Stopped in on a Saturday night and had a lot of fun. The DJ was good, the crowd was cool. I’ve heard this place is a hit or miss night, but I’d have to say Saturday was a hit. The bartenders were pretty good and quick with drinks, unless you plan on keeping a tab I would suggest bringing cash the credit card machine was slow which left you at the bar waiting to get your card back. But overall, 295 was a pretty cool place.

Two9Five features Providence’s best music, wines and martinis. Two 9 Five owners and operators first opened Providence’s favorite café & lounge in 2008. The unique décor is inspired by their many road trips across country and overseas. They combined the look of many of their favorite places, from different regions, to create a unique place that would look like no other. Two 9 Five offers a mix of great music and atmosphere. Our well stocked bar and knowledgeable bartenders will create any drink you can imagine. Our large screen TVs make Two 9 Five a great place to catch your favorite team. During football season, we are a favorite spot for watching Monday Night Football with friends. Complete with«PRIVATE» outdoor patio, Two 9 Five has all the ingredients for a great time.

Went here last weekend and will not return. This place is awful. I agree 100% with the other negative comments on this establishment. With so many other bars and restaurants in the area there is no need to return here. ZEROSTARS

This place is horrible. There is something to be said when there is literally 6 – 8 people in the entire place on a Saturday night when every other bar and restaurant on Atwells Ave seemed to be packed. That should have been our first hint. This lack of business can only be due to the service. It is horrible. We ordered a pair of drinks and found a fly in one of them. We politely asked for a new drink. The female bartender seemed miffed and took the drink away to produce a new one. Came back with new drink — yep, still a fly in it. Not worth the argument, we left never to return ever again. Too many other fine choices in the area to even bother coming back.

Too bad for this place… maybe if they knew I was a Unilocaler the service would have been a little better and they wouldn’t be getting 1 star! My sister would give negative stars if she could. Miserable Miserable Staff! It’s a Saturday night, the music in the place is bumpin… you walk in thinking, hey this could be a good time. But then you approach the bar and reconsider that thought… what’s with the attitude problems? My sister and I both order a drink and after doing so, one bartender sits there texting, the other comes around and sits near us at the bar watching TV and the other guy sits on the cooler playing with his bracelets. Well, I understand there was a whole 10 people in the bar so there was no need for 3 bartenders at that time, but don’t take it out on your customers. And I seriously felt like I was sitting a Jersey Shore bar because I was sitting next to Snookie’s twin. Seriously hunny, you are orange… lay off the tanning! Anyways, my sister finished her 1st drink about 10 minutes before I did but she sat there with me while I finished mine. Once I was done with my drink we sat there for a minute… So now about 15 minutes has gone by my sisters glass has been empty the entire time, and no one offered us another drink. Please remind me again why there are 3, YESTHREE bartenders on??? Oh that’s right, they were too busy looking miserable and bored to notice they had customers. I’ve never walked out of a place without tiping before, but this is the type of place I def would have. Too bad I already tipped them. Pauly D is supposed to be DJin’ there tonight,… Go figure and good luck to him since that IS his typical crowd.

The most Rhode Island experience I’ve ever had. At 5’7″, I was one of the tallest people in here(guys included). Good music(not loud enough though) and reasonably priced drinks. Go here if you want an authentic Hill night, complete with big hair, hair gel, tight $ 80 men’s t-shirts with designs on them, huge muscles, designer jeans, lots of black leather, and potentially a dude who spills whiskey all over you and spends the rest of the night buying your friends drinks. Be sure to stop for hot weiners on the way home.

I am not sure why more people don’t go to this place! It is AWESOME! It setup is GREAT, very modern. High end TV’s setup that show the game. They back patio is unbelievable although hidden. They just need more people serving you out back, but other than that it is really nice.

A new bar on Atwells. I like that Atwells is acquiring new nightlife — the more places I can walk(stumble) home from the better. I have been here twice since it opened, and if I reviewed it after my first visit, I probably would’ve given it four stars. Now, just three. What I like about it: the back patio. There aren’t that many places on Atwells ave, let alone in Providence that you can drink outside. The chairs are comfy and both times I was able to get a table for my friends and me. The drinks aren’t that overpriced, though they’re not cheap either. The first time I went I really like the crowd. There was a good mix of ages and types, and it wasn’t as Atwells Avey as other places — you know what I’m talking about. Unfortunately that is what changed from the first time to the second time I went — the crowd. Now it feels like a really cheap pick up place with girls wearing dresses way way too short and guys with a pound of gel in their hair. My friends told me that if I even tried to go talk to someone they were going to intervene. The other huge negative, especially for guys, is that there is only one bathroom for the whole place. While guys usually get to laugh at the ladies who are waiting in line as they stroll in and out of the bathroom, they are now waiting in that same line. One of the people that works there did let me use the bathroom downstairs(in a dirty and so not finished basement), which is nice, but isn’t going to fly in the long run. I’m wondering how this place will do over time. It has potential with the location and the outside patio, but there are definitely some things working against it right now.
