A review on a landfill? A 5-star rating on a landfill? Hell yeah!
This isn’t your old-school drive-your-vehicle-on-dirt-through-the-smelly-landfill days anymore! The entire path is paved, you back into one of around 10 bays, get out of your vehicle and smell nothing, and dump your trash into a huge bin about 8 feet below. It’s pretty damn clean, not at all dusty or dirty and you can even take a 2WD vehicle through.
Signage is poor but coming from Kahului, you’ll see the big catch screen/fence. As soon as you top the small hill, the entry is on your left. I missed it and had to make a u-ey.
The place also has a recycling area but I didn’t utilize it.
