I was starting to fall in love with this place, and three times in a row on date night. This time however the frozen custard was very greedy and tasted like it had been either frozen or left out too long and curdled. When I brought this to the attention of the worker she said«oh that’s too bad there must be something wrong with it.» She then turned around and went to the back of the store leaving me dumbfounded with this defective ice cream in hand. We had a good run zeppes, but you lost me there. I’ll recover from this heartbreak eventually.

I love Italian ice, but I’m not a fan of finding a long hair in one. I know it’s an unavoidable downside of food service, but it makes for a bad experience.

Never thought I’d find such a good water ice place outside of New Jersey, but here we are with a great place in Logan, Utah of all places. They have the right consistency, flavor and smoothness. Most other places try and pass off Water Ice as a snow cone, but it’s so much more and better. I got a Mango flavor and it was just as good as I was hoping for. The regular size was only $ 2.50 and way larger than I was expecting. I was too full for any custard, but I will be going back for some. If you’re in Logan and need some desert or something sweet, this is the place to come.

I used to love the gelata but they have started cutting way down on the custard in the bottom. I guess they wanted to save some money. Well they will not be getting any of my money.

FREAKINGGOOD. Enough said. My favorite is to get the gelata with sunset splash and piña colada or coconut cream. AMAZE. Seriously I drive up to cache valley occasionally and every time I’m here I go to Zeppes!

Hallelujah for Italian Ice! This definitely satisfied my craving of something sweet and simple. And especially on a day like today, I needed to nice, cool treat. I got the Aqua Fusion, it was quite tasty – if you like sour(Blue Raspberry and Green Apple), my friend snagged peach and my sister purchased the gelata, which is a delightful mixture of custard and Italian ice. The pricing is fair, as well as the serving sizes. I got a kids for less than $ 2, and trust me, they pack that«small» cup FULL. It overflows with tasty ice and a hint of love, which makes it that much better. My only stipulation was the restaurant as a whole, it was freezing inside and the garbage was overflowing. It also shares a wall with Little Ceasers Pizza, so I’d occasionally take a bite of blue raspberry and a nice whiff of pepperoni – a strange combination indeed. Nonetheless, it will not prevent me from going back sooner than later. TIPS&TRICKS: * They do have SAMPLES(And we all know how well that wins me over), take advantage of that and see what flavor you should purchase. * They play some funky jams, be sure to sing along as you inhale your treat. * Wear a jacket.

Yummy. Our new favorite place to take visitors! I haven’t been able to decide which flavor is my favorite, because I’ve liked every flavor I’ve tried. One time, two of the servers combined two flavors, and that was also really tasty.

Holy moly I am so glad this popped up on my Unilocal feed. This will definitely be my go to place for a hot summer day… can’t wait to go back and try more flavors! Custard is amazing and ice is fruity and delicious. Cute little shop and the employees are super nice especially putting up with me to try a bunch of flavors!

I am obsessed with Zeppe’s after only one visit. I can’t believe such a wonderful establishment is located in Logan, Utah(actually, Providence, of all places), but won’t look a gift horse in the mouth. My friend and I came for the gelata — Zeppe’s combination of Italian water ice and custard. To the uninitiated, custard is pretty self explanatory. Italian water ice, on the other hand is like the most perfectly blended snow cone ever, ever, ever. It’s thick, like actual snow, and the flavor is strong. The courteous employee allowed us to try several flavors before we settled on strawberry lemonade and Sunset Splash(sort of a citrus-y peach). They were amazing. The combination of vanilla and fruit was incredible. I got like six brain freezes due to overly-enthusiastic consumption. As I was trying my first several bites of strawberry lemonade gelata, I thought about how perfect Zeppe’s is going to be in the summer. I’ll be so hot that I want to die when the boy behind the counter hands me a gelata, just in the nick of time. Nothing will be better than that!

Gelato + Slurpee = water ice. You get the same creaminess, rich flavor, and fruitiness as gelato has, but with the same icy mouthfeel as Slurpees or Icees. It’s not blazingly sweet, probably due to being sweetened with fruit purees instead of exclusively sugar. Homemade ice cream + soft serve = old-fashioned custard. It is way more flavorful and satisfying than soft-serve, but it’s not soupy like homemade ice cream is. So which do you get? You get both. Order a gelata, which has custard on the bottom, filled the rest of the way with water ice, and topped with a generous cone of more custard. Oh, my. As soon as they introduce their margarita flavor I’m going to have to claim Zeppe’s as a second residence. Ridiculously good.
