Proflyght Hawaii Paragliding

Awesome experience with very nice people who absolutely put safety first. This was my first paragliding experience and I loved it! I would highly recommend you use these wonderful people and have this awesome experience!!!

The guys were amazing! Paul and Dexter were first class all the way! Had the most beautiful and out of this world first flight ever!!! Best part of our trip to Maui! I highly recommend it!

My three boys — ages 18, 16 and 11 absolutely loved it. Everyone was very friendly and did a great job from checking us in, explaining the process, answering all my questions, and most importantly showing the boys a great time on their flight. This was and will be the highlight of the trip.

I went on a 3000ft tandem flight with Terry, and he was great! He made me feel like I was the coolest guy on the tour, and he let me choose between a peaceful ride or a ride with tricks mixed into it. I chose the ride with tricks, and I couldn’t stop smiling the whole way down and even after. As Terry put it, I had a bad case of permagrin!

I just walk and run a few steps, then I can fly.
He also shows me some technique of paragliding .
Before I go, the Unilocal review is not good. but trip advisors got very good review.
If you want to do something special in your trip, just go paragliding. go for 3000ft…
Dont think about 1000 ft…

I am a paragliding pilot and took my wing along to Maui.
Dexter (the owner of Proflyght) is super friendly and runs a well organized paragliding site. I felt very welcome and all the local pilots are extremely nice, helped me in any aspect to enjoy wonderful flights.
After a quick site intro and a short skill assessment — they allowed me flying from the top. I have flown in Europe and the US, never the less the amazing artifact about this site is the cloud build-​up like clock-​work. It enabled multiple cloud surfing flights, which was simply stunning for me!
If you are a pilot; take your wing to Maui and visit Proflyght. I can highly recommend.

If you’re ever on Maui and looking for a little adventure, I highly recommend doing a tandem with Proflyght, Dexter, the owner, and his guys are pros and are just all around the best group of people you’ll ever meet. Dotti is efficient in getting you all setup with your paperwork, which takes less than a minute, she gets everyone safely to the top for launch, where you can begin your memorable adventure. I visited the site twice in one week, and I’m totally hooked, I’m going back to San Francisco and will take flight classes to get my license. I hope to be back flying solo with these guys.

Wife and I went for tandem flights here early in the morning. We got there early and were super rushed by Dotty to get in the van and get up to the launch point. This women needed a chill pill as she basically ruined the fun of it for us. For $ 380 for two people, they should be bending over backwards to make you feel welcome on their property but this lady was super rude.
We did meet Dexter once, he was super friendly, nice guy. Too bad he wasn’t filling Dotty’s role.
We got up to the launch point, which is fun in itself as it’s steep inclines the entire drive up in a huge van.
My pilot was a younger guy, said he had about 2 years experience. My wife’s had been doing it much longer, like 20. Mine let me pilot around a bit, hers did not even offer it. So I guess that’s hit or miss, maybe just ask if you can. Mine put us into a spin with some nice g’s, hers didn’t.
My landing sucked though as the chair was smacking the back of my knees and I nearly faceplanted. I asked my wife about her chair and she said it wasn’t hitting her knees. Not sure if that’s normal, but I surely wasn’t running anywhere with the chair digging into my knees when we landed!
Once we landed, Dotty again rushed us to grab our stuff out of the van and move out of the way for the new group going to the launch. No thanks for coming, take care, need directions, etc.
Maybe that lady was having a bad day, but I feel the trip was a rip-​off solely for the poor customer service. I’m glad I did it, pretty killer views from way up high, but I wouldn’t do it again. At least not with this company if Dotty still works there.

I would have given 5 stars but they didn’t let me launch from the top!
