My last visit to Flecks was on a Sunday. I tried to buy a box of sticky buns to take home but apparently they stop baking at 12 or something. I was there at 1pm the Qmart is open to 5pm. So they don’t have sticky buns for the last 5 hours of the day. WTF?! I can handle the cheap Dutchy ways of this town!

I grew up on Fleck’s sticky buns. Seeing the ones at the Quakertown Farmers market was not the same look. And biting into them was not the same great experience as the old Montgomeryville mart or the new mart that failed. We were disappointed. They were smaller, less coated in the indulgent sugar/​butter, and look rather pale. Oh well, an era past.

Flecks is gone sad to say. We were there last weekend and the familiar smell was not there when we walked in. sad. :(

There are lots of reasons to go to the Quakertown Flea Market, but top on the list has to be the sticky buns at Fleck’s. Forget the weight watchers and indulge in old fashioned sticky goodness.
