Poorly managed right now. No towels were even clean for the pool and young kids seem to maintain the place with little idea as to what is going on. No tissue in the bathroom and unkept pool area. Whoever decided to tile the pool area isn’t very smart as kids were slipping and falling. Breakfast was mediocre. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. I’ve stayed at much better for less

After reading several ehh reviews, we decided to give this HIE a chance. Staff welcomed us with a welcome bag, room was super clean and extra large, and breakfast was great. We stayed two nights visiting family and was greeted each time we came back in. We definitely will stay there again the next time we go back.

This Holiday Inn is located on the far left hand side of a street full of two other hotels, a Denny’s and an Italian restaurant called Mia’s. They do offer truck parking with a dirt lot out front(only one truck can fit comfortably, though) and in the back. They do NOT offer a trucker discount. It is very easy access off of the highway and has a Walmart three miles down the road. We were pleasantly surprised when we walked in and saw that they had decorated completely for Valentine’s Day. They were even giving out small treats. They have guest laundry with two washers and two dryers. All are pretty new and worked well. They also offer detergent, fabric softener and dryer sheets with change. The free breakfast was actually pretty good. They offered omelets(pre-made and tasted a bit like cardboard), sausage, biscuits(no gravy!), muffins, bagels, toast, waffles, fruit(bananas and oranges), chocolate and regular milk, coffee and tea! They had plenty of tables and had flat-screens broadcasting the news. The beds were nice and firm, but comfortable. They include 5 pillows. The air conditioner worked very well and kept us extremely cool(not like we needed it in February). The room came with a desk and rolling chair, a reading chair with ottoman, microwave, and a mini refirgerator. There was no HBO even though it was advertised and the channel selection was awful. We had about 23 channels and three of those didn’t work. We were also not able to connect our Xbox 360 because there were no HDMI hookups in the back. The shower had great water pressure but like the other reviewer said, the shower curtain issue made a huge mess on the floor. WIFI was very fast and we had five bars our entire stay. Friendly staff, good breakfast, comfortable beds and stores and restaurants within driving distance will have us returning the next time we’re in Pryor Creek. Skip Mia’s next door. Very expensive!

You probably came here because you are working as a contractor at a plant or because you just so happen to like living in a small town. Good luck finding this place. As of Sept 9, 2011, Google map can not find where this hotel is. When I used Unilocal to «View map» it couldn’t located it. The hotel is pretty small and there are only four floors. It comes with the standard gym(with free weights), pool, computer room, and free express breakfast. Oh, and free cookies at the front desk! The service here is OK. I rather not talk about it now until I leave this joint… so I’ll come back to it later. My room is also faced next to the busy road and I can hear cars always passing by. It’s not too bad though, its about the same noise level as my AC unit. But what is kind of loud is when the train passes by and uses it’s horns. This happened about three times last night and woke me up each time. It is almost a daily occurrence but you get used to it. Walmart is only about 3 – 4 miles down the same road. Same goes for McDonalds, Taco Bell, Subways, Carls Jr., and some other restaurants. There is also an Amish Cheese shop close by so that’s something a little interesting to check out. Overall, considering how small and old this town is you probably aren’t going to find any better Hotel near here. There is a Comfort Inn next store but not sure how that place is. QUICKNOTES: — The WIFI is SLOW and takes a long time to connect. It takes me about 10 – 15 seconds just to log into my mail box.(Update: during low occupancy the internet speed isnt as bad. When I was here the speed was measured at 5 Kbps) — The scrambled eggs have a Greek yogurt texture and doesn’t taste like scrambled eggs. It practically melts in your mouth. I think its because it is from a powder. — The shower curtains are design so that the bottom fold tries to fall out of the shower causing water leak on the floor. This is because the tub is rectangular and the curtain hanger is curved outward. — The TV is not HD and the remote is not responsive. There is also no HBO(yet they provide an HBO pamphlet) — The water spa has been out for probably over two weeks.(*Update: The water spa has been out for over a month since I have been there. The only fix they put was a new sign that says it’s broken) — A train passes by and sounds it’s horn every night and will wake you up — The road is not on a map(but not too hard to find either).
