Old Chicago Pizza & Taproom

Went there for the first time last night when compared to old Chicago’s in bigger cities I was surprised that it was so small. Had a 25 minute wait. The waitress was wonderful and the food was good.

We arrived with a party of 3 and had to wait. The hostess said it would be about 15 minutes. Turned out to be more like 45. We were seated and waited another 10 minutes to be helped. While we were waiting we saw 2 tables get irritated, ask for managers, and leave. The place was about ¾ full, didn’t understand why we waited so long. Server finally took drink order and ordered appetizer. Watched more and more tables get frustrated with service and managers not doing much. Waited another 30 minutes, pizza came out, no appetizer. Told the manager we didn’t want appetizer anymore and please take it off the bill. He brought the appetizer out anyway, after it had been sitting there for 30 minutes, and comped it. Pizza was average, service was horrible (never got our drinks refilled!), atmosphere was stressful! Probably won’t go back.

Good hot food. Ample menu. Friendly wait staff. The beer is real good and cold. A little generic environment.

Overrated and the service is not what I’ve experienced in other cities! I’d say train your wait staff better! Although I know one individual that knocks it out the park, the diamond in the oh so rough Drew! He’s the only reason I’d visit again. Other than that?! SKIP IT!

I love Old Chicago. But not this one. The customer service is awful. We waiting 45 minutes for a table, 15 minutes to get drinks, and then another 30 to get out meal. After taking home my leftovers, I found a hear baked into my calzone. I also had a friend who had a fly in his beer. The manager told him to expect that since the doors were open and wasn’t offering to replace it. Needles to say I won’t be returning. I will make the drive up to Colorado Springs if I ever have a crazing for OC again. This is sad because Pueblo needed some good places to eat.

Decent food. I think it was our servers first time serving in a restaurant. First time ever I think! Crappy service. I’ll visit once more before I’d completely cross it off my list.

Really horrid service… Which is really bad since Pueblo, CO NEEDS a good restaurant. Mass chaos in being sat (we were a party of 2). Went through several menus to get one that wasn’t dirty. Dirty appetizer plates. Took forever to be served. Never asked if wanted a refill. Then took forever to get check… Which we were charged for an extra drink. Manager came over and said «sorry you had a dirty plate» and walked away. Food was good… As we love OC’s. Will think twice about going here again though.

So if there were an option for no stars that’s what they would receive. Walked in today for the first time and there were several customers waiting for a table. There were at least 5 empty that I could see i was given a time of 10 to fifteen minutes wait for a table. I waited and waited the empty tables remained empty. More people arrived and the tables remained empty. There were 4 hosts doing nothing a manager *keith) walked up and acknowledged no one still nobody was sat. I asked to speak to the manager after 20 minutes of waiting for a table. When he arrived he was full of excuses but nothing that made sense. I will definitely not go back. Keith you should probably look for a career that better fits your personality. Customer service is definitely not where you should be! As a manager if you see customers waiting more than. 15 min and you have empty tables while you stand there chatting with servers the problem is YOU!!!

My wife and I play a game every time we are driving in I-​25, we have to guess how full the car park is at Old Chicago. It is always so full! We went early on a Friday afternoon trying to beat the rush. Well I do not know if it is possible! It is so popular. We were able to pick through happy hour menu items which were well priced. Our server was great and he made his mission to help me find a beer I enjoyed by using a lot of tasting. Overall if you do not mind a very busy setting it is good. A little pricey but there is a lot of variety especially if you are a beer drinker.

Our waitress was great. Ill start with that. My family and I have been here for an hour. Took 15 min to seat us. 15 min just to get a drink order. Didn’t see the waitress for another 25 min. Because someone was busy chewing her out in the kitchen. And we are STILL waiting for food. The manager walked by once and disappeared. Finally came back and She got nasty with another server for asking a question. I couldn’t believe it. I’ll be writing the corporate office.
