This is a good, consistent Phở restaurant. The food is always hot and good — not the absolute best Phở I have ever had, but still very good. It is clean and the staff are polite and efficient. Wait times are reasonable. They were very nice about accommodating us when we came in late after a movie. We offered to leave because it was almost 9pm but they insisted that they could serve us still and they made our night a whole lot better!

This is worth a try if you are out here most likely visiting. I had Phở noodles and the waitress said there were no more ‘speen brouts’. I figured what that was quickly. I usually am not a fan of bean sprouts. Broth, noodles and meat was as good as any phở restaurant. So sad for the other visitors wanting the prior vegetarian restaurant.

Came in to try them today because of the new owner sign just to try feel them out. I was not disappointed! I am Vietnamese so I could tell the waitress is fairly new to America by the way she talked and took our order. The restaurant was fairly small but the food was superb, very authentic and delicious I was surprised by the amount of food they give you. Granted the prices are a little up there but I would still come back just for the food. Their menu has soo many entrees and most of every kind of Vietnamese food you could think of was in that menu I was really happy to see they don’t only serve phở but served all the best kinds of Vietnamese entrees I love. They are a small family run business I enjoyed the fast service, our food was out very quick I was impressed by that. There are not many vietnamese restaurants let only phở restaurants in Pueblo so I’m glad I found them a little piece of home away from home.

Update: this place has new owners. They’re super friendly, but I get the sense they’re new to the restaurant business. Plus, the prices shot way up. Still great Phở — but 2x more than it was!

It is nice having a Phở place in Pueblo, and this one is just off the Interstate and is easy to get to. Phở Basil has a more extensive menu than I expected for a small hole-in-the-wall. I had the traditional rare beef phở and was very happy with the flavor, quality and quantity. Like most phở places, a ‘small’ is surprisingly large. The service was quick and friendly. Phở Basil has recently undergone a change in ownership. While I was there several local folks dropped by to pick up carry-out, and commented to the staff how grateful they were the shop is still open. The seating area is very small, but the turn-over is pretty quick. My wife and I were there for a quick bite before a movie, and we were in and out in plenty of time. I’ll be back!

Excellent veggie phở option. Come here once a week now. Owned and operated by Vietnamese family. Ask for vegetable broth for a full vegan option. Highly recommended. 5 stars Update 10⁄15 — They recently underwent a change in ownership. Like another reviewer mentioned I also used to get the veggie Phở. It was the best I ever had after living in three major cities. I went back after the change, and I don’t think the Phở I got was vegetarian, but still made with beef broth. I wish I could think the previous management for the great food. We also tried a veggie noodle dish. It felt like typical Asian fast food, and was a bit bland. I will probably go back and try one of the other dishes again to give them a second chance.

I used to love this place! My mom and I ordered vegetarian phở and my little bro ordered off the small kids menu. We all loved our regular meals and were often very excited to eat here. Today we walked in, and there was a new menu, new table layout, and new workers. No more vegetarian phở, and no kids menu. We all walked out very disappointed. I wish I could find the other people and thank them for feeding us such wonderful food in the past. :(

I gave this place two opportunities: once to see how they stacked up to pho50 in pueblo west. The first time I was really disappointed, the second time to see if they could redeem themselves. They let me down both times in amazing fashion. The place is small and not a place for aesthetic, which means the food should be the redeeming factor. Here it is not. I ordered bahn mi both times. Normally the bread should be crisp, but should have some give and shouldn’t be rock hard. Both times the bread tasted like it had been left out for a day, making it stale past the point of being okay. Once you get into the sandwich, the contents are even more lackluster. The meat is woefully under portioned and the bread to content ratio is a joke. I attempted to remedy that today by ordering one with extra meat. WRONG. The only thing I got was a 2.00 up charge for absolutely nothing! No extra meat, and not even enough in it to make it enjoyable. They don’t put any type of condiment, vinegar sauce, or anything that would ease this dry sandwich on it’s way down your throat. Terrible. On top of it all what little meats there was is low quality and now seasoned at all. It was like it was the discarded scraps from a butchered steak. Horrible. I also ordered the lo mein, hoping to hedge my bets and hold out for something good. Thinking safely, I asked for extra meat as well, and the front guy couldn’t seem to grasp I wanted lo mien with shrimp and chicken, no pork, no beef. I still got up charged 2.00 and the shrimp and chicken in it? Tasteless and not in anything anyone could call extra. The shrimp was I by and over cooked, the chicken(which I was charged 2.00 for) didn’t amount to more than 3 or four small pieces of gristly tough meat. There weren’t hardly any veggies and he majority was dry, over salted noodles. All this cost over 20.00 and I left a tip for a to go order. Don’t waste your time or money here. Unless you have zero standards and money to burn. Do yourself a favor and drive 12 min to p west off Purcell, take a left and go to pho50. The place is nicer, the food is better, they don’t skimp on the meat, comparable prices, and they have boba tea. Never again. Never again will I waste my time with this scam masquerading as a restaurant.

There was only one server and he took a little bit to get our order. I ordered the seafood phở and it was a bit off for me. It wasn’t bad but it was not fantastic for me. To be honest, I am unsure if I will come back.

Unbelievably delicious and wonderful service. I kept saying to myself, «I wish my husband were here for this!» When the food is so good it actually makes you miss the folks you love most, you know you’ve found something special. Don’t miss it!

Very good phở for Pueblo. Fixings and bean sprouts were very fresh and broth not watered down, which happens in the evening. Very clear and strained broth. Much better than Kuans Kitchen version.

Very happy with my meal. I ordered the large phở. This large was large indeed. The main reason I order a large is not that I want all that broth, it is that I want more noodles and things. At some places the large does have a little bit more contents along with more broth, but here they really load it up. I was great. I will return.

$ 5 lunch special! Need I say more? Alright I will. The owner is a feisty lady, but is great. She might come across as grouchy, but don’t let that stop you from enjoying a good bowl of Phở at a great price in a quiet setting. I prefer the Phở over the noodle bowls.

Down in Pueblo for work, rainy day and in between meetings, Phở sounded great. My GPS lead me to Phở Basil and it is awesome. Small, quaint, good service and fabulous Phở! It’s must visit again spot next time I am down south.

We’re Vietnamese and we’re biking across the country and ended up in Pueblo last night and had mad cravings for Phở. We found that most Phở restaurants are in Colorado Springs but found this one on the edge of town. Its very small and reminiscent of some of the small Phở places back at home in Orange County, California. The hostess/owner was super sweet and very attentive. The four of us ordered: 2 large phở ga(chicken), 1 large phở dac biet(the«special», it has three different types of beef), and 1 small phở tai nam(two different types of beef). We got a plate of the essentials: lemons, bean sprouts, basil, cilantro, jalepenos. She even brough out extra jalepenos and lemons since we asked for it. The service was quick and we got our food fast. It definitely hit the spot! The broth was soo good. The nam slice of beef was a little dry, though. The large phở bowl was much larger than we were used to back in Southern California, but it was perfect because we were so hungry after biking from Canon City. We were disappointed there was no che(traditional Vietnamese dessert) since we were craving it but the hostess said there’s not enough demand here for that. So, instead, we opted for their boba. We ordered the avocado boba milkshake and the almond boba milkshake. The boba itself wasnt great but the milkshake was really good. We were expecting the avocado one to be blended avocado but even though it wasn’t, it was still delicious! We would come back and so should you! –We came back again the next evening and got the rice noodle bowls and they were pretty awesome too! Definitely ask for their red chili peppers if you like some spice! The thai tea was so good.
