For $ 5 you have unlimited time at this community center-rec center-skating rink, what could you possibly do for less with the kids and have such fun? OK, it’s an old place. It’s small. The floor is wood. The skates are worn. But the rules are loose, and the disco lights beat along to the music. There are free video games, a couple arcade games and a snack bar featuring Papa Johns Pizza, candy, microwave popcorn… it’s very mom and pop. But it’s fun. And quaint. And good small town fun. I always see someone I know when I go, and they are always open when playing outside is not a good option. People there are always friendly. I am grateful to have this here in Lo Co. Plus they have skate trainers I have not seen elsewhere which are great for little ones. They offer«quads»(roller skates) or «in line»(roller blades). I understand they have times(I think during the school day) when the littlest peeps can bring their ride on toys and ride around inside — what a nice option in bad weather. You will see kids from toddler age to teen and the best part is there are always parents there supervising their kids AND playing with their kids. When I look around I am always happy to see the place is reflective of Lo Co in general… a good family atmosphere. For a local joint it’s one of my kid’s favorite places to go and given the cost, location and comfort, I agree. If you’re local check it out. I highly recommend it.
