today friday october 25th2012 i receive a call from a gentleman from monterey finacial, he was exteamly super rude, the phone call cought me by surprize, stating that my account was just give to them and before my credit got affected he said” i suggest you pay it”, i said what, hold on! he said well how do you want to pay it today! i tried to explain and get more deatils of what was going on but he simply kept taliking and giving me sarcastic. i said i would like to talk it over with my exwife to find out what had happend, he repplied why talk it over with her, just pay it and get it over with… i said no… i need to call you back, he said no i need you to make some kind of payment or payment agreement… if you dont have money i suggest for you to get a loan some where so yuo can pay us today… i simply hung up the telephone… this has got to stop, i am going thru some real tough times and if you want to get a FN dollar from me you better be nice and allowed people to explain and see what their options are!!!

These people are horrible. I have never dealt with such rude people in my life. Here is the story. FOUR years ago, I bought a luminesse airbrush machine. I actually do remember ordering and receiving it. It was a piece of junk. I used it for maybe a month and threw it away but that is neither here nor there. I got a credit monitoring alert FOUR years later saying I had a collection account submitted. It was from Monterey Financial. After speaking with them, they said they had attempted to contact me via phone and mail. Whether that is true or not, I have no idea as they were using my old address and number. Mind you, this is the first I heard of it either from the Luminesse Air company or the collection agency. I ended up paying it. I have perfect credit and will always pay of I owe if I KNOW about it. That’s not the story here. The story here is how rude, condescending, and predatory these people are. I literally have never been spoken to so badly in my entire life and that’s saying a lot. A representative named Melanie was the worst but they were all horrible. I was told not to «cop an attitude,» that I was a bad person who defaulted on debt. I hope whatever small percentage they get by recovering this debt is worth all their nastiness. No one deserves to be treated this way! There are laws governing credit collections agencies. If you have had a similar experience, I encourage you to contact the BBB and all applicable Federal agencies(google it). No one deserves to be treated this way regardless of the situation.

I received a call in February 2012 from Amy who was extremely rude and sarcastic. I then spoke to her supervisor Carla who said she would speak to Amy about her misconduct. However, I received another call from Amy on April 21, 2012 at 11:18AM. Although Amy was calling to collect money owed, she still was very rude. I called back to speak to a supervisor when Matthew talked to me in the most rude fashion ever. Matthew persisted in answering my questions in a very loud voice. He also tried to hang up the phone while I was talking twice. Being in the US Army, I have built my patience therefore I did not return the rude attitude over the phone to the employees. These employees belittled me over the phone which is far from in their job description. I understand when collecting a debt, that employees should be strong-minded and well trained, but definitely not as rude as Amy and Matthew. To a certain point, the customer should be given respect. I feel their behavior was very inappropriate and unprofessional and I am sure anyone would feel the same should they listen to the calls that were recorded. I will be going to every extent to make this matter known to all. It was very unacceptable and rude.
