I’m not sure why the newer review from 2016 isn’t included. This site is wonderful and family first! You want to keep in mind that it is run and maintained completely by volunteers so don’t expect slick or polished. This isn’t Colonial Williamsburg! The site has a wealth of historical buildings and accessories to view close up, and the volunteer docents and artisans bring the place alive. Look them up on Facebook to learn about upcoming events! And, no, you’re not going to get recommendations for pubs and happy hours. What was that guy thinking? If he had so thoroughly researched the history of the area he’d have been aware that ‘such things’ are not particularly noteworthy to most visitors.

After thoroughly researching Provo-Utah’s history, I was thrilled to want to go here. After all, in my research, I found this museum is allegedly haunted. So I looked forward to visiting it my whole vacation. However, when I got there, they were closed. Despite what their website posts as hours and days open, they have apparently changed around their hours without caring to update their website’s information. This is BADNEWS for tourism, as cultural/historical tourists such as myself, drive hundreds of miles to see Utah’s culture. But if you hit this museum and it’s closed, you will find NOOTHER small regional, non-university museums in the area: WTF? Worse still, was their visitors’ center. While manned by an amicable woman, she was completely CLUELESS about area places to visit. I was shocked she couldn’t suggest any bookstores, pubs, happy hours. A fountain of useless information. I will not be back to Provo anytime soon. They must not take cultural tourism seriously. A complete«F» rating.
