My favorite Indian restaurant! The people here have always been so nice and helpful, the portions are generous, I love the authentic feel of the place, and don’t even get me dtarted about the food. I took my boyfriend here, who’s never before had Indian food, and in just that one meal it became one of his favorites. I made him try some of the vegetarian dishes and he responded with, «Oh my god! No wonder it’s so easy for Indian people to be vegetarians if they eat like this.» I highly reccomend the Samosas, chicken curry, rice pudding, and if you’re on a date for two you should get the $ 40 deal for two people to eat. It offers a wide variety of Indian food and was so much that we had almost half of it as a leftover for the next day(which is saying a lot, we ate that stuff up). Be prepared to go on a taste journey if you eat here.

I am not an Indian food connoisseur but the food at this restaurant is really excellent. The women who work in my office love it and order it whenever we have an office lunch.

This was my first experience with trying Indian food. It was great. The service was very attentive. The food was delicious. I had the Nirvana with Lamb. Each meal comes with basmati rice. It was amazing. You get to choose how spicy. I chose 3 on a 1 to 5 scale. I typically like spicy, and a 3 wasn’t hot at all. Service was cloth napkins and linen table cloths. I highly recommend this restaurant. I will be back.

This is quite easily my favorite restaurant to go to. I have had to limit my intake to 1 – 3 times per month(I’m not kidding!). The Nirvana is MYFAVORITE! It is so amazing. I usually will order the Nirvana in chicken or lamb, both are very good. Great texture! I have had the Tikka masala, the korma, the Makhani and many other dishes, I have never been disappointed. My daughter(who is 5) always orders the Tikka Masala with a Mango Lassi. This is her favorite restaurant is well. The wait staff are friendly, attentive and beyond accommodating. They great us like we are part of the family! Never a bad experience. I have eaten here over 25 times I am sure!

Consistently great food, curries are serious. They are always happy to see us and I’ve never had a bad meal here. I think this is the best Indian food in the Seattle area. The folks who work here mix good cocktails as well! Great naan, the Nirvana curry is outrageous, portions are huge. They do free food for soldiers once a month as well. Convenient location on Meridian. My little girl loves the mango lassi.

So yummy. We got take out lamb chiriyani, chicken nirvana, and garlic naan. The chicken was some of the most tender chicken I’ve had. The lamb with rice seemed dry to me and too sticky. The naan was very good. I would love to come back and enjoy some more of that chicken nirvana.

I like eating here, the service is pretty average though. Their mango curry at a three star spicy level is fantastic with the garlic naan. I tend to go there in the early afternoon hours before the place gets too busy and they can get VERY busy. I’d advise to call in and order for carry out if you are close to dinner time rather than being that impatient guy that leaves in a flurry. This place isn’t doesn’t advertise“FAST food” it’s reasonably good quality Indian cuisine. I’d also like to say that this restaurant is a great place to take someone that is new to Indian food. I’ve introduced several friends to Karma Indian Cuisine and they enjoined the food as well. Just make sure, anytime you eat here, to specify your spicy level(one to five) or you’re going to have a bad time.

When I heard they offer a free buffet for military service members and their families once a month, I had to take my family here. My 7 year old loves butter chicken and couldn’t wait to eat here. actually that’s all he’s been talking about since we found out. The husband and I have ate here a few times and each time we enjoyed our meals very much. However, this was the first time we had their buffet. In regards to their buffet, the food wasn’t too bad(it was free, so free food is never bad right?) The only issue I had was that the area where you get your food was not lit. So it was a bit hard to see exactly what you were getting. They offered six different dishes. It would have been nice if they labeled what each dish was, but then again, not sure if that would have helped since it was dark. I would have also liked it if there was more chicken in the dishes since it was mainly sauce with a tiny bit of meat. I think all had chicken and no other proteins the night we went. My husband was a bit disappointed, and was hoping to eat lamb. I thought the flavors were okay, but a bit on the bland side. I’m sure my family and I will be back though. My kids really enjoyed their meals.

I really don’t prefer Indian food at all, but this was the best I have tasted. Been to 3 places in a year now and this has the best out of them all. The Naan was off the charts good. Like, really good. The mixed grill was perfect for a picky eater as myself. Décor and ambiance was a bit lacking and needed some work and the mixed drinks were a little heavy… All in all I’d go again.

