I have ordered rock in the past from Puyallup Bark Supply and the service and rock were great. Recently I ordered 12 yards of «clean» 1 ¼ inch Rock and it had so much dirt and debris in it-​I couldn’t believe it! It is not like you can just return it! I was very disappointed! I even called them to voice my dismay and they didn’t offer any kind of reimbursement. Will definitely think twice before ordering anything from Puyallup Bark Supply again.

This place is an absolute joke! After placing an order for medium bark, we revived fine bark. We called in to tell them of this mistake they basically told us we got a better product because the receptionist placed our order wrong. We wanted to talk to the owner about this and we were transferred to him and he told us we had to call back the next day to speak to the manager. My husband got a hold of «the manager» and he was the most rude, disrespectful, horrible man. He was yelling at my husband (who is a veteran) telling him That he had no respect for veterans and saying my husband wouldn’t talk like that if he was a vet. After disrespecting and yelling at my husband all we wanted was his name so we could call the owner to make him aware of this horrible excuse for a man he has running a company who says «service is their specialty». He would not give us his name after asking multiple times and then hangs up on my husband. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS AWEFUL COMPANY!!!

I’ve only had good experiences here. I like the location. It’s easy to get in and out of. Prices are fair. They also deliver and have used that once. Been in with my truck probably at least six times over the past two years.

Ordered 4 yards of beauty bark and they got it delivered to me in an hour like they promised. The driver even dumped the load in different spots for me to make my job much easier. I highly recommend these guys!

Went for a yard got ¾ when questioned about it two guys got all defensive. Will never do business there again. Go down the street to Randall’s. I give this place a negative 5 stars. The lady at the counter was friendly and the young kid on the back hoe.

Layout appeals to me.
Variety of products is good
But the price is absolutely horrible!!!
They use a front-​end loader with a little-​bitty bucket to dump a teenie-​weenie amount of product. I have a ½ ton pick-​up which barely even registers that something was loaded. And they call that a yard!
Now go over to Corliss on Meridian (immediately south of the landfill and 176th and look to see how they operate). This huge machine scoops up and empties its bucket into the back of your truck. The load totally compresses the suspension as it completely fills the bed. The only reason they stop filling is because I cry «UNCLE.» (or they are afraid my axle will break).
Price is comparable but the amount loaded dwarfs Puyallup Bark Supply.

If I could give it a zero star I would. I ordered 12 yards of dirt for a big landscaping project. The first delivery was perfect. The second delivery almost ruined my project! The driver said that he was unable to deliver the dirt in the backyard like the last driver and suggested he dump it in the drive way and we haul it to the backyard ourselves. He eventually did drop in the backyard he ran over an existing flower bed destroying a flood light, also some of the dirt got stuck in the truck so to get it out he bounced the truck across the yard making a lot of the dirt go out of the feature and into the grass– witch is extremely difficult to get out and kills the grass in the process. When I called to talk about my experience the management said that once I signed the delivery slip they didn’t care anymore and refused to even reimburse me for the light they destroyed! Horrible customer service!

Called in to see how late they were open, the man said 3pm, so I said I would be by in a few. I had my mother swing by about an hour later on her way towards my house to pick up a ½ yard of crushed rock, she got there and the office was closed, so she calls the number and they said they’re on lunch until 12:30, which it was only 11:15 when she got there. No thanks.
This will be the only time I deal with this company. You’re either open or you’re not, not going to have my mom sit and wait for 90 minutes while you enjoy some tacos down the street.

Claimed to have a military discount. Only $ 1 off a yard. Really?! Don’t claim to have military discount when you don’t, and when we inquire more about, talk to us in a rude and condescending tone. Never will buy rock here ever again.

Great local business. You order what you want and it’s delivered very quickly. I have ordered bark three times and soil one time. Each time they have asked when I would like it delivered and I say anytime. They always ask if within the hour is okay. The truck driver delivers it without any problems and has always placed it on the requested side of the driveway.

I’ve used them several times for both pickup and delivery. Their prices are very reasonable (a huge bargain compared to the bagged option) and they’re easy and fast to work with. It’s a Mom and Pop type feel for a company so perhaps it lacks some level of «professionalism» but I think we’ve just come to accept the big «depot» stores with their «customer is always right» mentality and have forgotten that some companies are run by ordinary humans. If you’re polite and courteous you get the same from them.
Good place to go.

This is where I get my beauty bark and gravel. They’ve been in the business for a decade or so and are always fast and friendly. Very reliable people as well. Call ahead and they can get you rolling a little faster when you get there!
