I know this operation well. Shrimp are harvested at night and sold the next morning. Always fresh.

Don’t know what this other reviewer is talking about. Clearly she wouldn’t know a fresh shrimp if it bit her in the ass. The Iron Ox shrimp are still moving when you buy them. She clearly must’ve mishandled the product. If she had complaints about the size, she should have voiced them when she purchased the shrimp. Shrimp are right in front of you as you buy them. Vicious? No just lies. I wouldn’t believe any review this reviewer has ever written.

Let me save you some time here. DON’T EVENTHINKABOUTIT. Icky, slimy, smelly and completely dead shrimp which can’t even be used as bait is what you’ll find being sold off this old rust bucket. I grew up in a fishing village and this man would be made to walk the plank in shark infested waters if he tried to pass this off as fresh shrimp in our waters. The Iron Ox should be renamed to Skanky and Janky. Ya, that’s what I said. Two names which it should be proud of. My other said this review was vicious… but so was the shrimp. Please quit trying to sell your 5 – 7 day old shrimp to people who easily pass as stupid tourists. We are neither. You did teach us something though at a cost of only $ 7 a pound… from here on out we will ask to smell our«fresh» fish buys we get off of Fishernman’s Village pier prior to actually purchasing IF we ever try it again. This guy has really soured us on fresh fish purchases from Fisherman’s Village boats. Please look at the pictures. These were sold as «medium» size. If medium is the size of the top third of my little finger then I guess the Captain nailed it.
