Sometimes their food is over cooked but overall it’s pretty good food and a nice location! They do a nice job of keeping it clean. Sometimes the people taking your orders are a little crabby, but I would be too if I had to work there watching all the student athletes parading by having a good time and go to school full time.

This is perhaps the coolest place to eat on campus. It has pretty good food and the prices are bearable. It’s cool to see so many athletes strutting around and you can watch sports. I watched many a game in here with friends. It’s really not an exceptional place, but it was never really that crowded, so we made it our own. I almost wish sometimes that it was more popular, because I think that would have added to the atmosphere. Overall, though, I never had a negative experience here.

I doubt there are many on-campus restaurants that can compare with Legends Grille. With a reasonably priced menu that’s part sports bar and part health club, this a great place to indulge a healthy appetite. The place is decorated with BYU memorabilia and flat screen TVs. A lot of Cougar athletes and coaches eat here, so every now and then you run into someone famous. They feature a wide variety of sandwiches, hearth-baked pizzas, burgers, pastas and salads – most with a selection of freshly grilled meats. The entrees come with a delicious choice of side dishes featuring comfort foods like mac & cheese or loaded mashed potatoes, or healthy picks like fruit or veggies. I ordered the San Francisco Melt with mac & cheese($ 6.99)– it was a big sandwich with beef brisket, grilled Anaheim chilies, chipotle mayonnaise, and melted cheddar cheese. The brisket was cooked to perfection and the Anaheim chili was sooooo good: just the right amount of heat and loaded with rich flavor. The mac & cheese was clearly made from scratch and tasted like something you’d get from a Southern diner. Family members enjoyed the Barbecue Pulled Pork($ 6.99) and the cheese burger. Their pasta with freshly grilled sausage looked really good – I will try this next time. I was also impressed with their hearth-baked pizzas; many students were enjoying these around us and I’ll have to try one soon.

I’d always had the BBQ wings on the past, but the last time I came, they were dry & over-cooked. Went with the San Francisco melt this time and was not disappointed. Good portion for lunch too. Too bad it’ll be a while before I forget those last wings I had.

Good food. I mainly just get the sandwiches. It’s a little bit pricey though for a regular lunch place for a poor grad student. Good atmosphere and they always have ESPN going on the flat screens. If you are the type that gets all giddy when you see a red shirt or second string BYU athlete, then this is the place for you.

Off-campus, I would probably give this place a 4 star rating. But since I’m stuck on BYU’s campus most of the day, I got really fed up of the weak dining options… until I found Legends Grille. Everywhere else, you feel like you get adequate-ish food for way too much money. Legends is fun because: 1) ESPN 2) You get to play«Can I name that Samoan without his football jersey on?»(It’s in the Student Athlete Building, or STAB(as I call it) so you see athletes going by all the time) 3) Much better food options and there’s a secret, more affordable way to eat What’s that? Tell you the secret? Why, I just may. They don’t list it on the big board menu, but you can order any side for $ 1.60. That means you can get just a couple sides and eat a satisfying meal for ~$ 3. Or, if you’re feeling particularly hungry, you can grab 3 sides for just under $ 5. And, what, you might ask, are those sides? They include things like: — Green salad(my favorite, has mushrooms, olives, really good fresh tomatoes, green-leaf lettuce(no iceberg here, folks) and a delicious dressing) — Mixed Veggies — French Fries — Mixed Fruit — Chicken Breast — Brisket — Pulled Pork — Mashed Potatoes And I’m sure there are more, but that’s a great start. You can go grab chicken breast and fries for $ 3 and leave completely full(and caught up on your sports) — there’s nowhere else to do that on campus. Oh, and as a PS — The giant cookies they have right below the cash register are also FANTASTIC — but don’t get one alone, it’s just too much cookie to not share…
