Came in for. A after noon sandwich had the egg salad sandwich the guy at the front was friendly. Very blue collar new york style deli. They do take out which is great and slice their bread as needed so its super fresh. And menu looks good. Lots of old military pics are up. I enjoyed this place

Not a great choice for a meal, even for a sand which shop. The service was awful first off. The guy that took my order and payment was very short with me. The first thing I told him was that it was my first time to this restaurant and wasn’t sure what to order. He just gave me a blank look and almost seemed frustrated I couldn’t order quickly. After just choosing something I asked what came on the sand which and his answer was literally just repeating the name of the sand which I was attempting to order. I had to explain I wasn’t sure what toppings or condiments even came on the sand which to which he quickly responded«we only have onions and tomatoes and bread». Not exactly great or even half way good service. Lastly, the bread ended up being pretty good but not a great sand which and the potato salad definitely left something to be desired.

I was so pleased when I went here! The service is great and the food is delicious. I wish there were a few more options for adding extras to your sandwich, but that is ok. Everything is fresh and delicious. The best part though. The potato salad. it is soooo good!

Very kind, courteous customer service here. I would love to give this place five stars on account of it being a small business that is obviously trying. The place was very clean, and the prices were reasonable. Generally, my food was pretty bland though. I ordered a small Mesquite turkey sandwich with lettuce tomatoes onions, mayo, and mustard. I appreciate that the mustard was a brown mustard, not yellow. I ordered it on Jewish rye bread, one of two, the other being wheat, that they bake here on premises. The bread was actually pretty good. Good caraway seed flavor, and the crunchy crust. The ingredients are fresh, which I appreciate, but there was not much flavor to my sandwich. I appreciate that my side of coleslaw was Crunchy, and it wasn’t drenched in mayo. It was also homemade. However, here again, not much flavor. This is actually a 3 ½ star review, but on account of my wanting to support the business, I’ll bump it up on the rating.

Super good service, sandwiches and superb cheesecake. The sandwiches are stacked and made to feed a real man, even the small ¼ ones. Cheesecake was made fresh from a nice lady behind the counter. I had the roast beef with their horse radish sauce and it was great. Highly recommend if you’re passing through as I was.

The best sandwich shop in pueblo. Tastey red potato salad. Sandwiches piled high with good quality meats. Love the kosher pickels.

Very nice sandwhich shop. Geat pastrami, smoked in house. Potato salad has a citrus flavor and fresh herbs. Glad we found this place.

My wife ordered the ham and cheese and I ordered the corned beef Reuben. We both ordered the potato salad as a side. The Reuben was one of the best I have ever had and my wife said her sandwich was outstanding. The potato salad was simply the best both of us had ever had! The service was friendly and fast. This is our new sandwich shop! We will be back!

These sandwiches are AWESOME! The London broil and the chipotle gouda are my personal favorites. Their potato salad is unique and very delicious, and I do not like potato salad. Good bread, friendly people, and they genuinely appreciate your business. The only reason I didn’t give them five stars is because they forgot to put the cheese on my sandwich ALLTHREETIMES that I’ve been there so I had to go back and get it. I definitely recommend this place, just double check your cheese before you leave.

Clean sandwiches with a master sandwich maker at the helm. Get your fill of the legendary potato salad if you can… They have home made cheesecake made by the owners wife but ask ahead or call ahead to see if they have it that day. They offer healthy drink choices and soda is on the fountain if not. Pastrami is best in town. If you had a doubt this is the best deli around and it is KOSHER.

Oh my goodness! They are so good! The owner makes EVERYTHING himself, they load you up with tons of meat. And I mean tons! I’ve never met nicer people and some how they are cheaper than subway across the street??? Even though I’d be willing to pay double. If your in pueblo, schelp’s is a must.

Went to lunch at Schlep’s with a friend and it was just alright. They were out of the kind of bread that we wanted and only had this white bread that had really hard crust that both me and my friend peeled off. However, my London Broil sandwich was good and I did like that they use a lot of Boar’s Head meat and cheeses. There were also a lot of places to sit and we got our food pretty quickly. I will probably go back again to give it another try.

Just had a WONDERFUL corned beef sandwich to go… the service was great!!! I believe it was the owner who waited on me. very nice young man. Anyway, I will return here if I get back to Pueblo again. Oh and try the potato salad… never had any quite like it… A bit of lemon I think… by the third bite I was hooked!!!

Obviously Carla F. has no clue what she’s talking about. This is one of the best restaurants in Pueblo! Great food, and great people! If I could, I’d eat there every day. The Pueblo community has a jewel in this place. The Cerda family is awesome :)

Best Egg Salad I’ve ever had, hands down. Though, the price tag on glass bottled soda is steep. Still, did I mention the egg salad was excellent?!

The pastrami sandwich on their homemade Jewish rye bread was the best I’ve ever had. Their meats come from Brooklyn and the flavors are great. My wife had the egg salad on the kaiser roll and she said that it was very good. They also have some awesome looking meat and cheese trays from their full service deli. You can also get meats and cheeses by the pound.

Very fresh and tasty sandwiches! I had the oven roast turkey sandwich on rye bread with potato salad. The meat is boar’s head, the bread is made fresh in house, and the potato salad is also made fresh there. Sorry mom, but they have the best potato salad I’ve ever had. My husband had the special. Today it was egg salad sandwiches. Also made fresh and he also said it was excellent. They people working there are very friendly and polite.

Adequate little faux Jewish deli in a space that has had a string of sandwich joints flow through over the years. Had the pastrami on Rye. I know pastrami is supposed to be salty, but this was way too much. Good portions, but everything was about a dollar too expensive for what you got. The selection was rather limited, but they may still be building their menu. I will give them another shot sometime Pastrami on Rye + chips = $ 10.50
