It was a little busy tonight around 7pm three lanes open but luckily one more opened as soon as I got into line so I got out quick. The staff were friendly and items were easy to find and nothing oddly placed. Plus! It looked clean too unlike some I’ve been too. I’d recommend :)

I stopped here recently to buy some snacks. Happy to see they have a formal chip/snack isle and their produce section looked fresh and tasty. I bought some chips and soda and was on my way. Shelves were stocked and well-organized. Isles were clear and swept. Staff was polite to me. Parking lot was easy to navigate. Overall a pleasant experience.

Those are tomatoes y’all.aren’t they gorgeous! I love that Safeway takes my Von’s Card, I LOVE«$ 5.00 Friday», love the service I get from the folks stocking the shelves, chopping the meat and especially at the registers! Thanks Prunedalians!!!

I’ve been shopping at this store for 7 years and I’ve always thought it was an «ok» store, but recently this place has been going down hill. Customer service is lacking when you check out, lines are always very long to check out, and their produce does not look very fresh.

Subpar to say the least. They are ALWAYS out of something we need. Recently it was yellow potatoes. The lines are too long and they rarely have help up front. And the checkers are soooooo painfully slow. The bakery cake decorators Are horrible. I was trained as a decorator at Nob Hill and if I put some of the same stuff out I would have been fired. I ordered one soccer ball cake. Easy enough and it didn’t look like a soccer ball at all.

This store is a joke! It’s consistently under-staffed. I always hear a checker calling over the loudspeaker for more checkers which falls on def ears. The staff doesn’t seem to be the friendliest. It appears that a lot of them are pretty miserable. The store for the most part is pretty clean. The selection of products is just ok. Based on where the store is located, you won’t find fresh lobster or caviar here. The produce department could use some help. It’s constantly out of product and you really need to watch the dates on some of the produce that comes in packages. I have on a number of occasions seen outdated product on their shelves. The staff in that department isn’t all that friendly either. All in all there isn’t much of a choice of grocery stores in Prunedale and Safeway knows it. If you can go elsewhere, you should.

To bad we don’t have a really good super market in Prunetucky, so I’ll have to go to this over priced mega long line store. Don’t go there if you can wait and go to a better-faster-cheaper grocery store.

This is for our experience with Michelle in the«Florist Dept ». She helped us pick out some flowers and made an excellent bouquet… Thanks Michelle for your excellent customer experience.

Safeway store at mouth of Carmel Valley is much better and has better bargains. Both stores do well by hiring handicapped staff for cleaning, packing and cheerful service. Prunedale store needs self checkout.

This place does not impress me. The sales associates are not engaging when I start conversation with them. Appears the team is focused on process rather than customer service.

The safeway in prunedale has great deals and prices. The customer service has been excellent every time I have gone there. What more is there to say?

Can’t beat the service and the selection of items at this store. AND if they don’t have it, they will order it for you!

Here’s our little guilty pleasure. Friday’s they have $ 5 pizza. So, we bring it home, add some veggies, make some pesto and drizzle it on top. Stick it in the oven for 15 min or so. And, presto. Awesome homemade pizza, well sort of. LOL!

Deli sandwich with a cup of hot soup is perfect on a cold rainy day. Thank you so much for a wonderful lunch. The soups are really tasty. Will see you again!

This store is centrally located for those living in Prunedale. It is right off highway 101. The store is always clean and the staff is always friendly. the prices are decent, there are some other grocery stores in other cities that are cheaper, but for the Prunedale area it is the best. The only problem I have with this location is in the evening they only have 1 or regular lane and 1 express lane open, occasionally they will open another one up. This causes long lines and long waits. this location does have a small star bucks inside and has a great deli department. The parking is great. They also have a Wells Fargo inside. I have never had a problem with expired food or poor quality of items at this location. Over all this is one of the better Safeway’s I have been to.

I have been shopping at this Safeway weekly ever since they opened and I am sure I have spent thousands of dollars here so I feel qualified to write this review. This Safeway is convenient to my home and that is why I shop here even though the prices are a little high. They have a wide variety of items. The personnel in the produce, meat, and deli departments are great. My gripe is when I get to the check out. FIrst of all, it isn’t helpful to be asked if I found everything if you don’t have an answer for me if I say«no I didn’t». So, I just lie and say«yes». Secondly, I wish, wish, wish that they would properly train their baggers how to bag the groceries. More counties are getting away from plastic bags and I always bring my own but most of the baggers don’t seem to have any idea how to use these. They seem to be so used to the ease of the plastic bags. With mine, all the heavy things are put in one bag and all the light things are in another. If I should have a third bag, they don’t use it and stuff it(empty) into one of the other bags(!!) This aggravates me to no end because they sell those bags in their store. I only know of one bagger and checker that seem to know how to do this properly(I wish I could remember their names to give them credit here.) The only other supermarket in Prunedale is Super Max. They don’t have as wide a selection of items as Safeway does, but their baggers always seem to know how to bag the groceries properly.
