Bernhard W.

Business Owner

Bernhard is an entrepreneur with Austrian roots. He has successfully established 13 businesses in Europe and, after retiring, has moved to Florida with his wife Tina. Based in Punta Gorda, they developed the business concept for Tina’s Café & Bakery Vienna and opened the first location on November 11, 2015.

Outstanding lunch here yesterday. Sandwich platter allowed us to sample a bit of everything. Was just right for two and left room for strudel and Sacher torte. Great service. Wonderful dinig experience

Tina and Bernard have opened a beautiful respite in our little piece of Vienna here in Punta Gorda. Everything is authentic and homemade. Her desserts are incredible. I love the sour sausage; it’s homemade and unique. All her desserts are homemade. Authentic coffee. Prices are reasonable. Stop in and enjoy the free wifi and authentic coffeehouse atmosphere. sandwiches, cookies and 5 different Austrian wines. Steigel on tap. Delicious. I’ve included a picture of Tina with apple strudel right out of the oven.

Wife and I had a unique and special experience. Lovely and peaceful setting in old house. Owner started by serving individually prepared cups of coffee served on silver tray with small glass of water. We both ordered Vienna breakfast with soft boiled egg and a delicious frrshly baked brioche with butter and jelly. Took home a piece of homemade apple strudel. All just perfect.

Lovely stop with nice ladies helping my selections of drink and food choices. Beautiful house refurb to small restaurant. I love this place. I had several things to eat, samples of curiosity. Brunch food was very good, and beautiful. Apparently local or inhouse made granola is excellent. Several cake and cookie things tried and all good. Special request coffee prep just right. Delightful gem in an adorable house. We sat on the front porch, which, although the not needed on this day, is equipped with fleece throws for breezier, more chilly days – an nice touch. Authentic Austrian – great coffee. Had the brioche –served warm with plenty of real butter! Yummy. Very clean and nice server! Although we were not here for lunch, the menu looked good. If we lived in the area, we might become regulars!

A very pleasant surprise for us. We went there for the first time and found a gem of a restaurant. Tina greeted us and told us Sunday was a buffet. Decision was made to stay and the food was perfect. Totally a Vienna experience. A must do when in Punta Gorda. We definitely will be going there again.

Tina’s is a fantastic new addition to the downtown Punta Gorda dining scene. Set in a beautiful bungalow on Taylor it is wonderful for breakfast, lunch or coffee or tea. They also have fresh squeezed juices, wine and beer. My husband and I shared the twelve open faced finger sandwich sampler. This had a selection of hams, sausages, cheeses, red pepper spread, fruits and pickles that combined to create amazing flavors! They also had goulash that day, that we did not try but heard raves about it. We loved everything about it! Excellent service as well!
