Amazing!!! Best restaurant I’ve been to in a while. Everything tasted amazing! I highly recommend the mofongo with pernil(pork). I also loved the tostones rellenos and alcapurrias. Mmmmmm!

We love Cilantro’s home cooked latin food. We are lucky to have Chef Dary here in Punta Gorda, Fl. This place is a hidden gem. I love her Pollo Guisado(stew chicken) and her delicious flan(latin custard).

Fantastic Latin Food. Nice variety. Beer & wine. Small & cozy. Not kid friendly. Terrific friendly service. Very reasonably priced.

The rating I am giving has nothing to do with the food. I went there after picking up people from the airport, based on the good reviews I had read. It was 10pm on Friday night. The restaurant had several tables filled but we were turned away saying they are closed.

Despite the negative reviews my hubby and I enjoyed the food and service. Tanya was very good and even gave us sample of their arroz con guandules. We definitely plan returning again.

My family and I love coming here. The food and service has always been great. Food is cooked to order and fresh. Hands down the best Cuban sandwich that I have had including the ones that I have had at Cuban restaurants. The mofungus are great. I have visited this place with many of my coworkers that fly in and this is always the place they request when in the area. This is a must try. Trust me it will keep you coming back for more.

Best. Cuban. Sandwich. Ever. And I’ve had a few, believe me, from NYC to Miami. The empanadas were excellent too.

New to the area, we look for new places. The service was wonderful and the food was great! Platters from a variety of Latin countries was a great option. I had the Cuban platter and will say that the plantains were some of the best I’ve had and we are from south Florida so that’s saying a lot. We will definitely be back.

Slow service, small portions and little flavor. I paid almost $ 9 for a Cuban sandwich and $ 3 for a coffee. The coffee came out luke warm and only filled my cup half-way. The waitress never inquired if I would like a refill. I then waited over an hour for my sandwich which was 2 small pieces of pressed bread with one thin slice of ham and about a tablespoon of pulled pork on each piece. To make matters worse only one half had a small piece of pickle. I love a good Cuban sandwich but unfortunately this was not it. I have heard good things about this place from about a month ago so maybe I caught them on an off day.

Latin American plus… Pretty small seating area. Pretty large ‘party room.’ Impressive variety of foods from South America, Puerto Rico, Cuba. If you’re looking for Mexican food, go elsewhere! Wife had a Cuban sandwich. She said it’s probably the best she’s had. I had one of the daily specials: Pork Chop Stew. Not what I invisioned, but very good. One large chop, covered with a stew like sauce. My sides were rice & black beans; Sweet Plantains. Price on point. Service was average. One observation/complaint: my meal came out. Waited about 5 minutes for my wife’s Cuban Sandwich to be served. Would we go back? Hell yes!

Tasty food that hits the spot and friendly staff. All the options on the menu looked great, especially the variety of empanadas. I can’t attest to drinks options(it was a work lunch) but there was a bar with stools. The restaurant is very intimate, so you can enjoy some private conversation.

Went in at 1 pm on a Thursday for the first time l was seated right way menu looked great but after 10 minutes of being ignored l left. The waiter took three other tables order who was sat after us we didn’t even get a drink order. There was a TSA agent who wait 5 minutes for change for a take out order what a shame l will never go back nor will l recommend this place to anyone.

My friend and I had lunch here yesterday and were pleasantly surprised. I was a little nervous at first being the only patrons in the restaurant(we went after 2:00pm) but our server, Alexander, quickly made us feel comfortable. We both ordered the shredded pork special at $ 7.99(see picture.) It was interestingly spiced and totally without chucks of fat that you sometimes find in shredded pork dishes. I ordered mine with the yellow rice and pigeon peas which, while delicious, sat on the plate in a small puddle of cooking oil. I’m not 100% sure if that was intentional. My fried plantains(could have ordered sweet as an alternative) and accompanying dipping sauce were ok. The plantains were a bit on the dry/chewy hard to cut side. Overall though, very positive experience and excellent plating/presentation of the dishes. If this is what Puerto Rican food is like then I think I’m going to have to visit Puerto Rico for a foodie trip. Until then, I’ll just go to Cilantro’s.

The food here is what I call«basically fantastic.» That, for me, means… they don’t fancy it up with sauces, etc. It reminds me of what I get when I’m in San Juan. The service is great because all of the wait staff pays attention to your table, not just the one who waited on you. I had the Cuban Platter with Pork, Black Beans and Rice, and Plantains. My wife has«Chicken Stew» which was really«Stewed Chicken» which, according to her, was the best she has had. The place is small, so when we walked in and saw an guitar player my first thought was, «Oh no!» That was an unfounded fear. The gentleman played at a low, background level that really added to the experience. This is a not to be missed restaurant.

Dary Colom, chef and owner of Cilantro’s restaurant has moved to a lovely location in Punta Gorda. As a proud Puertorican I must say their food is like my grandmother’s home made dishes. It’s like being in Puerto Rico! Great food, clean and welcoming restaurant, great staff and happy customers. I love seeing the diversity of people enjoying the food; Cilantros is a very special place. My family has been living in Charlotte County for 13 years now; I must say I’m happy to say I finally feel like I’m home. You will love the food.

Coming from New York, I love food from Puerto Rico. Chef and owner Dary Colom is the greatest. Her food brings me back to my days in NY. Perfect rice, pork, mofungo pollo quesado. Just tastes like home. Her new location is so cute. Feel like I’m in San Juan. Try it you’ll like it.
