Absolute best tacos! Burritos are good, giant and typical. Eager to visit Provo again just to eat here again. Very much worth the wait standing in line at lunch time.

I love the food here! For me, it isn’t quite worth the price of the tacos to come back again and again, but everything was delicious and fresh.

Ditto all of the other fabulous reviews of this place. I love to run over here on my lunch/dinner breaks. The food is amazing and the people are cool and the atmosphere is great too. If its nice outside and crowded inside, the outdoor seating is perfect. I haven’t eaten anything here that I haven’t liked. So excited about this addition to downtown Provo

I thought this place was pretty good. My 4 star review isn’t taking value into account. I liked the food, but didn’t love it, but I was also surprised to come away with a $ 12 bill after ordering 2 tacos, rice and beans and a soda. I almost never get sodas, but they don’t even have ice water as an option and I’d rather pay for soda than water. I love me some San Pelligrino though. I got the carnitas and al pastor tacos. I always like al pastor better than carnitas, but this place is the exception. 1) They were a little lean on the pineapple in the al pastor and 2) the carnitas were so good! There was burnt ends like there is at bbq joints and it was awesome. For the price, I’d rather go to Brasso’s just a couple of streets south of here.

The outside is very unassuming but if you walk inside it’s cozy and hip. A short menu but everything on it is fresh. It’s definitely a fresh take on Mexican food so don’t be expecting the most authentic food in the world. I really enjoyed the new flavors. I could really tell they put thought into every aspect of the dish. The carnitas burrito was amazing!

Are you willing to spend 8 dollars for the best burrito you have ever had? I was. 4 times. In the past two weeks. The other times I came here, I got a steak taco(the steak is by far the best, whether in taco or burrito form), an al pastor taco(very good, comes with pineapple, probably my second favorite of the tacos), the chicken taco is also very good but knowing that I could have steak instead, I will probably not get chicken again. I haven’t tried the carnitas taco yet. Probably good though. I always get a Mexican coke with my order which makes it all even better. Thrown some of their salsa on there and it will be even better. Their red and their green salsas are both extremely good.

I’ve only been here once. It’s a hole in the wall place but they serve up reasonably good tacos. Everything I had(including rice and beans) was a bit too salty.

Average burrito but super greasy! Even the quesadillas were greasier than a pepperoni pizza at Costco. Fun place to eat outside.

Not as good as Black Sheep Café, Bleu’s other restaurant, but still good. I took a star off for that, and another because you don’t get a lot of food for the money. It seems there are quite a few of these little tortilla places opening up with expensive but delicious tacos.

There are downsides to have an open kitchen where the customer can see you making the food. For instance, I saw them make my burrito with a store bought tortilla and put store bought taco seasoning on my steak. It tasted just like what I could make at home for much cheaper. Also putting taco seasoning on steak should be outlawed.

Nothing but bad news from Blue Pablano. My opinion could not be lower. STOREBOUGHTTORTILLAS. Need I go on? Yes, actually, because they buy a giant shaker of taco seasoning from some grocery store and choke the flavor out of everything with it. Taco seasoning on ground beef? Understandable. Taco seasoning on chicken? Meh, not recommended, but again, meh. Taco seasoning on steak? Crime against mexican food humanity. My friends and I got one of each and they all tasted exactly alike. And it was not good. I spent $ 9 on a burrito that tasted like I dumped a seasoning pouch into my mouth and was small to boot! For less than half the price I could go to Alberto’s and get a bigger, tastier burrito. Sad is the day when a place touting classy mexican is beat out by a chain who has been renamed four times due to health hazards. At least Alberto’s doesn’t buy their torillas from Costco.

Had some of their tacos from a cart in Salt Lake at Granary Row last week. Honestly, some of the best tacos I’ve ever had. So so good.

Well here’s to disappointment. After hearing comparisons to other great Provo restaurants that have popped up in the last year or so such as Black Sheep Café and Tortilla Bar my wife and I really had high hopes. Unfortunately those hopes were dashed as we were served an underwhelming attempt at what I’m assuming was supposed to be Mexican food. I’m pretty sure my Enchilada Style Steak Burrito was just filled with chili from a can and maybe some ground beef. While Provo has certainly stepped up its game recently in the culinary world, this is definitely a step in the wrong direction. Save yourself the trouble and money by going to one of Provo’s other restaurants that is actually good.

I had the tacos al pastor and the steak tacos. They tacos are well done. The corn tortillas are home-made, and the meat was tender(not dry) and spiced just right — the spice didn’t overpower the meat. The toppings were simple and fresh, some light amount of cheese, avocado, and other fresh fixings. The salsas were pretty good as well and not so firey as to kill the taste of the meat. The beans were cooked in a unique way(like they make at home), with the cook heating up a serving of pinto beans just for each order, then pouring some crema fresca over the beans. The rice was fluffy, not mushy and had a nice kick to it. Pretty pricey though, about 3 bucks per taco.

As I’m a big fan of the nearby Black Sheep Café, I was excited to check out Blue Pablano, which is apparently run by the same folks. It was a beautiful Friday afternoon, the perfect day to take in a few tacos on the patio. We put our orders in: my fiancé and I both got taco combos: carnitas and steak for me, al pastor and steak for him. The other folks in our group got various burritos, some enchilada style, some not. We picked appropriate bottled drinks(I don’t know if I should be happy or sad they had the Izze Sparkling Clementine juice, because I love that stuff but maybe I shouldn’t be drinking so much of it) and headed outside to wait for our food. And wait. So that’s one thing they have in common with Black Sheep. But it’s all made fresh, right? The goods finally arrived and we dug in. I’d say all the food was solid. The carnitas was definitely a cut above the steak for me. The rice was nice(huhuhuh) and I am always down for pinto beans. Everything was fresh and tasty but I somehow felt… uninspired. These were definitely good tacos, but were they GREAT tacos? Were they worth the money($ 3+ per taco), the wait, and the drive down to Provo? With the vast array of taco opinions all along the Wasatch Front, I think the answer for me is no. If I lived closer to this place, though, I might be singing a different tune.

One menu with 4 permutations of meat. Meat on a tortilla. Meat wrapped in a bigger tortilla. Meat doused in mealty cheese. These are the offerings. There are no pablanos – nevermind their hue. I got a smothered steak burrito. It was good, but I think this is one place where the«smothered» added only to the price. My wife’s non-smothered carnitas burrito was easily picked up and eaten, and it was good. All the drinks were bottled, which I found odd. The lunch crowd occupied all the tables quickly leaving many to loiter while awaiting a spot to sit.

Provo is on the rise! This is a sister restaurant to Black Sheep and worthy of it. It is New American Mexican for the most picky of gringo yuppies. I recommend the alpastor tacos as they are the best in the Provo area. Ambience is great! Very small with only bar seating inside but in warmer weather they have plenty of patio seating. Make sure to get yourself a mexican refresca as well. Thanks to the onset of restaurants like these Provo is starting to look like a descent place to live! Like this!

Another gem, brought to you by Bleu Adams from Black Sheep Café. Tacos are delicious, and so are the rice, beans, and burritos. Small place, so once this place gets up and running there WILL be a line out the door. If the tables are full then get it to-go, and don’t whine about it. It’s worth it.
