In May of 2016 Joseph performed the perfect marriage ceremony for Cliff and myself. We wanted special but not big, and he gave us the most wonderful experience. He suggested the beach, it was beautiful, and as we have been together for 31 yrs I already had a beautiful ring so we exchanged lei instead, it was perfect. The we decided to ask if he knew anyone who might blow the Conch shell for us in the Hawaiian tradition and he said he would, and he did. Now the ceremony that he wrote had us both in tears because it was so perfect. When you speak with him you just know he will handle everything and it will be perfect.
Now we aren’t picture people but of course we wanted some so Joseph asked his wife if she would take them, with my iPad and iPhone, and I know from talking to Joseph she is an artist but I think she may also be a photographer at heart. She got some of the best picture of my sweetheart, and that man can hide from a camera, that I have ever had of him. It was just the 2 of us and we invited Patt and Joseph to dine with us afterward and had a perfect evening.
You will not go wrong if you put your wedding in Joseph’s hands.

Joseph was absolutely the best! We appreciated so much having him officiate our wedding. He not only provided the greatest level of support in helping us plan our special day, but he also worked with us constantly from day one to ensure that nothing went wrong on our special day. Joseph really cares about the bride and groom he works with… you could really tell this by working with him. Trust me, if you are a bride who freaks out about having everything be perfect on the day of her wedding, than Joseph is the man for you. He did an excellent job at reassuring me that everything would be fine and really became more than an officiant, he also became a true friend. If we ever visit Maui again, we will certainly meet him for a cup of coffee or dinner. He is now like family. We didn’t have much to spend on this wedding and Joseph really worked with us and our budget. He goes above and beyond for the couples he works with, I truly felt that. We had no photographer for our special day, only a professional camera. His wife offered to shoot our wedding and gave us photos that were even better than a professional could provide… she didn’t even charge us, how wonderful is that?! We love Joseph and would recommend him to anyone looking to elope in Maui. He is possibly the greatest person you can ever meet and will give you the wedding of your dreams without spending $ 10,000 on your big day. Hire him! You will be so grateful that you did! He provided a well thought out questionnaire, which we carefully filled out. He created personalized wedding vows, which we reviewed and further tailored. We booked Joseph to officiate our wedding on Maui in August, 2015. Joseph took the time to get to know us by email and phone, and when he sent us the initial draft of our ceremony we were amazed at how insightful he was! We actually didn’t make any changes at all, because we felt that he really ‘got’ what we are about and what we were looking for. Joseph met us on Maui before our ceremony to go over things. He is warm and relaxed, and made us feel like things were going to be great — which they were! We highly recommend booking Joseph for a personal and meaningful experience.

Joseph did a wonderful job with our Maui wedding ceremony. Throughout the process he was helpful, patient, thoughtful, and open minded. He met with us and communicated with us over telephone and email numerous times leading up to our wedding in order to determine exactly what we wanted. We were looking for a Jewish ceremony, but with some modifications to not be overly religious. He produced a ceremony that was exactly what we wanted and did a wonderful job delivering it. True to previous comments, Joseph made our wedding ceremony so personal and special. I am an extremely particular person, and he is exactly what we were looking for– someone warm, professional, and who made us feel so at ease during the process. Our guests thought Joseph was hilarious, but also so sincere with his words. Reviewing the websites of wedding officiants on Maui, we discovered quite a list; many who provided templates for the order of the ceremony and templates for the vows. Looking at Joseph Narrowe’s site we could immediately tell that he offered something different.
On first contact (by phone from the mainland) he was quite gracious, listening to our thoughts, getting a feel for who and what we were about. He made things fun and we knew as we ended that first call that we had found our officiant. Via email and an occasional phone call we got things finalized beyond what we had hoped to achieve from home. Joseph not only created a wonderful set of vows, but he offered suggestions for possible ceremony locations and recommended other ways to make the event special.
Once on Maui, he met with us over coffee and everything about the meeting just reinforced that we had made the right decision. His easy manner and genuine interest in us as a couple, as well as his inclusiveness with my stepson, really showed. In the course of these final preparations he continued to offer ideas for personalizing the service, such as including my stepson in the lei exchange, that reinforced his understanding of what we wanted to achieve. Needless to say, the ceremony went off beautifully. It was personal, warm and lighthearted at just the right moments! Joseph really made our entire Maui visit an experience to remember. We got incredibly lucky when we found Joseph to officiate our wedding. After speaking with him on the phone and trading a few emails, he wrote a beautiful ceremony that was so specific to us. We met up with him for a cup of coffee after arriving on the island, and instantly knew that he would do a great job with our wedding. A couple days later (a day later than originally planned thanks to a crazy rainstorm — we were so glad that we were able to postpone a day and wait for better weather), we met Joseph at the grassy knoll by the ocean that he’d found for us, and he married us. The ceremony went off without a hitch, and we were both very moved by the lovely poems that Joseph had incorporated into it.

My husband and I were very nervous as we were trying to plan a wedding on short notice from 2700 miles away. I made a few calls to other officiants per recommended by other vendors and none of them we had a connection with — they were all about money and selling us a «package». My husband and I were married by Joseph Narrowe last November when we eloped to Maui. I was hugely impressed by his compassion, his ability to connect with us so quickly, and how he personalized the experience to suit us.
I spent weeks searching online for our Maui wedding officiant. I didn’t realize quite how many there are! Many of their websites made their services seem trendy or transactional, but when I found Joseph’s site and read about his background and how he prioritizes his couples, I knew I had to get in contact with him. Before marrying us, he spent multiple hours on the phone with my husband and me getting to know us, how we interact as a couple and what we wanted in our ceremony. We discussed our families and found connections so that when we met in Maui it felt like we already knew each other. He provided clear instructions on how to contact and make an appointment with the marriage license agent, gave us options to personalize our ceremony, and helped us narrow down the location to the best beach for us (it really was gorgeous — thanks for picking it out!).
Given that we eloped it was just the two of us on the beach with Joseph, but he was gracious and playful enough to take some snapshots of us with our point-​and-​shoot camera so we did leave with some pictures, and he recommended his favorite restaurant for us to go to and celebrate at afterwards. The experience was wonderful. I’m glad we got to meet him and have him officiate such an important experience in our lives.

We were seeking a destination wedding in Maui, no family, just us. So we searched and searched for the right person of officiate our wedding. We then we stumbled upon Joseph. I could tell by his website that he was probably going to be the perfect fit for what we wanted.

The ceremony was sensational. He put together an event that made my wife hysterically cry in joy. He wrote us a 4 page ceremony, that was exactly what we were seeking.
Without Joseph we could have still got married but with Joseph we had one the most passionate, heartfelt, love-​filled wedding.
He still keeps in contact with us, we also gained a real cool friend.

Joseph married my wife and me over 8 years ago. We met with him and another officiant on a prior trip to Maui and it was an easy choice to go with Joseph. He created a beautiful ceremony and we felt very relaxed with him. Many of our friends even commented that it was the best ceremony they had attended.
We continue to stay in touch with Joseph via email and see him every time we visit Maui. He has met our daughter and will certainly meet our second daughter.
