Billy Sims Barbecue

Absolutely horrible! Service was awful! Guy behind counter informed us they were about to close, even though it was a hour early. Then the workers had an attitude the whole time they took our order. My ribs were 1 ½ inches long if that, the end piece that most places would throw away and not serve. Then my corn on the cob was so old and just soggy and mush on the cob. My kids mac and cheese was all smashed up and looked like a pile of cheesy mush. I was so disappointed and sick that I paid over $ 50 for that and to be treated that way! We will never go back to this location ever!!!

Fantastic ribs! Every Tuesday is all u can eat ribs and that’s where u can find me at almost every Tuesday. I love their ribs. Super tasty and tender. The baked potato salad is great. Love me some Billy Sims. Yummy!

The food was very good.
Now the bad news… Recently while spending the night in Pryor Oklahoma my son and I decided to try the Billy Sims in Pryor. I had never been to a Billy Sims before, but it is a successful chain in Oklahoma. I had been told many great things about the food.
This branch is in a small strip mall that is not maintained well, so Billy Sims was ice skating up hill for me already. Four men where milling around right in front of the door, and as we walked in it became obvious that one of the men worked there. He turned out to be the manager, and as he passed us to get behind the counter we received a quick apology. Food is ordered and served cafeteria style. This was a 6pm visit on a Sunday night, so there were maybe two other tables with folks in the restaurant, and there was always someone at the drive through.
It looked like there was only the manager and one other fellow, but the manager seemed to be a one man army. He kept calling us «Bubba»
My son asked for the turkey and the manager said he was sold out of turkey, telling us that they had been busy and he could not keep the smoker stocked.
We both then ordered the pulled pork, I ordered the baked BBQ beans and coleslaw with my pork but as I walked further he had to scrape the bottom of the beans to get my serving, then asked the other guy to «nuke them». We then paid for our food and sat down. The place is decorated with Billy Sims pictures and references, that was ok.
However there was trash on the floor, tables (including ours) that needed to be bused.
The food was great, no question some very tasty BBQ!
Once we were finished we took our trays to the trash can, but it was over filled.
I have been hard on BBQ joints lately, but frankly most can do better in their appearance. We agreed that we would go to another Billy Sims, but not this location again.
