This business no longer exists :(It’s an ice cream shop now. We found out the hard way after Sam Hawk said it would be an hour wait… for anything…7pm on a Monday night.

Great Korean food. Tofu and potato soup, beef bulgogi, glass noodles with beef, Korean pancake, it is all great. Service is «non traditional» but not really in a bad way. Just in a very family run restaurant type of way. Everyone is very friendly and the service is fast and consistent. We live up in SLC, but make it down to Provo every few months, mostlymonths mostly just for Spicy Korea.

I would eat here for lunch every single day. Good prices and excellent food. Service is as to be expected. If you need something, you should ask for it. I absolutely love the Korean food and this place delivers.

So good! I would defiantly come back and I’m a super picky foodie! The hot bowl with the egg was amazing!

I like Sam Hawk, Jang Soo Jan or Myung Ga better… The side-dish is rather«unusual» with the joined dish serving. The taste is OK but doesn’t really taste«Korean», instead it taste like small portion of salad. The bulgogi is OK, similarly for the Spicy Tofu Soup. I ordered my usual favorite, which is Spicy Squid, but unfortunately the Squid is overcook leading to its being very«chewy». The good thing is on the generosity of the side dish… they are truly larger than normal Korean side dishes.

The food is great. I had the barbecued pork(I don’t remember the Korean name) and it was delicious and the service was fast. Overall, it is a little pricey, but I had one of their lunch specials and it was very reasonable. It’s a nice place. My friend and I had never been so we thought we’d try it out and we ended up talking there for over 5 hours(no joke). Obviously, we enjoyed the atmosphere because we were basically there all day. I’ll definitely be going again.

I had the squid samgyopsal. I liked the taste, but it wasn’t anything amazing. I feel that the squid was way over cooked and therefore really rubbery. The check was brought to us within the first five minutes of getting our food. My sis had some breaded chicken dish and it was too dry. I loved the side dishes the most. A table next to us was saying that they wouldn’t be leaving a tip because the server became upset when they asked for more kimchi. I’m not hard to please, but I am definitely not coming back:/

I really enjoyed my experience here! The atmosphere was very nice, clean restaurant, excellent service. My friend and I were the only white people there at the time so it felt very authentic haha. But seriously, the food was delicious and they served us very quickly, I’ll definitely be returning!

Absolutely delicious. I only ever get the bibimbap in the hot stone bowl– its the freshest and most generous portion of bibimbap I’ve found at any Korean place in Salt Lake or Provo. Spicy Corea is generous with the sides as well, plenty of kimchi, and lots of those delicious saucy-potato things. You can’t beat the location either.

I went first and tried their BBQ and it wasn’t anything special. But I went the next time and got soups. They were soooo good. The best in town. Very authentic and traditional Korean. Don’t get their sweet and sour pork.

We poor Americans are such saps when it comes to taste. I am a regular white dude that has lived all over the world sampling the different flavors. Korean food for most is spit down the middle when it comes to taste. Everybody loves Bulgogi but can not stand the Kimshi. Like allot of Asian food the rule of 3 must been done. Eat it 3 times of different trips and you will learn to love it. Spicy Korea is a gem hidden just outside downtown Provo. With the freshest meats and veggies you can find I can always tip my hat to this restaurant. I like the spicy bulgogi and I always get as much kimshi as I can. For about 10 bucks I can chow down at a very peaceful setting and not break the bank. I love me some Spicy Corea.

I love all types of Asian food and for me Korean food is hard to find. I usually go to Sam’s Hawk in Provo. But I went to this place for the first time last month and was awesome. The prices are decent the place is huge so seating has never been an issue for me and my buddies. Only issue is parking that’s why I didn’t give it a 5 star rating. Great place if you are in the mood for Korean food.

Good food, but pretty pricey. Their bulgogi was okay, and their samgyopsal was pretty good. The side dishes/panchan that they gave(I had to ask for it and the server was surprised that I wanted it…) was sub par. In general, the serving size of every dish is alright. Service definitely sucks… Even when you are the only people there. It took about 40mins to get our food. 20mins for the side dishes(after requesting it). If you’re wanting Korean food and are too reluctant to drive, this place is okay. However, I’d much rather take the drive to Myung Ga up in salt lake county for quality Korean food and service.

Growing up in a half korean family, I’d say that I know korean food better than the average person. This place delivers! Every time my Korean mother comes down for a visit I bring her here, she always enjoys it. If you’re new to korean cuisine, I recommend the beef bulgogi, it’s a pretty accessible dish for those with more simple palates. I’m a big fan of the stone bowl bibimbap, old school korean comfort food in my book! And the squid, I swear that koreans have tapped the secret into well cooked squid. As with most korean places, the service can feel a bit scattered and informal, but I find that to be part of the charm. I’ve been here several times, sometimes on a quiet date other times with a big group and they’ve yet to disappoint. Definitely my preferred korean restaurant in the area.

The food wasn’t bad, but it did not sit well over the next 12 hours. The staff was nice, but I probably wouldn’t go again. For someone that hasn’t eaten very much Korean food, I would say it wasn’t the greatest food experience.

Their Korean food was so far so good, the service was really SLOW, and I will never try their dessert again. I ordered the Adzuki bean sherbet that costs about $ 7. The portion is small and it looks totally different from the picture on the menu. We even asked the server to make sure the dessert we had was the one we ordered. The server said yes, but she didn’t think something was wrong. The ice-cream on top tasted good, other than that, this dessert is tasteless, and is totally different from what we expected. DON’T EVER trust the picture on their menu I guess.

Authentic? I don’t know. Our server was Asian, but you can say that of anyone in the world and be right half the time. What I do know is that at noon parking was rare and precious. I walked a long way, and order the lunch special because it’s special. 12:30 Lunch arrived. It was good. 1:00 Left the establishment. All was well. 2:00 I burped kimchi. 3:00 That wasn’t a meal, it was a relationship 4:00 Please kill me 5:00 Lunch fumes nearly killed my wife 6:00 Cover Korean food with dinner 7:00 Kimchi reasserts itself. 8:00 I’ll NEVER go there again! Next day 10:00AM … haunting, but tasty.

I was visiting Provo and craved some korean soup and found this place. When I walked in there was only 1 table that was occupied by a family and all the other tables were empty. But it being summer and all the BYU college kids gone, I guess what can you expect? I ordered the Beef Short Rib soup and it lived up to what I was craving. It was hot, tasty, and wholesome. It came with some panchan or side dishes, but not a whole lot like I’ve had at other korean restaurants. They had the regular dishes like the korean bbq stuff but I didn’t try it. It was pretty cheap, my soup was only $ 7 and it came with all the side dishes. Oh and this place used to be called«Taste of Seoul» because their green awning still says that but I guess they changed their name. I’d definitely eat here again.
