Applebee’s

OK so I have always given this restaurant a bad review, but it has awesome food but their customer service was always bad. I got my food to go twice and the food was great.

Came in with my aunt and after we were seated we waited about 10 mins before our waitress acknowledged us. My aunt went back down the stairs and the hostess was talking to a group of 3 or 4 other waitresses and hit my aunt right in her mouth. Yes it was an accident but damn man none of the other people facing her could say anything? Like hey don’t flap your hand so wildly a customer is coming? All she got was a quick sorry. No concern if she was ok. My said something to the waitress and all she said was «that’s too bad» really? Bad customer service right there, you’d think management would come out. Never going back. Expensive mediocre food and bad customer service!

My daughter and I came in here for lunch today. It’s also good here but today was extra great for some reason. The service from our server Tonya G was awesome. She was very friendly and attentive. It was also nice to see the manager who also made sure our experience was great. He sat us, got printer paper for my daughter that she requested because she just got new markers and also helped keep our table clean. I’m also in the restaurant industry and really appreciate the kind, helpful service and team work. And the new burger «brunch all day» or something like that was so yummy! With an egg and hash browns on it!

Not impressed at all. Half of my order was missing on my takeout. Also when you order to go they give you about half the portion you would normally get when you come into sit down and completely throw it together. I will never order from this Applebee’s again. Not to mention the woman giving me the food was extremely rude about me asking where the rest of my food was. Very poor customer service. One star.

I typically have no issues with Applebees… however! Something to bi7Ch about today! They have. these new screens on the table… made to «help» you… the diner… order– Much like paying for cable and now radio… and the «self-​checkout» at the supermarket… these things are designed to «enhance» our experience… I guess??? What they are essentially doing is cutting the workforce of America, and the causing yet more of a gap between the unemployed who seek employment in service jobs as waitresses and waiters! I don’t WANT to be my own waiter… that’s why I came out to dinner… To be warmly greeted by a server with a smile, some light banter… You know…“hospitality?“
To make it worse? Games… games on their mini-computer…which is cool… BUT $ 2 a trivia game?!! The Ram, Black Angus and others have trivia for FREE! Not choosing Applebees again. Too many other fine restaurants. why should I eat here?

New menu is terrible. Use to be my favorite place till all the changes they made. Took everything that’s was good off of happy hour. Don’t ever go now

This was the worst. French fries and other unknown food was in our marinara sauce. All of the chicken was cold! We walked out! Ridiculous do not go!

Service was not good. Did not bring extra bread when asked, only one glass of water, lots of servers standing around talking but not attentive to customers. Won’t come back here soon!

First of all … Our server was amazing, friendly, and prompt. The manager on the other hand really lacked. My husband and I visited Applebee’s one evening and ordered a side salad and the ‘smothered steak’. When our salads were brought to us I noticed the rim around my plate was extremely dirty with grease marks, and dried dirty water marks. My husband noticed his plate looked the same. The manager was helping the table behind us with a issue and when he was finished my husband waved him down and he came over to us. I explained what the problem was as he looked at a plate, only to say I really didn’t see anything. He clearly didn’t want to admit that the plates were in less than satisfactory condition. I handed him the plate and said please look again when he finally admitted that in his words ’ oh there’s a bit of waste water on them’ as if that were no big deal and we should continue to eat off them. He was not friendly and not willing to promplty fix the problem. I should not have had to ask him multiple time to fix the problem. When they brought our new salads and plates to us, they were clearly the same plates, only they had wiped the rim with a rag. You could actually see the grease smeared in the direction of the plate, you could pipe your finger across the plate and feel the grease on your finger tips.
When the actual food arrived, only my husbands came. Apparently mine was given to someone else. The manager never came to our table to apologize.
We left with a ‘sour taste in our mouth’ after the experience and will never be back to this location.
I work in the food industry, if a customer EVER asked me to replace a dirty plate, I would never argue with them. Those plates were the kind of filth ANY body could see, and the fact that the manager just didn’t want to admit it was… Was enough for me.

This was my first time at an Applebees and unfortunately the experience left a nasty first impression on me.
Oh and when we made the visit the location was not busy at all. So there should have been no excuses.
First I would like to add what I ordered, it was just a simple chicken tender basket with a Oreo milk shake. To start off the chicken and the fries were cold, and after 10 mins our waitress returned to ask us how it tasted. Both meals that were ordered were cold, so they had to remake both meals. After an additional 10 mins past I had finished my Oreo shake of which I had hoped to enjoy with my meal. In addition the second basket with the chicken was burnt, and having overly cooked chicken stripes is just nasty.
I am thinking to myself how do you fubar a chicken tender basket with fries? Other places like Dairy Queen and the Ram serve chicken tender and fries and it is delicious and hot. The only reason why I did not rate this place a 1-​star was because of the waitress Wendi, she is why I would probably come back to an Applebees due to her extremely pleasant attitude and speedy response time.
The management however leaves something to be desired and I hope they replace management so that this store can serve HOT food.

Our server was the best! We were looking for a quick lunch, so we asked for advice (avoid burgers and steaks; choose appetizers, sandwiches, soups). He also got us the bill quickly.
The food was the regular Applebee’s fare.
The Chicken Tortilla soup was good! The spices used reminded me of chili, though it wasn’t that spicy. It seems like they’re having a «southwest» theme now, so this must have been part of it.
The Spinach and Berry Salad had a sweet dressing, but it was surprisingly good. The saltiness of the blue cheese countered it well.
I guess I ended up choosing non-​greasy things today. That’s probably why I liked them.
