Purchased and returned a paddle board here…
The salesman was very knowledgeable and engaging, knew a lot about paddle boards and kayaks. I ended up purchasing a model that was on sale for $ 200 off the regular price.
I ended up not liking the width of the board once I got it out on the water, took it back to West Marine a few days later and it was NO HASSLE! No questions asked, they took back the board, paddle, case, everything… the money was put back on my card within 48 hours.

This is a fairly large West Marine store. This shouldn’t come as a surprise as Punta Gorda lays on Charlotte Harbor, the second largest bay in the state. Typical of most West Marine stores, the associates are friendly and helpful. I think I might implode if I ever go to one of these stores where an associate is unable to answer one of my questions.
The only issue I have with this store is the odd placement of the store and it’s awkward ingress and egress. At the corner of Taylor and North Bound Tamiami Trail, this store can easily be missed if you are coming heading south. I know that the corporation didn’t plan the community, but they did choose their store placement.
