Blergh. Honestly, I don’t like this place. And I wish I did, because it’s a really convenient location for me. It’s dark, dingy, dusty, and despite actually having a pretty good wine and booze selection, it feels empty. I’ve never seen the same people working here, like, ever… ad I just can’t be happy while I’m in here. Call me old-fashioned, but I like to enjoy shopping for my libations. Blergh. Blergh. Blergh.

I used to come here over a decade ago, and it was a cool place. Now that I was back in the area, I was excited to try it out again. But the place had totally changed. I was expecting a veritable«world of wines,» but instead I found about 12 – 15 wines from France. That’s it. I can get that many at Trader Joe’s! The folks working there weren’t very friendly and were arguing over where to place their display with each other, in front of me, their only customer. They were so focused on arguing with each other that I didn’t really exist. Not great customer service in my eyes. And a lackluster wine selection and the prices were too high for what they were selling.

With a name like this I got excited, expecting to find some international liquors and wines I’ve been aching for recently. Alas, this is just your run of the mill liquor/wine place. They should utilize some of the empty space they’ve got going on and increase their stock with more interesting product and compelling sales displays! I know they’d at least have 1 interested customer lol *whimper* Now where will I find any Choya or Soju!

World of Wines has taken over what used to be Haxton’s or something. The store is really big, and some parts of it seem really bare. The prices are mediocre as is their selection. I’ve come here a couple times, because it’s close and right off the highway.
