I was there for breakfast. Was seated and given menues. We were not offered coffee or tea. Not even water. The servers were huddled in a booth talking. Waited ten minutes to come back and Take our order. Not very friendly. We had to call her over to get a refill of coffee. Another time met a friend for coffee same thing. We had to waite for service. We just had coffee. Haven’t been back. I have been given better service at Quakertown family and Coopersburg family Restaurants.

Breakfast is exactly what u would expect to get a two in the morning. A menu with everything ur stomach desires. But with such a menu quality will suffer a little and it does. Service good, clean what I could c. At 2am I would stop.

The mayo based salads din’t look great on the salad bar. Need to be rotated more. Bread is often stale. I had the steak fajitas and frankly Applebee’s are better. Not a true cut of steak. They also use Pita bread pockets not real fajita bread. My partner’s pork was swimming in gravy. Stick to breakfast here. Place has gone downhill since a massive menu change about a yr ago.

We will no longer be giving this place our business. We were there for breakfast and had to wait 20 minutes before we were waited on, after we had been seated. We finally placed our order and then waited another 30 minutes for our food. When our food came out, it was literally cold. Our waitress huffed as she took the food back. It was obviously microwaved; the edges of the pancakes and omelet were hard. Never received refills on coffee or other drinks. We had to ask for silverware, syrup, and then our toast. Worst service ever! Quality of food was terrible! When asked how our food was when we checked out, we told the cashier; he just shrugged his shoulders. We have eaten there for years but have noticed the quality going down. Today was the last straw!

John’s is extremely inconsistent. I usually come here for convenience and always being able to get a seat. Positives are that they are always open. The staff at times can be friendly, but my overall experience with them is «blah». The food quality is hit or miss. Can they learn to make crispy scrapple? The skin on the scrapple is chewy. How does that happen? Feels reheated in a microwave.

I love this place because I can actually get in right away on a weekend morning. I don’t have to wait in line forever for breakfast like at the Coopersburg Diner. The food is excellent every time I go!

I just want to let everyone know that you need to look in the bottom of your coffee cup. We had what looked like a boogier in the bottom of the the cup. I mentioned this the manager an he didn’t care at all. Go to a CLEAN restaurant!

Really not an enjoyable experience. Stopped in for lunch yesterday afternoon and, because it is a diner, did not go in with exceptionally high standards. However, even for a diner, there were some things this place was certainly lacking. To start, the menu is a little odd — Under any of the sandwich sections of the menu, you’re instructed to order«by number». So, for example, I ordered a wrap, and under the wrap category of the menu, each kind was assigned a number. I found this a little odd and had to wonder why the menu was set up this way. Despite what the menu said, I went ahead and ordered my buffalo chicken wrap… Which was not a buffalo chicken wrap at all. First of all, the menu described the chicken as crispy. I had expected some kind of chicken tender or fried chicken coated in buffalo sauce, but instead what I got looked like chicken salad out of a can with some buffalo sauce mixed in with it. It looked vaguely like cat food, to be honest. The sweet potato fries that came with it were okay, but nothing special. The service itself was pleasant enough — our server was polite and attentive, however, there was one thing she did that really grabbed my attention. As a server myself, every restaurant I have ever worked at has very blatantly said that a server should never EVER place a drink tray on a table when handing out drinks to guests. Our server did just that(there were only three drinks on the tray itself, so it couldn’t have been that heavy or difficult to balance), and placed the tray on our table and THEN handed us our drinks. Nobody else in my party seemed to notice this, but it is a small detail that really did shock me and only added more negativity to our experience. While I’m aware this isn’t our server(or anyone who isn’t management)‘s fault, the uniforms the servers had to wear were also awful. While the décor of the restaurant was fun and supposedly ‘plain and fancy’, the servers just looked dated in a bad sort of way in mid-length pencil skirts and black vests. On a final note, I understand that this is a diner and not some five-star place, but there are certain things you expect from any restaurant and decent food is one of them. Tiny flaws in the service I can overlook, but when combined with gross food, everything just added up.

Dining here is hit or miss. This time it was more of a miss. Service was just ok. Food this time was terrible. Lasagna was burned on the bottom. layers & sauce were dried out. Seafood was burned on the bottom & dried out & tasteless in center. So disappointed, didn’t bother to order dessert. Will be a long time before we take a chance coming here again.

