available. We traveled a far distance to enjoy a couple of hours on a pontoon boat to find out that it rained at Nockamixon so the pontoons were retired early. Weather is not the same everywhere even in PA so we had no idea. Now that the summer is over maybe the phone will be answered more often. Just a simple practice can create a better experience.

AWESOME time, took out a bunch of my grandchildren, got around the whole lake on a pontoon boat in just about an hour. There was a couple of private pontoons on the lake and we all had fun hailing each other talking across the water. Saw lots of wildlife and good bird watching as well. The people we worked with were helpful, friendly and informative. Once I got the hang of it it was a breeze to drive and that’s really what its like, driving. Remember to slow down around fisherman who are standing in the boat(oops sorry about that). The kids and I had fun; good value for the experience. COnsidering the abuse these boats get they were in decent shape. No dogs on the pontoons because someone lets their animals pee and poop on them(people issue not dog issue just my opinion), missed taking the dog on but otherwise we are heading back this weekend.

Renting a boat was really easy and we had a blast. We could rent from three different boats(there might be more) and had people to help get on and off the boats. After we headed to the picnic area.

Just finished up a Labor Day weekend picnic with employees and family. We rented pontoon boats, canoes, electric boats, peddle boats and kayaks. Naturally it was hectic but the staff here handle each of our requests for about 8 hrs straight. I’m surprised by the bad reviews of this place. Maybe they have new staff? Either way they were very helpful and our party had a great time. Only downside is the boats aren’t really fast. There is some kind of motor restriction on the lake so don’t expect to wake board. Overall it’s still a good time.

Nice, place good people, boats are in good shape if u get a working motor. Rented an electric motor boat. Really low power motor but good for just moving around a bit on the lake. of course i think ours was under powered considering the motor died in the middle of the lake and we had to row back to the dock against the current. went out for 10 minutes and spend the next 40 trying to work our way back to the docks. But if it had worked the whole time it would of been fantastic. Just bad luck i guess.

I tried to rent a kayak for a dusk cruise with some friends that have their own. The young kid rudely told me that they close at 6, and hung up on me. I indignantly called back wondering why in the world they would treat a prospective customer like that, and really hoping that they could work w me so I could still go with our friends.(why in the world would they not take a $ 200 kayak back after hours, hertz does with $ 30k cars). I got an older guy, who laughed at me when I said his other worker hung up, and said of course we can’t take it back after 6-we’re closed! and hung up on me when I complained about his rudeness. Will never approach them again, and recommend all of my friends to avoid such rude people.

Rented a pontoon boat — great experience. The guys on the dock were helpful, and gave valuable information — you could tell they had experience dealing with inexperienced boaters. It took us 2 hours to travel the entire lake on the water — didn’t stop much. More info here: Word to the wise — call to reserve the pontoon a few days in advance. They are popular and only a few. First time we tried to rent they were all taken for the entire day. You will need a credit card & a license to rent. Boats were clean, full of fuel, ready for fun!

Very beautiful area. The guys running the place provided average customer service(not super friendly, but efficient). We rented a double kayak for $ 20 for one hour. The prices for other rentals like pontoons and motor boats were higher. Everything seemed pretty clean and in good working order. Lots of fun, beautiful scenery — I felt like I was a lot farther away from the city than just about an hour’s drive. I chalk that up as a good thing, if you’re looking for staycation activities.
