Best Labor & delivery hands down! The NICU is the best! Everyone is super helpful and kind. We enjoyed our 39 day stay here. :)

I’m generally not a fan of this hospital, but I’ve had a mix of experiences that warrants the 3 star. The ER, avoid like the plague. The out patient services are the best around. The quality of doctors they have are amazing but the attitude of many doctors is just as amazing, but in a negative way. They do have the highest tech, latest and greatest stuff in Utah County, but all the equipment in the world means nothing if patient care isn’t a priority. I’ve had some surgeries here, ended up on the 4th floor, 4 times. Some of my visits were great experiences with a staff that genuinely cared and looked out for their patients. Some of my visits, I really felt like they didn’t even know I was in the room. For example, last visit my bed was stuck in the sitting position. The nurse and tech couldn’t figure out how to get it moved, said it was locked in place and left it at that. Very frustrating that I couldn’t lay down. I voiced my concern a number of times to no avail. Finally, I had a visitor look at the logo on the foot of the bed, tell me what brand the bed was and I Googled how to unlock it. Which I did. But really, it should have come to that. I guess it just depends on the team you get. Like I said, some were amazing, others just need to quit their jobs because they have no passion for it any more. The ER can be way to busy and seems understaffed often. Not necessarily short on techs or nurses but on doctors. Waiting hours to see a doctor is ridiculous. Then, when the doc does come to actually see you, he/she is so busy that it’s in and out, your a chart number, nothing more and no real patient care happens. My profession gets me involved in a lot of emergency rooms and this is not one I’d choose for me or my family. The hospital is beautiful and growing, but I question their use of money to do this. A hospital needs to be functional and not an art gallery. For a non-profit origination, they charge a ton. And, where IHC owns it’s own insurance company, seems like a conflict of interest. The cafeteria is great, cheap and quick. Great for visitors and family to eat at while there. Parking is easy in the garage and they have valet parking available too.

Clean building, polite staff and good Café. Almost lets you forget you’re at a hospital.

My wife had very serious complications with her pregnancy and our daughter was born 10 weeks too early. We had a two month stay in the Newborn ICU. I cannot be more happy with the facilities themselves and appreciative for the quality of care, helpfulness and knowledge of the staff at UVRMC’s NICU, Labor & Delivery, etc. My wife and daughter are both healthy and happy and that’s proof of the competency and care of the Utah Valley Regional. I’d recommend it to anyone.

A big fan of the services, doctors and personnel I’ve dealt with. Hate, Hate, Hate the business practices compared to places like U of U health services. I droned on about that in other reviews of IHC medical facilities. They aren’t worth the time to do additional rants.

Very disappointed with their high risk maternity center. The nurses didn’t seem to know what they were doing, took 3.5 hours to do two simple tests that take us 30 minutes at orem community, and charged us for services we didn’t receive. Won’t be going here for fetal/maternal care anymore.

I am a cancer patient and regularly go to the Utah Cancer Clinic in the lobby of the hospital. This hospital is always clean, well staffed, and the volunteers are very helpful. The pharmacy, physicians tower, and entirety of the hospital staff(at least the ones I interacted with) were knowledgeable, helpful, and respectful. This place is much better than The TImpanogos Hospital in American Fork.

I’ve been to many hospitals throughout Utah and Salt Lake counties. The ER nurses and doctors here are so kind and listened to all of our concerns. They have setup a game plan for helping us get out of here as quickly as possible. I am truly impressed and recommend this ER to everyone.