Husband planned my 50th Birthday Party here. We had it in the back dining room. We had about 35 people. Everyone couldn’t believe how good the food was and how large the portions were. A lot of people ordered the Primb Rib. I give the Primb Rib Five Stars! It was juicy, tender and melted in my mouth! The waitress’s and staff were so helpful in helping my family set up the place for my party. The service was wonderful! Can’t say enough about the Spanish waitress we had. She was awesome! We never had to ask for a refill on our drinks. I would definitely recommend this place! They helped make my Birthday really special!

New chef this Easter Sunday 2015. The Salmon looked just like Flounder and hidden beneath a mound of broccoli. My mother-in-law sent back her meal for the first time in her life. We brought it up to the manager but it was uncertain how much he cared. The waitress was great. Oh well.

This was an absolutely average diner experience for me. I wasn’t wowed by any of their offerings but I wasn’t put off either. Their coffee is very average, edible but not tasty. Their home fries are also very average, but at least they’re cooked all the way through. Our service was a bit spotty but that’s to be expected. I have to point out that they butter their toast in a very odd fashion, pretty much just haphazardly, so that you have to ‘re-butter’ every slice. There was a huge chunk of butter sitting close to the crust’s edge of my rye bread. Why put it on at all in that case? This isn’t somewhere I’d go again and really you won’t be missing too much if you skip it.

Six of us went here for breakfast. We were promptly seated by the host in a spacious, well lighted, and clean dining area. Our waiter must have had a memorable evening because taking care of us was not his priority. Though he was pleasant, he seemed to disappear at times. Besides not knowing who received which plate, he had to be reminded several items about what we had ordered. One of us never did receive his bread request. Because most of us ordered pretty standard diner breakfast fare it is difficult to evaluate the food. It all appeared to be prepared with fresh ingredients, including the corned beef hash which in some places comes out as a deep fried patty. The overall atmosphere here is compfortable and the prices are quite reasonable.

Really good food for a diner, and a sizable menu. Everything was delicious, and SO cheap! My eggs weren’t at all watery and nothing was too greasy– That earns an A from me as far as diners go! 4 stars because my waitress wasn’t exceptionally friendly, but in her defense it was very late at night. However, the manager made several stops at our table to check on us, and he was fabulous! Very sweet and friendly man. Great service. Highly recommend this place!

This place is conveniently located right on Hwy 309 in Quakertown. Has a great old 50’s diner look. They have daily specials, plenty of seating and parking. Their prices are very reasonable. Staff are friendly and efficient. I adore creamed chipped beef on toast and always go out for it when I’m back up here in the area(can’t ever find it where I’m living now in NC). Their’s is fantastic! Next time I’m up this way I’ll definitely come back for more.

It’s a Diner It aint run by Gordon Ramsey. That being said the Food is great, the employees are friendly and the drinks are cold. Favorite meal is the Gyro. always delicious. I would give it 4 stars but its a pain to pull in and out of the place. Which is not the fault of the restaurant. Once a month on a sunday this is our spot.

This is a typical northeast diner, open 24 hours and has everything imaginable on the menu. It’s fun too because one side of the restaurant is typical diner style with booths and neon lights while the other side is «fancy» with chandlers and crown molding.(if you go after 10pm they almost always put you on the«plain» side) I will preface this review with this: it’s a diner. Just because they have lobster on the menu doesn’t mean you should order it. They have great sandwiches, fantastic fries(especially curly fries), big deserts, and excellent ‘breakfast’ type foods. The prices are very reasonable for what you’re getting, and your beverage always stays full, even if you go at 2am. Which is great, because basically nothing else in Quakertown is open after 11pm. Another great thing is they will not kick you out. If you have finished and been given your bill, don’t expect them to keep filling your drink, but they won’t make you leave. However, if you plan on staying forever keep 2 things in mind: don’t do this in the middle of the day if people are obviously waiting for a table(because that’s rude), and if it’s late and you’d waitress is leaving make sure you give them their tip before they go. I really like this place, I’ve been going for about 9 years on and off, but when I’m in town, this is my go-to place, especially if I want to catch up with friends.

Stopped by to try out. Pretty good, tried things you normally don’t see elsewhere. Would stop by when in the area.
