The guy that is the host is RUDE. Food is decent. Staff a bit slow. Would give more stars if it was not for the horrible host who has such an attitude. He has to be a friend of the owners because I can’t imagine why this guy still has a job. So many better choices in Ptown so get over yourself!

Dined here twice in the past 2 weeks, once for dinner and once for lunch. Both times, service was excellent. My dinner consisted of their black angus burger which was one of the best burgers I’ve ever had, cooked to my liking(medium). Came with fries, which were hot. For lunch, this past weekend, I had the fish sandwich, which was a piece of fried haddock, with the side of fries(tartar sauce on the side). The fish wasn’t overly battered, and was delicious. My lunch companion had the blackened swordfish sandwich — which he said was great! I have eaten here several times over the years, and never have I had bad service, or bad food. I’ll definitely be back! The view overlooks the bay!

I required a smidge of hair of the dog on Saturday morning so we visited Betsy’s around 11:50am on Saturday 9.19.15. We enjoyed Bayside Mimosas, La Crema Chardonnay, and snacks of crab cakes and eggplant fries. The front bar area overlooking the people watching of Commercial Street is cozy and a great place to hang out. Peter, the bartender, took very good care of us and was witty and fun to be around while you relaxed. We had a nice experience and I feel it is important to acknowledge good service when you experience it since the world is so riddled by bad service. The bar area seemed to be very popular and was full very quickly. Peter managed to keep everyone fed and with a drink in hand regardless of how busy it was.

When compared to most of the food I ate while visiting PTown, I must say this place was the best. The portions and taste of their meals far exceeded that of their competitors. Very friendly staff and an awesome waterfront view from the seat we got too. When I come back I’ll eat here again.

Been here for breakfast many times and never disappointed(granted breakfast is hard to mess up). The servers were always attentive and friendly. I haven’t been here for dinner yet, but will probably try it at some point.

Slow service. Overcooked NY Strip steak that wasn’t actually strip steak. Grizzle steak would be more accurate. Husband ordered Chicken Oscar which had a tiny lobster claw on top. We saw the same dish on other tables with lobster heaped on top. This used to be a great place for dinner. No more. Take your chances or better yet go with proven quality and consistency. Fanizzi’s Restaurant. Always great food and value for your dollar. Betsy’s — Never Again. Am I bitter? No. Hugely disappointed and embarrassed having brought friends to share dinner with.

Came here for our final meal in Ptown. The pressure was on as every meal prior hit the spot. So glad we stumbled(literally and figuratively) upon this gem. We came about 30 minutes to the kitchen closing on Sunday night. Waitstaff was hella friendly and sat us closest to the water. The 90’s music that played all night kept us groovin to the beats as we chewed down on finger lickin’ ribs, the most delicious parmesan truffle oil Brussels sprouts I have ever eaten and the scallop risotto which also was divine. Our waiter was handsome and attentive. The food was delicious. The ambiance perfect. Thank you for a fabulous final meal in Ptown!

This place isn’t bad. I have had dinner here twice and their soup is where they shine. Both soups I have tried have been awesome… clam chowder and French onion… sooo good… some of the best I have had. Everything else is pretty standard including the service. I have had salads and other items here… all ok and the drinks are also ok but on the sweeter side. The view is fantastic from the windows and I would come here again for that alone. A funny side note: they always have people standing outside trying to coax you in…7 years ago there was a very whimsical fellow standing outside and he actually coaxed us in with his humor… he actually told us that in the 70’s the way to get dates is if you had a bag of money and a bag of powder LOL… we went in to eat and our waiter hit on my husband lol… it was a very good time :)

Very disappointed! Very over priced for what you get. The hamburger was a frozen Patty and the lobster roll was not very good. A dinner for 2 was 42.00 not worth the money at all.

Dropped in for lunch while doing the Commercial St. walking tour of P-town. Our Bulgarian host that seated us was suave and accommodating. Our waiter, Matthew in a word was«EFFERVESCENT!!» Unfortunately the food did not match the quality of the service. Lobster roll overpriced and just ok. Drinks were just ok and a bit pricy. Nice view, but there are many restaurants to choose from in Provincetown. I will endeavor to see another next time

Excellent friendly service. Very clean. Right on the water. Spinach salad was fresh and tasty. Hubby got Clam Chowder and said there was clam in every bite. Excellent! Would give 5 stars a bit pricey. Would return.

Let me preface this review by saying that I will be back to give them a second chance. We had a terrible experience, and I am chocking it up to the fact that they were understaffed, and overcrowded. They were not prepared for the winter rush just before the town shuts down for the season and I guess they’re in a high-traffic area, so it’s no wonder that they(being one of only 6 restaurants that were open for lunch on NYE) were out of everything. BUT, I wasn’t told that they were out of what I had ordered until after we had eaten our appetizer and my boyfriend had his main course. This is unacceptable, as we had ordered almost an hour prior to this. My soup was ice cold and when I finally received my main course(almost an hour later), my boyfriend was finished with his entire meal. I can’t blame our server – who seemed extremely stressed out, because it’s not his fault, but the entire experience was less than enjoyable. I’ll be back when the season picks up and I’ll try it again.

We got an «iffy» start to our breakfast because the place was severely understaffed. We almost left because there was no one to seat us. It seemed like one lone server(very nice man, didn’t get his name) was running the floor by himself. He managed to find a way to spend more-than-enough time with us, and he chatted about all kinds of topics. Talk about grace under pressure. That guy was great. The«most unique» thing about the whole experience is when I went to visit the restroom after our meal. It seems they were«space-challenged» during the floor planning phase of the restaurant. The sink was placed directly over the potty, and I’m tall, so I had to duck when I sat down to avoid hitting my head!(see my two photos). The breakfast was wonderful and we will definitely be back when we return next summer.

This place has a great view from the inside, which is perfect for a chilly day like today! The clam chowder was the best dish at our table. It was a hearty soup with chunks of clam, and the right amount of seasoning. We also had a grilled cheese with eggplant fries, fish wrap, and lobster roll. These dishes were«meh.» Typical bar food I suppose. Besides, once you have a Neptune Oyster lobster roll in Boston 2 hours away, no others compare. Great service, and very small, but very clean restrooms. Good place for cocktails, but probably not food. Stop at the clam chowder.

The service was stellar. These guys running the show are very nice. They were very friendly and made me feel like I was at home in my own community and I appreciated that considering I was cross country. The room was pretty and had great windows over looking the bay to the Atlantic Ocean. I love the ocean and this is a great spot to watch while it is chilly outside. The food though… was subpar. I was not impressed. We ordered a few things. We started with a bowl and a cup of clam chowder. WOW it was deliciousness incarnate! We became very excited for our meals. I made the mistake of ordering a lobster roll after going to Neptune’s Oyster Bar. I didn’t expect it to be full of mayo. A cold lobster salad on a hot toasted bun was weird to me. The flavors were good just not what I expected. To be honest… If we stopped at the clam chowder– I would have rated it a 5 star.

Lobster ravioli! Man, that was good. And I also had to apologize to my friends for bogarting all the onion rings. They were awesome. There’s a great view from here, the service is nice and the food is great. What more can you ask for?

I really like the gayness of this place. The servers are very nice, and the view is terrific. Food is good at night, pass on the breakfast. Milk with ice cubes? Really, is milk so expensive that you have to water it down?