OMG… the food we got here was AMAZING! If you want good authentic Indian food come here. If you are in the area, come here. Heck, go out of your way to eat here because it is that good! Be careful with the spice though I usually get a #4 spicy every where I go but it was a little hotter than usual. I will get a #3 spicy next time. The have a full bar with a good beer selection and the decorations are very nice. We will definitely be going back for more.

I have enjoyed every thing I have gotten, we try a new dish each time. Their service is amazing, the atmosphere is great. When i order take out, it’s packed well and still hot when I get home 20+ minutes later. Their mango Lassi is the best I have had.

We ordered chicken makhani and shrimp tandoori. It was very delicious. We tried some samosas for appetizer they were good too especially with their mint chutni. I would recommend anyone who likes Indian food to go try this place.

The good: I love this place, and have eaten here for the last year at least every couple of weeks. Their food is delicious, and reasonably priced. The not so good, and the reason I’m not giving it 5 stars: 1. Their service in restaurant isn’t amazing; it’s definitely not bad, it’s decent, it’s just not great. I’ve had multiple experiences with different servers, and each is about the same. 2. Recently I ordered a to-go order and when I was eating at home, I chipped my back tooth on a rock. I’ve NEVER had this happen before, and it was likely a fluke that rarely happens in their restaurant. I called to make them aware, and they were apologetic and offered to comp my next order from there if it was the same order, since I didn’t want a remake right then. Unfortunately, tonight(a week later) I redeemed my free meal(I still tipped on it too, even though they insisted on not taking it, but I know tips mean a lot in this industry), and we had yet another problem. I ordered one entrée(Bharta) as a «3 to 4»(I normally order a «3 and a half», I guess I shouldn’t have changed my wording), and I ordered a 2 for my childrens’ entrée(chicken makhani). We got home and both entrees were at least a 4, if not a 5. I like spicy but could barely get through mine, and my children simply couldn’t eat theirs(when they frequently eat my 3 – 3.5 spice level entrees without complaint — and I always order theirs at either a 2 or 3 depending on the dish). So! I don’t know if something has changed recently or if my last two experiences are just bad luck? I would still say to check them out though, hopefully your food is like mine usually is, most of the time — fantastic.

My rating of Karma is more like a solid B-. They serve rather bland and underspiced Indian food for people who probably haven’t had or don’t know Indian food that well. I ordered a Mattar Paneer at 3 stars for spiciness that tasted more like a 1 star. It was decent tasting but nothing to write home about. My boyfriend wanted to try something new, so I suggested trying the lamb karahi since it comes out on a cool sizzling platter. However, they failed to tell us it would be plated since he ordered it at 4 stars(something I only knew from having worked at an Indian restaurant) so that was a bit of a letdown. The garlic naan was tasty though. I had to ask if there were refills on the chai and when I asked if they had sweetened chai, the guy serving us just pointed at the sugar packets. Every Indian restaurant I’ve been to serves sweetened chai as the default, but this was forgivable. Finally, this is probably just nitpicking but the interior/atmosphere was awkward, dim and a little too quiet. I could hear the open sign buzzing the entire time and the employees don’t really interact with you. They’re just… there. The service overall was adequate and they were on top of water refills so that was a plus.

The food was bland for an Indian restaurant. I asked for 5 stars of spiciness and got maybe equivalent to 2 stars at other restaurants. Is this how Indian spiciness works? I don’t think so! The plain naan is excellent though and service was fast and fine which gives this establishment 2 stars.

I will give this restaurant 3 stars. The food I got tonight wasn’t horrible. Just not worth the $ 50 we paid for take out. I ordered the Mushroom Curry with chicken, medium spicy. My husband ordered the Vindaloo with Lamb, medium spicy. Also, we ordered two orders of Garlic Naan. The portions were incredibly small for the price, neither of our curries were anything near spicy, very mild. And the Naan was burnt pretty badly on the bottom and tasted burnt. We’ve dined in at this restaurant a few times, it’s okay. But too Americanized. If I want some good, spicy curry… I will make the drive to India Mahal in University Place.

I had the lamb makhani and it was super yum! The sauce is red and thick. It wasn’t too spicy but flavorful. And, I think I’m in love with the waiter. He was soo sweet. I fell into his eyes and got taken away to paradise. Not like in the Bollywood movies. This was for real ;)
