I absolutely love Dairy Queen, this location has some things to improve on though. These guys tend to be mostly closed for the last hour. If they are going to be closed, their hours should reflect that. Food is unavailable in that time frame too, only ice cream is available and there is only one worker running the place. Not thrilled that this has happened twice now and had to go to Carl’s Jr to get food.

I wish I had looked at these other reviews before I went here. Worst DQ I have ever been too! Service is incredibly slow and they are quite rude and short with you. They charge $ 6 for a kids meal, but make sure to look at the fine print, you can only get chocolate milk or water. What!?! I’ve never been to any fast food place that won’t let you get soda pop with the kids meals. The treat for the kids meals is also limited to only ice cream cones. Waited 20 minutes for my food. Had to practically bend back the arm of the girl waiting on me to give me ranch and fry sauce for the over priced kids meals! She glared at me the whole time. When I told them I wanted my salad to go, they wrapped it in Seran Wrap. Really!?! Then again here comes the arm bending to get ranch and a fork. Never coming here again!!! AVOID at all costs!!!

Like others have said, service is sub-par, but what really turns me off is the quality of the«ice cream.» It tastes like there’s not actual milk in it, just one of those low-quality soft serve mixes that’s mostly sugar and preservatives. I went with my husband last night and we both ordered different flavors of blizzards. Both the ice cream and the chocolate mixed in tasted plastic and synthetic. If you want a real shake or ice cream, go somewhere else.

I’ve had good experiences at this location, and while it’s in the thick of things close to the university, the service is fine and the Blizzard’s reign supreme. Any other place trying to mix candy in with ice cream will always be compared to Dairy Queen, but Dairy Queen always does it better.

I have been loyal to Dairy Queen since my childhood. Blizzards, misty floats, dipped cones… They are all great and every time we drive by a DQ my mouth starts to water a little bit just thinking about it. But I will not be a customer at this location any more. The owner is dishonest and scams his/her customers. Yes, their service is slow, especially for a location that feeds the force of freshman that live across the street. And they tend to be under supplied. But, I don’t blame the employees; they’re doing the best they can from what I can tell each time I go. My suspicion is that the owner keeps the location understaffed on purpose – greater personal profit. Even with these flaws, I would probably still buy ice cream here. Here’s my real problem: the owner pulls customers in with promotions and then decides not to honor them once the promotion day rolls around. We stopped by this DQ on a whim one weekend and were happily surprised by a sign on the window stating that there would be a 50% off day the following week. Who doesn’t love ice cream twice in a week, and 50% off at that! With great anticipation, we went to the store on the day of the promotion and were told that the promotion would not be honored. What? You put a sign in your window to pull me into the store and then tell me at the register(after I’ve ordered) that the most I can get is 10% off(which also was not given). That’s a scam people. And I won’t give my money to scammers.

The dairy queen on canyon road is rude and unethical. They have signs posted customer parking so after we spent over 60 dollars there buying lunch for 5 and dessert we thought nothing of letting great grama jump in our car while we ran an errand together. We came back a little later to find the car was towed at the tune of 165 dollars. REALLYWEWERECUSTOMERS !!! BUT Dont worry we wont ever be again. I wonder what kickback that manager, who wont return our calls, gets from the towing company. PLEASEBOYCOTT!!!

We came in 5 – 10 minutes before they closed and they wouldn’t serve us because they had turned off all their equipment. Super unprofessional.

Service here is absolutely atrocious. They are extremely slow, rude, and largely incompetent. Every time I come they are out of what I want. I am not lying. Last night we went and I told my girlfriend that I would bet her $ 10 bucks they would not have what we wanted. Well now she owes me $ 10. We tried to order a freeze, nope can’t do those because the machine is broken. Ok well can we get a brownie earthquake? Nope, they are all out of that too? Luckily they had ice cream so we could at least get an ice cream cone and a blizzard. On top of all of that we waited 15+ minutes to get our ice cream. It is absolutely ridiculous. I will be avoiding this place at all costs from here on out. This has not been a one time experience either. Every time that I have been to this Dairy Queen they have been sold out of something I have wanted without fail. On top of that they never fail to take forever to get us our food, respond rudely to our requests, give nasty looks on top of the rude responses, and overall produce a miserable experience.

I’ve checked something like eight times and they never have chocolate ice cream. Quality is okay. Service is usually decent. But be prepared in the drive thru to repeat your order twice or even three times and wait a while to get your food.

I had a rough experience the first time. Maison works there now though, pretty good at making malts and friendly. Ice cream is good.

Thomas is cool, Maison is cool, but head honcho hailey has got an attitude! In a word– unrighteousness dominion. She’s the one without her hat on with her nametag. Service is a little slow but the caramel malts are good.

Ordered a mud pie blizzard, they gave me a waffle cone mud pie. I told them what I ordered. The girl then swore at me and told me that is what I was getting! Was beyond rude. I told her that I wasn’t paying for what I didn’t order but she already had my card, she actually charged me! I will be calling corporate in the morning and complaining big time! I’ve already called my bank to have them fix the charge. Avoid this place!

I had the Mango Pineapple Julius and my date had the cherry-dipped cone. The service was good and the ice cream was delicious.

Worst Dairy Queen I’ve ever been to. It’s a shame it’s the only option in the area. There is 1 girl here working frantically to help all these hungry ppl. The food is good, but we were waiting for 45 mins for our lunch today… Everyone did. Needs new management and a makeover

What can you say its a DQ. Don’t go expecting anything over the top and you will be happy. As is the case with all DQ’s get the chicken strips and a Blizzard(no matter what flavor I don’t think you can go wrong).
